The new model MB Orion OR-MT01 is on sale.
Lots of nice features:
Prepare
Accelerated cooking
Crust
Pie
Yogurt
Parboiled rice
Warming up
Frying
Paste
Extinguish
Soup
Steam.
It is possible to increase the cooking time.
But here's the problem - I quote the instruction:
"The delayed cooking program applies to Crust, Yogurt, Fry, Pasta, Stew, Soup and Steam modes."
That is, if I understood correctly, the Cook mode is the porridge mode, I will not set it for the night (using the timer). This is what stops me from buying CF.
Tell me if this is really so. Maybe someone has a similar instruction (model) MB.
Thank you.
Agata21
Your multicooker is a copy of Maruchi 47. it is used in Russia. Look for reviews and recipes on other multicooker forums.

As far as I understand, the instructions missed "NOT", that is, the delayed start is NOT applicable to these programs (as well as in other brands of MB).

Who cares, today in Foxmart I saw the Orion multicooker for 444 UAH, cheaper than in online stores! I don’t know if all the stores of the Foxmart chain have them, so I’m specifying exactly where I saw and felt - in Zaporozhye Foxmart, which is on Yubileyny Avenue (Khortitskiy district).
Only a huge effort of will and the thought of her husband's grumbling at another, in his opinion, unnecessary purchase, stopped from buying this multi, the price is very good and the cartoon is wonderful ...
Olyalya82
What to say! I saw this slow cooker in Foxtrot, the price is of course tempting. But when I took the pot in hand, it became clear that I would never buy it. The coating is kind of light gray in appearance, thin, similar to Panasonic's, while the pan itself is thin and light. at the same time, the pan is already in some scuffs on the supermarket window. No matter how much buyers look at it a lot, there shouldn't be any traces on the pan, from a bag with a measuring glass and spoons lying inside. Compared to the pan of my Dexa-50, the Orion pan looks just awful, it will peel off by one, two or three.
jaky
I bought this MB in the online store 5 days ago ... a normal pan. dark gray. without any scuffs and thick enough ... I have already made soup in it, steamed dumplings, I'm going to cook porridge today or tomorrow, while I like everything)))
Pingvinus
jaky, congratulations on your purchase!
You already tell us more about this cartoon, otherwise it looks like you are the first owner of the Orion multicooker on our forum.
I am very interested in the yogurt regimen, in principle, only because of it, and I want to buy a new cartoon (when I persuade my husband). And I stopped at Orion, I like it both in terms of cooking modes and in appearance.
And regarding the saucepan, Olyalya82 wrote that she did not like the quality, it seemed to me that the saucepan was the same as that of my Perfezza, but it has been working for me for 3 months and so far there are no complaints about the coating.
jaky
yes, so far there is nothing much to tell and there is nothing, she has not yet tried yogurt with me for 5 days (three of them decided what to cook for a test, and so I know that my cartoon is a copy of the Italian Lacuchina 47 and Maruchi 47, they are similar in appearance, I will share experience gradually as you master)
melrin
They gave me Orion for my birthday, too, for three days I cook nothing but coffee on the stove in the morning. Please share your tested recipes, otherwise I can't figure out the functions, I especially want to know which mode corresponds to the "Plov" function in Panasonic.

I especially want to know which mode corresponds to the "Pilaf" function in Panasonic.

