Baked pumpkin with onions

Ingredients

~ 800 gr pumpkin
2 large onions
salt
paprika
cinnamon
2 tbsp flour
vegetable oil

Cooking method

  • So the summer ended and the struggle with the harvest began. Let's start with the pumpkin. For pork and chicken, a side dish of baked pumpkin with onions is very suitable.








  • For savory dishes, we take unsweetened pumpkin varieties (nutmeg or with green skin), freshly picked, since they have less sugar. The longer the pumpkin lies, the sweeter it becomes.

  • We clean the pumpkin and cut into small cubes, put in a baking dish, add a little oil, salt and stir. Sprinkle with a little paprika and cinnamon. Put onion cut into half rings on top of the pumpkin. Sprinkle the onion with flour and sprinkle well with oil to get the flour wet.

  • Bake the onions in the oven until golden brown.
