It would be interesting to know what is a necessary kitchen tool for respected members of the forum. Maybe we can learn something useful, but we didn’t think about it before.

For example, from our experience, we have developed the following ratio:
Useful technique Useless technique
Bread makerCombine harvester
BlenderPressure cooker
MicrowaveJuicer
RefrigeratorCoffee grinder

This is from personal experience of use. But we will never buy, for example, a deep fryer, a toaster and a rice cooker .. But we think about a double boiler and a yoghurt maker
Tan-yana
And besides what can be divided into useful and useless, it can also be said that are harmful to health. To these, in particular, I include a deep fryer. I agree that French fries are delicious, but in terms of health ... The same can be said about coffee. It often happens: not everything is tasty and healthy and vice versa. But we live by the principle: as long as health allows, why should we deny ourselves. And with regard to the list, so we have this:
Useful technique Useless technique
Bread Maker Microwave
Mixer + Blender Harvester
Steamer Pressure Cooker
Coffee Grinder Deep Fryer
Coffee maker
Water filter
Electric meat grinder

Recently, I have included a pancake maker among useful things. Bread maker, mixer + blender - no explanation required. Steamer - I, for example, like the vinaigrette more when the vegetables are steamed, and you can remember the preservation of nutrients. A coffee grinder and a coffee maker is an amateur business. Email kettle - we are all so used to it that we cannot imagine how we did without it. A water filter is not really a technique, but still. Our water is really rubbish and filtration does not interfere with it. Electric meat grinder - the husband is resting. Plus, today's ones are not like the former ones .. Minced meat is obtained as through an ordinary meat grinder, and not a paste mass. We've already played enough of the microwave. Stood, only for warming up, took a place. Now I have all these functions in the stove. Plus I bought 2 frying pans from BIALETTI and there was no need for a microwave oven. They gave it to their daughter. She, too, is idle more without use. Harvester Pressure cooker. Hmm. Was, once at my mother. A curiosity in my time. I somehow did not take root, although it stands somewhere on the mezzanine. Fryer - I have already said about it. Please note that this is my personal opinion, which I do not impose on anyone. After all, how many people, so many opinions. For this we communicate.
Tan-yana
I didn't say anything about the harvester at all, because I have no personal experience. I know about him from my friends. No one has found the proper use for it. Maybe they just didn't get what they deserved. As a rule, no one bought it, but it was presented for some kind of celebration. Now it is gathering dust with nothing to do. For some, it stands in the kitchen for beauty, if space permits, and for some it is completely removed from the eyes. I will not speak badly, since it is not correct to speak about a thing without having it and not using it. I just don't want to buy it. The presence of a mixer, blender, electric meat grinder suits me perfectly. Each thing does not take up much space, is used if necessary, and so for the slightest, you will have to get this colossus. … Well, I do not know. Do you have a version in defense of the combine?

Of useful

bread maker
harvester + meat grinder (2 in 1) The meat grinder is understandable. Harvester - I mainly use a grater, sometimes a shaker for cocktails.
mixer + chopper (2 in 1)
microwave
refrigerator (not even questionable)

From unnecessary, I gave Panasonic a blender / mixer / shaker, when a chopper appeared in a set with a mixer, since I used only it.

I'm thinking about a juicer, a double boiler and a yogurt maker ... But everything depends on the place in the kitchen ... I have not convinced myself of expediency yet ...

Useful

refrigerator
meat grinder (electro) I also have a set of graters in mine, very convenient.
Electric kettle
bread maker (since yesterday dear and beloved thing)
Microwave. The thing is wonderful and certainly useful. in addition to warming up, I cook baked apples, delicious, tender and fast. Cutlets - fat-free dietary, beets and other vegetables for vinaigrette and other salads. Conservation, again, is simple and convenient. and many other things.
Combine harvester I use a mixer, make meat pates (what is called a meat grinder in my food processor is only capable of pies, a shredder (it is convenient when I cook a lot, but I don't often use it).
Coffee grinder
instead of coffee that we don't use, we grind nuts, seeds and stuff like that.
Juicer. an irreplaceable thing.

Useless

Deep fryer. Not a bad thing, of course, but bad for the liver. We rarely use it, we don’t mind the money for it, but we could not have spent it.
Harvester. falls into both categories, because half of the functions are not used or the result is not satisfactory.

