Black rice "Dessert"

Ingredients

Parboiled black rice 1 measuring cup
Water 3 measuring cups
Salt taste
For refueling:
Butter (ghee) 1 tbsp. l.
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l.
Sour apple 1 large
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Cranberries (cherries), dried a handful of
Garlic 1 clove
Salt taste
Freshly ground pepper pinch

Cooking method

  • Cooking rice in multicooker Panasonic, "Buckwheat" mode

  • We make a refueling: melt butter in a frying pan, add garlic, chunks of onion - fry lightly.

  • Add apples in pieces, cranberries (pre-soak and squeeze out of water), salt, pepper - fry for a short time so that the apples do not boil.

  • Add ready-made rice, mix everything, heat in a pan so that all the products become friends with each other.

  • Black rice "Dessert"

Note

You can serve such rice for breakfast - it is very good, tasty, satisfying and not hard!

Can be used as a side dish for meat and other dishes.

I bought black rice a long time ago, grabbed it without thinking what I would do with it next. However, I always buy this way if I see a new and unusual product for myself. And then I figure out how to cook "this miracle" and what to do with it next. And then suddenly black rice flashed in a magazine, but there, as always, with intricacies, and it is not entirely clear what will turn out in the end, and I screwed up the first portion of rice.

I do not recommend soaking black rice in water beforehand, and cooking rice along with vegetables (onions, carrots, etc.) and fruits.

Now I know how to cook black rice!
