Pea soup with smoked meat in a slow cooker (Panasonic SR-TMH 18)

Pea soup with smoked meat in a slow cooker (Panasonic SR-TMH 18)

Ingredients

Meat (fresh pork ribs) 300 g
Smoked ribs 300 g
Peas whole or yellow halves
dry (do not pre-soak)
1 glass from the multicooker
Finely chop the onion 1 PC.
Cut carrots into circles 1 PC.
Sweet pepper, coarsely chop
(can be used from the freezer)
1/2 medium
Fresh red tomatoes (cut into pieces)
it is good to use sun-dried tomatoes with spices
2-3 pcs.
Cut potatoes coarsely 2-3 pcs.
Salt, spices to taste
Fresh greens

Cooking method

  • For the finished dish - sour cream and (or) croutons directly on the plate.
  • I put all the products (except for herbs) into the multicooker pan, pour the required amount of cold water and turn on the multicooker in the Stew mode for 3 hours in time.
  • I set the time with a margin, the multicooker can always be turned off later if the soup is ready earlier.
  • I determine the readiness of the soup by the readiness of the peas - the degree of readiness. Or just soft peas on the bite, or you need boiled peas before mashed potatoes. I always choose the medium option - there are whole peas, and at the same time there are already boiled peas.
  • This takes about 2-2.5 hours. At the same time, potatoes and vegetables are not boiled and remain intact.
  • At the end of cooking, I taste it, add salt, spices, celery (parsley) in any form - fresh, dried, ice cream.
  • Let it sit for another 5-10 minutes - and you can serve it on the table.
  • You can add sour cream to portioned plates and serve white bread croutons separately.
  • Pea soup with smoked meat in a slow cooker (Panasonic SR-TMH 18)

Note

I cook such a soup periodically, it always turns out to be painfully tasty - the taste of boiled peas and the taste and smell of smoked ribs!
Bon appetit, everyone!

I have already made pea soup several times according to your recommendations - this is exactly the one that is adored in our family.

slightly changed the proportions, we love the spoon to stand.
peas I take 3-4 multi-cups on a full multi-pot. do not soak.
I take only smoked ribs for meat.
and then everything is according to the recipe - vegetables, spices, herbs to taste.

I cook in the STEWING mode, set it for 3 hours, but usually turn it off earlier.

The most "multicooker" recipe for pea soup of all available: loaded all at once, opened after three hours and you're done! And the most delicious! Thank you!

Admin Tatiana, tell me, how much bowl is your recipe designed for? We have a Polaris 508 cartoon.

Well, the name of your multicooker also doesn't tell me anything today, there are a lot of them and different!

As a rule, I cook broth for 250-300 grams of meat and 2-2.5 liters of water. So it will be more accurate to say.
This is an old recipe, and I cooked the soup in a Panasonic multicooker.

It is important to know the principle of preparation, and you can always choose the amount of ingredients and soup yourself.

Well, you all teased me, tomorrow, that is, today I will definitely cook.
Thanks for the recipe.

Thanks a lot for the recipe. It turned out very tasty soup, and most importantly quickly.
I did it without bell peppers, and added tomato paste together with the tomatoes. I didn't have time to put in the herbs and spices, and so they all dared.

To your health!
Next time, try to cook according to the recipe, adding both pepper and tomatoes instead of pasta and certainly greens - and you will see how much the taste of the soup will change, it will become richer, more aromatic

but I didn't get such a soup at all, the peas remained hard and did not boil at all ((((I don't even know what to think, for peas or a recipe, I cooked for three hours in the stewing mode and put it for another half hour
How to cook peas so that they boil in mashed potatoes?
maybe tomatoes gave acid, which contributed to the indigestibility of peas?
Admin

Try to pre-soak peas in water overnight, for 12 hours - and then lay along with everything according to the recipe. Such peas should be boiled.
I do not like mashed peas, so I put the peas without soaking, I had enough time to make the soup.
You can set the time immediately more, 4 hours, for example.
Begimot
The fact of the matter is that the peas were soaked and stood all night, in the morning I bought smoked meats, raw ribs, in general, everything was according to the recipe, increased the time, the soup turned out to be very tasty, but the peas are solid, I still think that the peas are like that, or raw tomatoes gave acid, which fixed the peas, although the potatoes retained their shape, but at the same time they melt in the mouth
Admin

Take the split peas in half and soak them too. I always cook with tomatoes, I prefer to sauté them with other vegetables.
Begimot
In any case, thanks for the recipe))) now I will be stewing cabbage with mushrooms in the cartoon
Begimot
by the way, the recipe is not ready for stewing cabbage?)))

People, I'm a vegetarian, that's why peas are often present in my diet. I cook it every day, and I realized that a lot of water is not needed for well-boiled peas, I add it gradually, as needed! If you add water as for a soup, even after prolonged cooking, solid particles may remain. True, now I do not bother at all, the slow cooker regulates everything by itself, in the evening I put peas unsoaked - in the morning, chic pea puree! Thanks to the forum, otherwise I would continue to invent the wheel!

This is what I have never observed that peas remain raw during prolonged cooking. My peas in an ordinary saucepan on gas for 25-30 minutes are boiled almost to mashed potatoes (without even soaking it) and with a quiet boil. Only I don’t eat pea puree, I don’t tolerate it - therefore I never cook it without control, but in such a way that it was possible to check the readiness, so that it was ready, but not boiled down. And that's why I stopped cooking it in pressure cookers.

It is not recommended to constantly pour water into soups during cooking, especially cold, so the cooking of soups is stopped for a while, and the rich taste of soups, which is gradually collected during cooking, is washed out. It is better to put all the products at once (or in turn) and then pour water until the soup is thick enough. If there is still a need to add water, then only boiling water is added so that the cooking process does not stop.
Then the rich taste of the soup will remain, and indeed of any dish when stewing.

I talked to my mother, she is inclined to think that such peas were caught)))

But the stewed cabbage turned out to be very good)))

To your health! So we invent the recipes ourselves.Approximately what we cook on the stove, we shift it to multicooker, the main cooking principle is to understand and the programs

Did you stir the cabbage while cooking? And what is the cooking time?

Did you stir the cabbage while cooking? And what is the cooking time?

The multicooker works without pressure, at any time you can open and intervene in the process. And it is better to stir the cabbage so that the excess liquid is gone and the cabbage is stewed with vegetables in oil - it will be much tastier than in your own juice and when you have a lot of your own juice