I want to buy a yoghurt maker from the necessary things.
Look like that's it.

For our family

Useful:

Dishwasher (the most needed thing).
Microwave (warm up only).
Bread maker (well, there is nothing to say, and so everything is clear).
Blender + chopper (I just don't clear the table, I use it almost every day).
Coffee maker (we adore boiled coffee, but we don't drink instant coffee at all).
Juicer (a necessary thing, we try to use it more often).
Rosterhe is sandwich maker (we love hot cheese and ham sandwiches).
Electric kettle (sometimes knocks out plugs, there is not enough evil, but where to go?).
Electronic balance (I don’t know how I did without them before).

Unhelpful:

Combine (as you remember how much to get and collect it, you just want to forget about it).
Deep fryer (they gave it to us, so we have never tried it, we are afraid for the internal organs).
Toaster (we have a roster).
cantara
It turned out to be HELPFUL for me:
1. Bakery (no comments)
2. Multicooker (Panasonic TMB 18): cooks cereals and cereals, moonlights with a double boiler, makes pilaf, stews and bakes (does not knead the dough, so this is part of the bread machine)
3. Kenwood Chef kitchen machine (meat grinder, blender, juicer, three nozzles for dough, but in the light of the appearance of a bread machine, they are not needed, in the future I plan to buy a nozzle-mill for cereals)
4. Coffee maker and electric kettle
I have nothing else, and there is nowhere to put it. In total, there are three large units in the kitchen and two smaller ones, which greatly facilitated and diversified life, one had only to understand them in more detail!
Bulochka
I have useful ones (on a 5-point scale):
Combine + + + + +
Breadmaker + + + + +
Refrigerator + + + + +
Kettle + + + + +
Juicer + + + +
Microwave + + + +
I'm thinking about buying a new stove (the old one has no functions), a yogurt maker and a double boiler. But again, the whole question is about placement, because you want everything to be at hand. If I shove it away, I’ll think I’ve forgotten, I will not use it.

Anastasia
And for me, all the devices that I have turned out to be useful:
Bread maker
Pressure cooker-Helps to cope with any meat, even very tough. In it I cook meat for soups and carcass meat for goulash - quickly and without thinking, it will work out, it will not work, but vitamins are more or less preserved. Less electricity is consumed than if you simmer meat in a saucepan ad infinitum.
Dishwasher-and the largest size 60x60cm-saves energy and water if you pay for water by the meter
Combine harvester-It is not difficult for me to assemble and disassemble it, but the results of whipping dough for pancakes, chopping and mixing minced meat for cutlets, cutting and shredding vegetables for various purposes, whipping a cocktail in a blender attachment and much more are of excellent quality, and will wash everything after use dishwasher
Electric mill-always at hand when you need to chop something really fine, but there is not enough work for the combine (onion for soup, filling for one pizza, minced meat for a small number of meatballs for soup, etc.)
Grill-kebab maker from Tefal- multifunctional device - there is a grill and a deep saucepan in which you can cook and pilaf other dishes.
Microwave- I bought specially with as many f-tions as possible and a special crisp frying pan - as a result, I can bake a very tasty charlotte in it in automatic mode, fry the wings for beer - they are so crispy - I don't get them in the oven, I cook in special steamer for microwave vegetables for salads and steamed rice, defrost food on the machine and very quickly, sterilize jars, when you need to preserve something, and she also knows how to do a lot of useful things.
Egg cooker- boils eggs exactly as you ask according to the program (in a steep, crumpled, in a bag) and you do not need to watch and count the time, it will give a signal itself.
Slicer- professionally cut sandwiches for my husband to work
Well, and a bunch of all kinds of kitchen pleasant little things that make life easier, I have and I use all this with pleasure.
I have already definitely decided what I will not buy - this is a deep fryer, I only trust my grandmother's old pancake-pancake maker, I don’t like a coffee machine, in principle.

