Girls, tell me please, I thawed the pork liver and I really want to make it according to the recipe Liver with onions in sour cream (I did it with chicken) I almost swallowed my tongue, tell me, will it work with pork? something doesn’t come into my head, what can be done from it Thanks in advance

Nelechka
Of course it will work out (I did it with beef), it's just that the chicken liver is more tender, but so ... do it boldly!
Stern
nelya , for the future. It would be good to pre-hold the pork liver in milk so that the specific smell goes away, and only then cook.

StеrnThanks for the chicken liver recipe.
I just got the gravy. 700 gr. liver, I plumped 500 gr. sour cream. And then, as I look, it only needs 100 grams.
Well, nothing, the gravy was delicious. Even in the refrigerator froze, then generally became. The liver is so soft.
Here is a photo of the gravy bubbling.

Stеrn Thank you for the liver with onions in sour cream, I appreciated the method of frying onions (where we move the fried onions to the side and put the liver on the empty space). I like it better! True, I didn’t dare to add a tomato ... Probably, next time I’ll try.

Our family loves the liver very, very much, so I am constantly on the lookout for how to cook this healthy product that would be tasty and varied. Yesterday I had Liver with Onions in Sour Cream for dinner.
It is really very tasty, quickly and my liver turned out to be tender and juicy, I did not expect such a result, especially since in the absence of chicken, I took beef.

alenka, did you do it in the cartoon? what mode?
just think of what to do new with chicken liver.
TyominaAlyona
Yes, in a cartoon, on baked goods. The biggest "difficulty" is to rake the onion in a "heap" after frying (the working surface of the pan is much larger than the bottom of the multi).
Yesterday everyone cracked instantly and ordered an urgent "repeat".
Stеrn, thanks again! I'll go back to your author's Temko to rustle, you look and I'll learn to cook.

Alyonochka, I went here by the link for a liver, and the question is, why did you do it at Baking? another regime will not work? and how much time approximately? And then I'm even afraid that it will burn, the program is hot ...

I'm thinking about it too ...
can first fry in BAKERY, and then transfer to STEWING?
Inusya
So I think so, fry on Baking (although more often I use Steam for these purposes), and then transfer to Stewing, and in even 40 minutes, I think it will be enough. I always remember that the liver (any) does not like Very long cooking. (Well, this is already my 5 kopecks, for an amateur ...)
In general, simple and cool!
TyominaAlyona
It so happened - for baking. I fried the onion, raked it into a pile, fried the liver - the juice went and a lot, the liver turned pale, mixed it with the onion, began to blush on the same program. There was no tomato yesterday (today I will do it with a tomato - I bought it with a specialist not only for the salad). Added sour cream (it turned out a little more). Here it would be better to stew until the liquid evaporates, but I liked the gravy so much, and I needed it for a rustic side dish. And I tried the liver - it is already cool. So the liver gurgled with sour cream, I fell asleep with herbs and turned it off - delicious! Everything turned out pretty quickly, if you evaporate the liquid and blush more, it will, of course, work out longer.

Crumb, I can not answer in a personal - the box is full. I'll tell you here. Thank you for poking my nose into the Treasury so successfully !!!
Klava
Thank you! It tasted amazing !!! True, I added half a spoonful of mustard and mayonnaise .. I just love to cook everything in small sizes, and the liver does not have such a dense pulp and it turned out to be all brown in color (well, in a collective farm way, my liver crumbled) but the taste is super !! thanks for the recipe, next time I'll try to make with chicken liver ...
_strekoza_
My all really liked it. I have already cooked it several times. I constantly forget to take pictures, and when I remember, there is nothing to photograph. A very tender and tasty liver turns out super! Thank you very much for the recipe!

I very often stew the liver in sour cream, and for a side dish I boil rice or even pasta ... Delicious and satisfying!
xelena5
It turned out very tasty. In my finished dish, the onion disappeared somewhere, which made me very happy.

Helen, good luck to you Liver with onions in sour cream and thanks for the tip!

I am beautifull
and what sour cream to take, fat? I made yoghurt on thermostatic yogurt (or did it turn out yogurt too?), Can I use it? Or curl up? Is it possible to use matsoni (sold in our store)?
Thank you! I was looking for just such a recipe!
Stern
Olenka, I think that yogurt and yogurt can curl up. And sour cream is suitable for any fat content.

Stеrn Hello
Stеrn, please tell me what did I do wrong? It seems that everything is according to the recipe, but the liver turned out to be tough, rubbery. How can I save her? Help me please!

the liver turned out to be tough, rubbery.

Olenka, is it okay if I fit in?

This usually happens if you overexpose the liver on fire, in other words, overcook it ...

You can save, that's what our Lizonka writes about this.Vei here :

Quote: Vei

If the liver is fried and covered with a lid, then it instantly turns out to be tough, and then it is necessary to extinguish it for at least 2 hours to regain its softness.

As an option well, if it's really impossible to eat straight , you can put it on the pate ...

Stern
Hello Olya!
Either you overcooked the liver, or the liver itself was unimportant (a lot of films, tough, from an old animal, frostbitten ...) If the liver was unsuccessful, you can still make it soft by adding during stewing (500-600 gr. Liver ) - about 1/3 of a glass of beer. The beer smell will not remain, and the liver will become softer.
I am beautifull
KroshaEchka, you are welcome
Yes, I probably overcooked it, but I will try to save it. I understand that now you can put it in the MV for 2 hours to extinguish? Then I'll really pour beer there.
Stеrn, thanks, now I'll go buy some beer. The only question is what? Brand, color, degree of alcohol? I don't drink beer, my husband is rare. So which is better?
Stern
I prefer dark. And what brand are you yourself. I don’t know what kind of beer you have.
I am beautifull
I did it !!! Hurray comrades! I report: the aroma during the extinguishing in the MV was stunningly stupefying, for some reason bread. Maybe because of the beer? I added about 1/3 cup (200g glass) of dark beer, stewed for 2 hours and some more on heating. As a result, she softened, for me it is enough (I like to chew), my husband has not tried it yet, but I think it will be harsh for him. The son immediately said "Fu", he didn't like the color, but the rice with gravy dwindled very quickly, which is a rarity. He only eats pasta and candy so quickly.

Thank you very much for the recipe !!! Rarely do I cook the liver, because rarely I get it edible. I chose the recipe for a long time and stopped at this. I cooked in a multicooker on baking mode, total time 40 minutes. Delicious!!!! An ideal liver for my taste. Next time I want to add some mushrooms for variety. Thanks to the author !!!!
Miss Raspberry
Stеrn, take a photo report. I have never eaten such a delicious liver. Thank you very much for the recipe !!!!!
