Good afternoon everyone!
Please help me with this question: I have a Moulinex OW3000 bread maker, among its main programs there is the Compotes and Jam program, so I wanted to cook compote, but only fruits and sugar are written as ingredients for this! Isn't it necessary to add water to make compote?

Probably, this is a recipe for jam, not compote.
In fact, for recipes that are listed in the instructions as "jam", a large amount of sugar is put in, - a thick real jam is obtained, but for a "compote" it is suggested to put only a few tablespoons of sugar. The authors rather hoped that apples, for example, would yield a lot of juice and these few spoons would be clearly not enough for the thickness of the jam.

In any case, I would say that it will be mashed potatoes, not jam, and certainly not compote.

Yes, I have about the same thoughts about this!
Therefore, I turned to this forum, I want to know if anyone cooked the compote (did they add water)? And if so, in what proportions?

Anastasia Bogatova, yesterday I cooked pumpkin, lemon and orange jam in HB, without water. It turned out great.
I think for compote it is necessary to pour boiled water about 60 degrees Celsius on fruits or berries, about 1 liter of water per half a kilo of berries or fruits.
It is only important that fruits or berries are dried, since fresh ones cannot be boiled, all vitamins will be boiled down.