I have the most useful kitchen utensils, this is of course a refrigerator (old and already small for our family, I want a new and big one, but the problem with the place, this does not fit anywhere), a bread maker - we eat bread every day, a microwave (I have the simplest: 2 pens) - we constantly heat it up in it, a thermopot is instead of a kettle, although there is a kettle, but we use it only when it is urgent to boil water, of course, too, but I have an old one, an electric meat grinder, kitchen scales (electronic). Sometimes I use a food processor, but rarely (I also have it prehistoric, made in the USSR), an electric waffle iron - sometimes I want waffles, a mixer. I rarely use a citrus juicer (that's why I bought the cheapest one). I used to use it all the time, but I gave up the airfryer a long time ago. The thing is certainly good, it cooks deliciously, but it's very huge. Wash must be dragged into the bathroom, it does not fit into the sink. And you can't wash the cover at all, the motor is there. Yes, and the pen flew, and in general from old age the plastic has already burst (oh, those Chinese). Yes ... We need to get it, make a chicken. And I never use a juicer (I've forgotten what it looks like). Even in summer, fruits cost so much, you can't even approach apples, let alone squeeze juice or gnaw a toad strangles. Apples are still not an overseas fruit and, in my opinion, their price is a penny.
Oh, I forgot about my favorite yogurt maker - I use it all the time. She is one of the first to appear (Tefal, no timer).

But everything that is "useless" is just waiting in the wings! Let it be rare, but it will be useful! And it's nice.
Mystery
I read the topic and was surprised how much unnecessary technology people have, they are completely lazy .. IMHO.

I will not even list such equipment as a stove and refrigerator, because I do not understand how it is possible without this in the kitchen. If we talk about other kitchen equipment, then in my kitchen the following are useful:
+ harvester + meat grinder
+ juicer
+ microwave
+ blender
useless things, definitely:
- egg cooker (a masterpiece of useless acquisition, IMHO)
- deep fryer
- coffee maker (we don't like coffee)
- sandwich maker, etc.

I'm just thinking of buying a bread maker, but probably it will be on the first list
There is also a list of everyday life. A teznik that can be useful, but is not very necessary, this includes a steamer, an electric kettle, a yogurt maker, a scale.
Ludmila
I have a lot of equipment, and I even think that not all I need. But I have used all the units several times and I expect to use them in the future. To such "not so necessary" I would bring my juicer, electric pancake maker, coffee maker. But sooo necessary: microwave oven, combiner, chopper, double boiler, bread maker, scales.
I also "caught fire" to buy a slow cooker, deep fryer, chocolate maker, Tefal grill. Maybe they are not very necessary either, but you can't convince the "Wishlist" ...
fugaska
the slow cooker is certainly sooooo necessary, 100%!
but the rest of the list is for "Wishlist"
I've bought myself a chocolate maker in the spring, and now I'm on a diet, because I sat down on chocolate (after purchasing a chocolate maker) within unreasonable limits!
Artyom
I have a food processor - I only use a mixer and a chopper (vegetable cutter); juicer - used for a couple of months and has been on the shelf for a year; multicooker - almost every day, before there was an ordinary steamer, gave it as a present, because the multicooker is much more functional; electric BBQ grill - I rarely use it, but I'm happy with the unit; I had a sandwich maker (of Russian production), I used it a couple of times and handed it over under warranty, turned out to be defective, but I will buy some foreign one, because the device is not bad in general. I look closely at the microwave, but sorry for the place in the kitchen.
Irinalein
Can I do my bit too?

Technique happens:

Useful: Useless:
Combine (consisting of a blender, mixer, Airfryer
grinders, juicers) Grill Oven
Bread maker
Electric kettle
Libra
Electric stove
Microwave
Small mixer

So, in order:
1) A year ago, my beloved chef gave me a Philips 7768 food processor for my wedding, and for a year now I have never stopped admiring it. I forgot what it is to shred cabbage by hand, turn the handle of a meat grinder. There are a lot of apples in the country, we constantly make juice. We also make milkshakes in it. I don't even remove it from the table. A very handy thing
2) Well, with the bread maker, I think everything is clear. It was presented to me only three weeks ago, so naturally I use it very actively.
3) With a teapot, everything is also clear. I remember how before it appeared I had to wait half an hour until it boils
4) I already have two scales: floor-mounted Tefal, which I get on every morning (my husband is always tensely waiting for the numbers to appear) and a small scale of 500 g, on which I weigh flour, etc. Quite cheap (about 130 rubles), but they work wonderful
5) Electric stove - it is an electric stove. You can't get away from her.
6) I rarely use a microwave oven (for example, to defrost or reheat something)
7) I use a small mixer a lot. In the morning I make an omelet, quickly whisk the eggs in a glass with one whisk. Very convenient and you don't need to wash the harvester

Useless equipment in our house includes a wonderful grill stove (we got it "by inheritance", never used it) and an aerogrill (we use it in the country, when we don’t want to bother with coals for shashlik)

I'm thinking about buying a cartoon ...
Irinalein
ABOUT! By the way! After all, I also have a slicer! Like Bosch.

