Green lentils with onions, garlic and lecho

Ingredients

Lentils 2 measuring cups
Water 2.5 measuring cups
Bulb onions 1 PC
Garlic 2 slices
Lecho (I have a homemade preparation) 5st. l.
Salt taste
Pepper taste
Olive oil 10-20 ml

Cooking method

  • Fry onions, garlic, with the lid open, turning the knob to the closed position.
  • Since these are sooo light products, (and this cuckoo does not turn on without a filled saucepan ... that's what quality safety !!!!!) I always put a wooden rolling pin on top of the saucepan. We select the Turbo mode and fry, for 5-7 minutes, then add lecho and fry for another minute 2, add lentils, fry everything together for a minute 3-4 and turn off this mode.
  • Add the required amount of water, salt and pepper. We select the Low pressure mode and all our lentils are cooked.
  • The program started in 18-22, at 18-44 steam release,18-47 left 9 minutes in 18-53 more steam, 18-56 ready.

Tanyulya - Tanya!
I share your love for lentils!
Now I am preparing it in the Porridge mode, because I am testing the setting on the Timer of the Kasha mode. I'll see how lentils will be ready in this mode
Your recipe is wonderful, I will definitely cook it like that!

Thank you, Svetlana. On Kasha it will turn out well, I did it, though orange, it turned out straight into pureed. Good luck. And the Timer is sooo convenient, I cook Porridge and casseroles only on the timer.

Tanyulya, would you tell me, should you soak lentils in water before cooking?

I do not soak this lentil. This is Mistralovskaya; they have all types of lentils clean and well boiled, so there seems to be no need for soaking.

Good day. Today she became the owner of a multicooker and immediately to you for advice. And for frying onions and carrots, do you turn on Turbo on which program?
If I understood correctly - Turbo speeds up the cooking time for the selected program. This mode cannot be enabled independently. Tell a newbie.

Good afternoon, Turbo works only in High pressure mode, double-click on the Warka-Turbo button.

Good day.Tanyulya, why do you cook lentils at low pressure? Is this because of its foaming ability or something else? Does this mode have much lower pressure? Thanks in advance for your reply. I am trying to understand completely the modes, but there is not enough real information.

Good afternoon, I'm sorry I didn't see the question right away. I just liked the lentils at low pressure (not very boiled), on the Multipovar it boiled into porridge for me, on Kasha for a very long time and it also turns out puree, I simply did not try it on other modes.

Thanks for the answer. I understand that the pressure is much lower. And what do you think, with the twisted valve (removed), the 1010 will look like a multicooker in modes? I mean, can you not be afraid of problems with products that foam in pressure cookers with this option?

With the valve turned off, I only do baked goods, and even then not all. I cook pasta without unscrewing the valve, I just pour water to cover a little bit of the pasta.

Well, I understand that I am reasoning correctly. twisted the valve and ... a multicooker instead of a pressure cooker. or not?

I didn't try to open the lid at that moment, honestly.

I would cook a pressure of 1-2 on Kasha, the default time or 30 minutes (I have Mistral lentils, it boils well). With or without pre-roasting, that's not for everybody.
