Sweet and sour sauce

Ingredients

Fresh plums (from the freezer) 400 g
Spicy mixture "Gingerbread" to taste (1 \ 3 tsp.)
Brown sugar to taste (2-3 tsp)
Bitter pepper taste
(2 rings of red hot pepper)

Cooking method

  • Put the plums in a small saucepan, add 1/2 cup of water - bring the plums to the boil state.
  • Add spices, sugar, pepper and cook the sauce over low heat until the plums are completely boiled and the excess water evaporated.
  • Taste the sauce - and adjust it with spices, sugar.
  • Tip - Add less spices at first and gradually bring the sauce to the desired taste, gradually adding the right amount.
  • When the sauce thickens, put it in a sieve and wipe the mass.
  • Pour the sauce back into the pot and heat it for 1-2 minutes.
  • The sauce is ready. Pour the sauce into a cup (jar) and let it cool.
  • Cooking time - 15-20 minutes at all stages.
  • Note that hot sauce tastes stronger and spicier.
  • When the sauce cools down, all the flavors fall into place, and acquire completely different flavors.
  • And now - with what will we use this sauce? The best option is with meat dishes.
  • Boil the chicken breast for a couple, cut it thinly into plates, pour over the sauce of your choice.

Note

This sauce is easy and quick to make at home from any berries and fruits.
The sauce will replace store-bought sauces for meat and fish, vegetables and will be prepared by you without preservatives and only according to your taste.
And then, the sauce can be prepared when you need it and in small quantities, and even several such sauces - for all tastes of your relatives.

Today I did sweet and sour sauce made from fresh plums (prunes).