I completely forgot! We tried to cut something in it a couple of times, but thought it was easier to wash the board and the knife ...

So it has been gathering dust in the closet at the dacha for 1.5 years now.
Ghost
Good day! I also decided to check in on this forum! recently bought a bread maker for the family and are very pleased with the purchase!
I'll start on the topic, of the necessary / necessary things, I would note:
- Microwave (some say it is useless, someone says it is convenient, I would agree with both, depending on which microwave, if from simple and small ones, then yes, such are useless and are only suitable for heating ... we already have more 8 years old, large, 32 liters and a power of 1500 watts, with convection and grill, it is not only heated quickly, but everything is prepared quickly, for example, a large bowl of soup heats up for 2-2.5 minutes, at work a simple microwave for 800 watt, it heats something like this for 5-6 minutes, the same difference in time and in cooking, and given the large volume, we can cook small portions of soups in glassware for microwave ovens, and even cook cereals, and much more. mostly complain about those (even heard from friends) who have it of small volume and low power, it will defrost badly, welding meat from the edges for a long time and heating for a long time, and cooking ... and the meaning of such a microwave, even when heated not great .... This is my personal opinion, it can disagree with the public
- A kettle is also a very useful thing, but here you also need to take into account what kind of stove is in the house, if it is gas, then even a kettle and microwave will not be in great demand for heating, because.on gas, too, everything heats up quickly, for those who have electric stoves - both the kettle and the microwave, I think, are irreplaceable.
- Refrigerator
- Naturally, a bread maker
- A mixer is often useful.
Further, there are less necessary things, but they are also often used:
- Electric meat grinder (from the set of the old combine, from which it is still used for juicing for citrus fruits)
After purchasing a bread machine, I also thought about a multicooker. There is no universal juicer at home yet, but I think about simple Bosches, Philips, Panasonic (for example, MJ-W171PR), Kenwoods or Borks - I don't want to take it, because it will turn out like with a low-power microwave, it will be like a fact of having a thing, but work she will not perform hers exactly as I would like, so I look at:
🔗
or 🔗
Our family loves yoghurts, but I don’t think a yogurt maker is a very necessary and useful thing.
To completely useless, I would classify a deep fryer, toaster, roaster, pancake maker, egg cooker, slicer ...
Probably all ... I missed a lot. I ask you not to kick and throw stones at me.This is my, purely personal opinion, as I already said, it may differ from those present
Str @ kovsk @ ya
And why do we need unnecessary equipment?

We have everything you need: a refrigerator, a freezer, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, a food processor (it contains a blender, a meat grinder, a juicer, a mixer and a mill), a grill sandwich maker, a pizza oven, a chocolate maker, now a bread maker, more I will buy a double boiler, a fruit dryer, a yogut maker and a dishwasher and there will be no limit to my happiness)))

Well, that's about the kitchen)))
Mams
And in my opinion there is no unnecessary equipment in the kitchen.
There is often used, there is rarely. But superfluous - definitely does not happen.
For me, the often used:

Microwave - I have Panasonic NN-2003, (42 l, convection, grill) - almost completely replaced the oven (rarely, rarely needed when I bake a large charlotte or bake meat for guests). In the microwave I do many, many things, from cooking rice to barbecue on the grill and chicken on convection. Fry cutlets and cheesecakes in a pan first, then bring them in the microwave for 4-5 minutes. And less oil, and does not burn. Melt the butter, heat the milk, etc. Boil the vegetables for the salad. Honestly, I don't understand how they used to do without her.
Carob coffee maker + good coffee grinder - well, we love coffee.
The kitchen harvester - we now have Bosch - is a very convenient thing, it replaces individual meat grinder, blender, etc. We bought it after Kenwood (he lived with us for 8 years), so it’s quite a deliberate purchase. There is also a small Philips - on the table it is when you need to chop a little meat or vegetables.
Multicooker - I've been using it for the second month - I'm not overjoyed, it's a very useful device. For me, I also replaced the steamer, I cook dumplings in it in the morning, it's delicious and you don't need to follow.
Toaster... children love toasted bread, mainly on weekends.
Bread maker... no comment - we have been eating our own bread for many years.
Deep fryer - my husband bought himself for his birthday. For guests - a wonderful side dish, for yourself - chicken wings, potatoes, squid, etc. Not every day, but sometimes when you want. Fill in oil, and use it several times, wash it, remove it until the next "I want".
Refrigerator, el. teapot - no questions asked, we have e-mail. stove - you can't wait for the water to boil.
There is also two waffle irons - for nuts and for ordinary waffles - we use it from time to time.
Yet freezer - just bought it, haven't really tried it yet, but I already liked one recipe.
And I don't have unnecessary equipment ... All that is either used constantly, or less often, but is used. I love different techniques

