Lean cabbage soup with salmon in a slow cooker

Ingredients

Salmon fish soup set 1 kg
Cabbage 300 g
Potatoes 300 g
Tomato paste 3 tbsp. l.
Water 4 liters
Bulb onions 1 head
Bay leaf
Salt
Pepper

Cooking method

  • My husband and I were treated to these cabbage soup at the monastery in Vinnovka (Samara region, Samarskaya Luka).
  • In this recipe, a set for salmon fish soup. In Samara, you can buy it for 55 rubles / kg. A good steak will do if you can.
  • Preparing this dish is amazingly simple:
  • Chop the cabbage, chop the potatoes and onions as you like. Put fish, vegetables, bay leaves, salt, pepper in a slow cooker, cover with cold water. That's all)))) Turn on the Extinguishing mode for 1 hour and go about your business. At the end of cooking (if you had a fish soup kit), remove the fish, separate the meat from the bones, and return the fish pieces to the soup. In my opinion, even a steak is tastier to cut into small pieces. When there is a fish in every spoon, it's just delicious !!!
  • The proportions of the products can be changed as desired. These proportions give a fairly liquid cabbage soup. I really like the broth. If someone likes thick cabbage soup, add more fish and vegetables. Or pour less water))))
  • Bon Appetit!

And yesterday I found a sturgeon head in the freezer (I was lying with NG) and was puzzled what to cook delicious and unusual from it. I climbed on the Internet and half of the recipes came out with cabbage soup from the head of the sturgeon and sauerkraut.

Rinse the sturgeon head thoroughly, remove the gills, chop into pieces, put in a saucepan, cover with water and cook for 1-1.5 hours. I cooked on gas, since my head was healthy, for a saucepan a cartoonish one. Strain the broth, remove the meat from the seeds and put back in the broth.
First, I fried onions in a multicooker saucepan. Rinse sauerkraut, squeeze, put in a saucepan. Add the peeled and diced potatoes, pour over the broth with the pieces of the disassembled head. I chopped the carrots finely in a chopper and put them raw and cook the cabbage soup on the stew mode for 1.5 hours.
At the end of cooking for 10 minutes add bay leaf and nutmeg (on the tip of a knife), pepper and salt to taste.
Try this delicious and unusual cabbage soup.

I'm sitting at home with a cold, I don't want to cook at all. Salmon trimming in the refrigerator and I want something hot without frying. As soon as I found your recipe, I left everything in the cartoon, though I added more carrots, I cut everything into cubes for beauty. Everything is fast, simple and useful! The cabbage soup turned out to be fragrant and delicate in taste just for my condition! Thank you for the recipe, it is doubly pleasant that it is a monastery!

is it a fish soup with or without tomato paste?
or did you forget to write at what point it is added?

Maybe put it together with vegetables, since there is no frying, will it "disperse" during cooking? Or dilute in some water.

and in the photo of the finished fish soup, it is not clear that there is a volume. pasta?

They are slightly orange, considering that there are no carrots, it seems to me that there is not much pasta. But, if in doubt, you can probably cook without it. Well, if the author answered, the recipe is wonderful.

But what to do with tomato paste is not indicated in the recipe when to add it.If immediately, then the potatoes will become hard, "froze" and cook it for at least 2-3 hours will not become softer. Apparently it should be added when the potatoes are ready. I love fish soups with salmon, of course the broth itself is more pleasant for trout. It turns out so delicious if you also chop fresh dill at the end of cooking.

The author has not been on the forum since 2014, so it’s useless to wait for an answer. For me, soup soup with fish cannot be combined with tomato paste, at best I can cut a fresh tomato somewhere in the end, and then why not, it is needed there ... if only for beauty, because the fish broth does not need any decorations at all.

Ilmirushka, you correctly say I also do not accept such fish soup (not soup). Once I had a chance to try fish soup from a friend, which was cooked by her grandmother. To be honest, I didn't really like them. Although it was a very, very long time ago, I remembered their taste for a long time. I cook soups with different fish, even from canned sprat in a canned tomato.

velli, in a slow cooker, potatoes do not coarse and do not stiffen, because you can safely put everything together.

IrinaIf so, then you can try it once. But in the photo, the cabbage soup themselves are pale, although according to the recipe it is already 3 st. l. Strange!

Irina, I do not have a simple multicooker, I cook in a pressure cooker, and I judge only by its result. I tried to cook in all sorts of ways. And all the same, if the potatoes are started together with sauerkraut, for example, then the potatoes will no longer boil as it should, they will not be raw, half-baked, that is, the potatoes will not be boiled, but they will not become crumbly, as if cooked without cabbage, I mean only sauerkraut. That is, even in a pressure cooker, cabbage makes the potatoes a little rougher. I tried the same version with tomato paste, that is, according to the principle of "load everything at once" - the result is the same as with sauerkraut, its acids, just like tomato acids, do not allow potatoes to boil down to the desired, soft, tasty consistency. Therefore, in my cabbage soup and borscht, sauerkraut goes after the potatoes are ready, and the tomato goes last.