According to the list of programs in the first post of this topic - this is SHORT.
jaky
maybe right and so, but I cooked pilaf on COOK for half a saucepan for 40 minutes
melrin
And yesterday I cooked a very tasty dinner in a multicooker
She poured dry noodles into a saucepan, poured hot, almost boiling water (so that it was level with the noodles), put a piece of butter. I put the sausages in a steaming basket on top. I switched on the "parboiled rice" mode and after 25 minutes they were already eating. I recommend it so delicious.
And here's the most interesting thing about such delicious sausages I have not eaten for a very long time, and we take almost always the same ones, for Children, from the firm "Myasnoy Ryad". They are not boiled (although they are steamed for 25 minutes), juicy and tasty.
The recipe may be very simple, but I'm just learning
jaky
yes, we also tried the sausages, sooo liked it. I also cooked borscht - ready-made frying - (I fried it separately, I know it can be done in a cartoon, but somehow everything is scary), potatoes, cabbage, lavrushechka, and for Soup for 1 hour (I immediately poured hot water), if a whole saucepan ... The borscht came out just superb ... at the end I threw another clove of chopped young garlic and some greens
Pingvinus
melrin, congratulations on your gift! A necessary thing in the household!
I think that it is better to cook pilaf on the main program, you seem to call it Cook (Simple cooking).
But Crust is an ambiguous mode, at least for Perfezz, which both externally and functionally are very similar to Orion. The Crust program can overcook the bottom of the pilaf.
I make porridge and pilaf (or rather rice with meat) in the main mode and everything turns out great.
And the recipes are suitable for almost everything (especially from Perfezz, Aurora, Marucci, LaCuchina and Dex).
In the first days, I also did not understand a little how to interpret the names of the modes of other multicooker applicable to my multicooker, and now I do not even look at the tips on the forums for cooking simple and familiar dishes.
Do not be afraid, the main thing is to understand the principle of the multicooker and everything will go like clockwork. Read this forum and you will figure it out, and if something is not clear, forum users will prompt.

P.S. I propose to rename this theme to "Multicooker Orion", otherwise it somehow falls out of the general list.
melrin
That's why I asked for pilaf, on the website I found a recipe for stewed potatoes in milk, and so in the pictures it is so beautiful, without gravy (I just don't like stewed potatoes), and it is cooked on the "Pilaf" mode and I thought that I can cook it on "stew", and so I organized everything in two tiers (I put chicken with tomatoes and cheese in a steaming basket). As a result, the chicken is tasty, but we didn't like the potatoes, then I read that in Panasonic the "Pilaf" mode is turned off when the liquid evaporates, and the extinguishing does not evaporate the water, now I am tormented by potatoes, I still want this
jaky
well then, really try Crust, this is the strongest mode, most likely it will evaporate all the water, but at the bottom, most likely the potatoes can fry
melrin
I will try, I will report the results, but you can ask me
By the way, today, according to the plan, the replacement in places, I want to put the chicken on the frying on the bottom, and put the potatoes in the steaming basket, do you think it will work out? And I want to put the frying mode for 20 minutes, then turn it over and again. And steamed potatoes. This is my thought. I would like to know your opinion, what can you advise?
jaky
okay, let's try it for you, but I don’t know - it’s like water is needed for a couple, but wouldn’t the potatoes be dry?

Perhaps, I shouldn't interfere, because I have no cooking experience in Orion, but I have been using Panas for more than 2 years. Based on the fact that the "pilaf" mode in Panas is an active boiling, then evaporation of the liquid and frying in the last cycle, then I would adapt the indicated recipe as follows: turn on the program on which we cook porridge (RIS), and then, to brown for minutes by 10 - BAKERY or SHORT (I don't know how they differ in Orion). Good luck!

Tyomina Alena quite correctly described the principle of operation of the Plov regime in Panasonic. In Orion (I looked at the sites - an exact copy of Kuchin, Marus, Perfezz, etc.) the power is higher, 860W, and Panasonic has 670W. Therefore, the result of the program may differ. In order not to reinvent the wheel, cook according to the principles of cooking in similar multicooker and you will succeed. Good luck.
melrin
Well I'm reporting
I prepared what I had in mind. Super
All my fears about dryish potatoes were in vain. And I cooked like this:
Cut 2 legs into 2 pieces (4 pieces), sprinkle with curry, grill seasoning and marinate in mayonnaise. At this time, she peeled the potatoes and cut them into strong pieces. I switched on the MV to the "frying meat" mode, poured vegetable oil on the bottom, put the chicken. Sprinkle the potatoes with dried garlic and salt, put them in a steaming basket and put them on top. The frying mode turned on for 30 minutes, after 15 minutes she turned the meat over. When I heard a pleasant squeak from my assistant about the end of work, I came and took off the basket of potatoes, checked the meat, it’s ready, the potatoes are also ready and tasty.
Right now this dish is heated and we are waiting for our beloved from work together. She will come and have supper. ...
In general, every day I fall more and more in love with my slow cooker.
jaky
I will definitely try this too, but the meat did not stick to the bottom (I have not tried to fry it yet), otherwise someone complained on another site
melrin
the chicken stuck, so it sticks in the frying pan, by the way, I had it then for another 1-49 on the heating, waiting for its half. So in the evening when we had dinner, the darling said that it was very tasty, just super. Said still get ready