Hello, I really like the site, but I also agree that there is no unnecessary equipment, for example, a dishwasher, I thought that my husband was buying in vain, but now I’m not overjoyed and I don’t wash the dishes and there’s more time left, you put the children to bed and she washes and dries herself. and washes glasses so much that I would never wash them by hand

but I think that there is unnecessary equipment

And your example only says that you had a poor idea of why you need a dishwasher.
I have unnecessary equipment - a lot, I give it, if possible, to those who have it.
For me personally, a coffee maker, a deep fryer, a mini-oven have become absolutely unnecessary. I don't use them at all.
elena1812
Each of us at a certain age undergoes a reassessment, so it seems to us that this technique is not needed, although at one time they bought it means they needed it, this is my personal opinion, and any technique is only helpers, at least once a month is necessary.

Oh thanks! And where to look for such a thing? In shops with household appliances, it is unlikely, it seems to me ... maybe there are all sorts of little things in the kitchen?
In Moscow, I just bought a small microwave steamer in an ordinary household. store, and a large one, just in a store with household appliances that sells microwave ovens. I also saw them in M-video and in Eldorado.

two days ago my husband unexpectedly gave me a home rechargeable vacuum cleaner. It turned out to be a convenient thing.
I gave myself the same one. Have you already used it? It seemed to me that its power is VERY small, and the battery is enough for a little. But maybe I just charged a little? Share how you
Willow
But about the technology ... I have bought in the last two or three months as much as I never thought to have in my whole life. Exclusively after reading the forum. I just looked at the cooking with different eyes.
Convection oven Despite the very different opinions, and the fact that he really has features - I give him 5. The rolls bake faster and tastier than the oven. A friend laughs when I say this, but I do it. Shish kebabs, mashliks and all sorts of chickens - everyone knows about it. Cutlets there ... In general, I put a penny.
Multicooker I put 10. I have to cook for 20 children. Can you imagine how much time, effort and other things it saves me? My son only slaps potatoes from there. Pea mash. And the fact that he fell asleep with food and sleep well is generally fantastic!
Bread maker Her penny! I have three, because I do not have time to bake every day. Once or twice a week - yes. And the children are happy, they eat all sorts of exotic breads such as corn. I have a stove without a delayed timer, and this makes life difficult for me. I can't sit and wait for three hours until the middle of the night while the bread is baked.
Chocolate girl The device is good. Again, the son drinks hot chocolate once a week (so that life does not seem particularly sweet). Appliance 5.
Coffee maker I have a simple, drip. I don't eat too much coffee, but willingly drink three times a week with my colleagues. Our needs are met - 5.
Thermopot Generally a thing! Five. I'm so used to it. When it is necessary (and it is necessary often, I love tea, and I also need boiling water in cooking), hot water is always at hand. In principle, I do not boil water again. When I used the kettle, I constantly poured and poured water. and now no
Juicer Here is an entom device 3 with a minus. But only because the cheapest Elenberg was bought. He does not wring out normally. And then at first I was happy, like a savage beads, until I realized that the money was down the drain. But I have a citrus squeezer in my old combine, this is a class.
Yoghurt maker I bought this one a lot earlier. Perhaps, I don’t need it. I would have done it. I played and abandoned it, because my son did not like these yoghurts. But, on the other hand, maybe the hunt will come ...
Kitchen Scales Needed! Again, I have the cheapest, but I have enough.
Double boiler I have been using it for 4 years. I was always happy. He makes great cereals, stews cabbage. Steam cutlets. The volume is small, but I use it.
Microwave Also not new, the capacity is small. I must say that as a cooking technique, I have not mastered it. Porridge-soups run away, I completely overcook everything. And all the time doubts gnaw at whether it is harmful. Terrible invisible rays that penetrate us through and through!
That's all.
Dusya Myshkina
I also use a microwave oven for heating, and every day I cook buckwheat or rice there for my dogs. But there everything is measured down to the smallest detail - how much cereal, how much water, for what power and time.
And for a family, porridge or something else - only in a slow cooker.
When the potatoes are young, I make them in a uniform with lard in a microwave oven - a favorite dish for guests.
Of course, the multicooker is a champion in the kitchen! I use it almost all the time, I love cooking in it!
In second place is the bread maker.
I bake pies and buns, knead the dough in it.
Bread, of course, homemade love it! I have always loved the stove, but especially now.
Then the Meridian induction cooker probably comes. Over-the-counter cooking - boil something quick, or fry it instantly - now everything is on it.
Cooks faster than a gas hob. A timer and 7 power levels, a thermostat with a set temperature from 80 to 220 degrees for ridiculous money.
Then comes the thermal sweat. Conveniently without comment.
My dishwasher is old, I want to change it already. It seems to me that he washes worse than I do with his hands. I read that everyone is happy with this thing, and I think that mine has already worked out its resource and needs to be updated.
I don't use a deep fryer or a coffee maker, although I like brewed coffee, there is a yogurt maker and a crepe maker lying around.
Before purchasing a multicooker, I often cooked in a double boiler.
Now she has removed it. Washing its grates is a whole business. The cartoon is more convenient.
A very large part of the functions of the oven also shifted to the multicooker. In the cartoon I bake biscuits, casseroles, etc.
In the oven (I have a Bosch with convenient baking sheets that roll out with the door) I bake a bird in foil for the holidays and bake pies with buns.
There is also a Daewoo pizza maker, in which I dry croutons :).
In general, thanks to the forum, this year I bought a bunch of bells and whistles for the kitchen and made my family happy.

LaraN
There are not very many appliances in my kitchen. Useful: a coffee maker and a coffee grinder - because I really love coffee, I brew a cup of aromatic drink every morning.
Blender (!!!). What would I do without him, preparing food for my little daughter (making mashed potatoes). I also make cocktails, chop vegetables, onions for other dishes.
And of course a double boiler - all vegetables, fish, cutlets for my daughter.
Of course the bread maker - all the bread, cakes, dough, even tried hominy, great !!!
Toaster - I can't imagine the morning without it. I always dry bread for breakfast so that it is ruddy, with a crispy crust and soft crumb
Microwave - for warming up. I don’t cook anything else in it, I don’t know how, although it is heaped up, with a grill, etc.
For me, a very necessary thing is a tabletop oven. I have had it for 8 years already, I have not done the built-in one, since this one already exists. I bake almost everything there, I recently mastered the grill, before I couldn’t get my hands on it.
Mixer, kettle - this is not discussed.
Of the relatively useless - a juicer. I've had it in my closet for two years now, somehow it didn't come in handy

Dusya Myshkina
I am actually a supporter of natural for dogs.
Drying was excluded for both cats and dogs. I add grated vegetables and cottage cheese to the porridge in the morning, and just raw meat in the evening.
Not cheap, but the vet is more expensive.