In "Aurora" the "Cooking" mode is similar to the "Pilaf" mode in Panas. This is the mode, which is approximate, depending on the amount of liquid and product. Countdown starts. Works approximately 1 hour. Apparently, you have this juice regime. My experiments with "Crust" always went well. Nothing burned.
melrin
By the way, I downloaded the detailed instructions for the Lacucina EB-FC47 Multicooker on the site, and so there all the modes are scheduled right in time and I see that they are almost twins with Orion, just not big differences. I downloaded it, printed it out, I'll study it at home. and carry out their experiments further.
Luybasha
melrin And can I also have instructions pliz? I’m leaving with the kids to the village for health improvement and taking the cartoon Orion with me, so this instruction would be useful to me! There is no Internet and no computer, it will be difficult and boring without you!
jaky
Here I am sharing another experiment - potatoes with fish
4 large potatoes, cut into medium-sized pieces, a bit of sunflower oil on the bottom of the multicooker, put the potatoes on the bottom, salted the fish in small pieces, peppered the potatoes on top, then one tomato-thin rings, and on top either mayonnaise or sour cream, and I tried - garlic sauce Torchin - about 150 grams, and everything is for COOK, 35 minutes was enough for me, some more greens at the end and that's it, yum-yum, we really liked it .... potatoes and a little stuck, but half an hour of soaking and everything was perfectly washed)
melrin
And I cooked buckwheat with meat on the "Crust" mode. At the bottom there is not a lot of vegetable oil, meat cut into pieces, 1 tbsp. buckwheat multicooker, 2 tbsp. water, salt. I switched on the crust mode and after 1 hour 30 minutes it was a funky dish, buckwheat was even slightly fried. I took the recipe from the site
jaky and I will definitely try potatoes with fish, thanks, especially since I cook a similar one in the oven, by the way, what kind of fish did you take, if you take hake, will it not be dry?
jaky
the fish was pelengas, but I think with mayonnaise sauce and the hake will be soaked normally
SeredaG
Hello everybody! Tell me please, has anyone tried to make yogurt in Orion? Share your experience, otherwise I'm considering a purchase option or Orion or (if something is wrong with yogurt) Dex 50
melrin
I have not cooked, I have a DEX yogurt maker in it and I cook. For some reason it seems to me that the yogurt maker should be separate. What if I put on yogurt and want to cook some soup?
By the way, yesterday I cooked buckwheat soup in MV. Fried 2 sausages and grated carrots, put potatoes, buckwheat, salt, bay leaf. All this was poured with boiling water and put on soup mode. At the end, I threw in finely chopped greens.
SeredaG
Yoghurt is set for 5-6 hours at least? Probably you can put it on at night, and empty the saucepan in the morning. In Temka about Aurora, who also makes yoghurts, you also worried that there would be nothing to cook the soup in. I just want to know if Orion is overheating yogurt?
melrin
I read in the instructions for Lakuchin that the temperature heats up to 38 degrees. And since Orion and Lukachina are almost twins, then I think that the mode is set in the same way.

The yoghurt takes about 8 hours to prepare for the Aurora. Can be put in jars right away to remove and not overflow. Just pour water into a saucepan. The temperature in the "Aurora" is 4o degrees (at least in mine)

thanks for answers

In Odessa, Orion can already be bought in some online stores for 478 UAH, and in Foxtrot it is exhibited for 699 UAH, Dex on the Internet - 650 UAH, in the Metro store almost 900 UAH! Therefore, if you buy Orion out of savings, it is only because this wonderful multicooker also prepares yogurt. Share your impressions, otherwise I'm almost on the verge of buying
melrin
I support you, you won't regret it, firstly everything turns out to be very tasty, secondly, more free time, and thirdly, she is so beautiful.
P.s. nothing that I'm on you? and me preferably on you !!!
jaky
I bought it in an online store for 529 UAH, a month ago ... I haven't cooked yogurt yet, and I haven't baked it yet, but I try all the rest - the first and second courses slowly, everything comes out very tasty and just conveniently - I laid the food, pressed and done .... I am very satisfied and I think that the money was well spent
Agata21
And what is there to think ?! In any case, buying another multi is ripe. Tandem Dex and Orion or Aurora is just that! But Dex is a must !!
Luybasha
Agata21 Well, I would not say that Dex is a must! So you can say this about any Cartoon.I have the first Perfezka 55, very good, but the second Multiu took what was at hand, so to speak, for a reasonable price in our city, it turned out to be Orion, which is nothing at all, a lot of functions compared to Perfezka 55. Of course, I'd rather buy b 57 Perfezku well, for the price that Comfi offers, this is too much, but in the internet they disappeared. But I am very happy with the purchase like an elephant.
melrin
Luybasha , I completely agree, just everyone loves their slow cooker very much and believes that it is the best.
So I think we each have our own (and more than one) the best and best favorite multicooker.
And to argue which is better ..... this is probably pointless
Agata21
We all love our cartoons! As for Dex, I proceed from the assumption that perfumes, Orion, Aurora are almost the same, and Dex is out of their line. I do not detract from the merits of other multicooker in the least. I love all of my 3 saucepans. It's just that they complement each other in terms of modes. Well, for example, whites in Dex are fried for 3-4 minutes on each side, and in Aurora for 7-8 minutes. On the other hand, I really like the soup mode in Aurora. And yet, in Dex, the quality of the saucepan is more reliable. I also remembered about the regimes. I cooked mackerel in Dex on languishing for 5 hours - everything is fine, but I tried foolishly (it was too lazy to shift the porridge and wash the pan) in Aurora on stewing - it began to burn in 2 hours.
melrin
I looked at the technical characteristics of Dex, of course, he will quickly fry his own power of 980 W against Orion's 870 W, and if you consider that in Panasonic 670 W ... Yes, you probably need to have more than one multicooker, but everything has its time ... we will stream to perfection
ang-kay

I don't know ... I stewed herring for 7 hours, according to the recipe from our website, nothing burnt, there is not even a hint of it. Maybe they warm us in a different way? Can the same be? Today I stewed the meat in its own juice on this mode for 4 hours, so it was a little bit in one place, but not critical. And I think that at the very beginning of the program, because I did not add anything at all.
melrin
ang-kay, and when stewed herring, did not stink too much? otherwise I would have done it, but I'm afraid that because of the "wonderful" aromas everyone will run away from the apartment, and how then did the saucepan wash, in the sense of smell?

I didn't like her at all. Only my parents liked it. They got used to the smell while stewing. But it didn't smell much, because there were spices. The aftertaste is awful. But if you love? The bones are very soft, like canned food. The choice is yours.
Luybasha
I think if you take a fish for stewing, it's mackerel, even somewhere the recipe was with her on this forum. It's not for nothing that they cook canned food with mackerel, I have not seen with herring. Maybe it's the herring itself?
I made a stew for 5 hours, did not throw anything at the beginning, except for meat of course. The stew turned out to be just a bomb. And most importantly, nothing stuck to the saucepan. And the main thing is that it's simple.

In the days of the USSR, I once came across canned food "Iwashi piquant". It was something. Delicious, no specific smell. She was crushed in a moment. Mackerel is also not for everybody, but it will definitely be better with it.
melrin
Luybasha, you know, we have the most fishy one at home, it's me, and I'm looking at canned mackerel, but I think I'll make up my mind soon. And the recipe is with a sled, here it is https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=65027.0
Stew is cool, well done. But I've only been using the multicooker for the second week, so I think that everything is ahead of me.
To be honest, I don’t dare to put on a timer, it’s just the fact that I will clean everything, cut it, go to work, and it will not disappear, in general, while I mentally set myself up to use the timer, because initially it was me this function won me over, because when you come home from work the thought is one "what to eat", and then everything else.

the main thing on my timer is, of course, milk porridge for breakfast.
so that the milk does not sour overnight, I put it frozen in the multicooker. maybe you can do that too - freeze half of the products, then put them in a cartoon, and therefore feel free to go to work.

I generally can't imagine my life without cooking on the timer ...