And in terms of energy consumption, a home kitchen saves immeasurably more money than you spend on electricity.
One serving of home baked curd buns saves so much money by comparison. with the cost of buying them in cooking! Or compare the cost of pizza in a cafe and home.
To prepare a full pot of pilaf in a multicooker, less than 2 kW is consumed.
One loaf from a bread machine is also at most one and a half kW
In recent months, for family reasons, I began to cook a lot more, but due to the use of a multicooker, an induction hob and a bread maker, there are very significant savings in electricity.
In general, the family's budget won in all respects.
Boo Boo
I have a bread maker, I use it almost every day. A slow cooker, now I only cook in it. Dishwasher, my handles are only what is impossible in the dishwasher. Microwave, in it I defrost food and heat food, I never cook anything in it, but I forgot - I also sometimes cook eggs in it.Recently a blender mixer, just the old ones broke. A couple of days ago I bought a dryer for vegetables and fruits, I haven't used it yet. The combine is put away in the closet, the toaster is also idle. And I also have a yogurt maker and an air grill, which I took to the dacha as unnecessary. I also had a deep fryer, they made only potatoes in it, after it broke down, the desire to buy a new one did not arise.
Tanyusha
I use a bread maker every other day, a master pilaf 2 times a week, a yoghurt maker 2 times a week, I only heat it up in a microwave oven, with a blender and a mixer as needed. I do not use a deep fryer and a juicer is on the antrisols. There is also a waffle iron from Soviet times, I rarely use the same, but due to the fact that there is not enough time. I really want to buy a raclette machine, I liked this unit.
Lenusya
I use everything in the kitchen:
Microwave (microwave + grill + convection + steamer): microwave only for heating and defrosting, I often use everything else for its intended purpose. Sometimes I make toast on the grill, so I didn't buy a toaster.
Breadmaker - not even discussed
The dishwasher is fully loaded.
A citrus juicer - we use 2-3 times a week (just a juicer - it's in the closet, since no one except me wants to drink natural juices, but do it only for myself, and then wash me too lazy)
Yoghurt maker - we use it every other day, I'm very happy.
the scales are also in action.
A meat grinder, a blender with a mixer - I use it as needed, so I also need it.
Now I am thinking: do I need a slow cooker and a thermopot and wait for a new fryer from Tefal ActiFry to appear in stores (where 1 kg of potatoes is fried in 1 tablespoon of oil)
Ferry
In general, I love all kinds of technology and I love to use it. Over a rather long period of management, the park of technical means of mechanization of domestic labor has been constantly growing.
What is:
1. coffee grinder - now I hardly use it, I buy ground coffee of certain brands. I don't like the taste of the ground grains, and the grinding is coarse ...
2.toaster - I use it almost every day
3. microwave (LG, lives with me for a very long time, more than 10 years) - heating, defrosting, hot sandwiches. I don't like the taste of microwave-cooked dishes. She cooked jam, cottage cheese casserole, and sauces are normally obtained. All the rest did not go well.
4. waffle iron - used occasionally when children were young. The process is too long ... Now it has been removed from sight for many years.
5. An electric knife is an absolutely useless thing! It was only when the bread maker appeared - she cut warm bread a couple of times, otherwise it hung on the wall as a dead weight.
6. mixer - with several attachments for beating, kneading dough, for mashed potatoes + coffee grinder. I use it very often - I bake biscuits and muffins, I make cream and all that.
7. harvester of the Baltic production (meat grinder, juicer, blender, coffee grinder) All this wealth is tucked into the mezzanine, the base and blender are left - with a tall jug. Puree soups, mayonnaise and pancakes - quick and easy. I use often
8. harvester SANYO - served faithfully for many years, rubbed, chopped, squeezed juice from citrus fruits, ground and kneaded. Recently removed on the mezzanine - made room for a multicooker
9.electric kettle - I take it out only when there are guests, it is convenient to put it on the table and not run to the stove
this year's acquisitions:
10.bread maker
11. multicooker
12.hand blender with a whisk and chopper (I make milkshakes almost every day, it's very convenient to grind the onion into minced meat)
There were:
- drip coffee maker - I took it to work, I really love coffee and drink a lot, for these purposes I use a geyser Italian coffee maker (brews on gas) and a coffee press
- deep fryer - given it to relatives for reasons of healthy nutrition.
Everything seems to be ... (from the kitchen)

Your set of household appliances can only be envied - there is everything!
What more could you want?

Caprice.

I myself am not a very economical person, but very curious. And because of this curiosity, I often look into the meter to see what draws electricity the most.
I realized for a long time that hot water from a boiler is very expensive.
In our city, the hot water supply is turned off = everyone has electric heaters.
And if, according to the Soviet habit, to wash dishes under the full pressure of hot water, then the boiler may not be enough for one wash.
And this is 4-5 kW.
So you will wash three times a day - 400-500 kW extra per month just for that. Naturally, the dishwasher is more economical, but it also consumes a lot.
The washing machine pulls a lot - 5-6 kW per wash. Illumination in the house, if the bulbs are uneconomical, is also essential.
But for multi-purpose and daily cooking, only very little is spent with a normal organization.
Very slightly home kitchen increases the consumption of electricity compared to the total consumption of the rest of the household appliances.
Of course, if you bake huge turkeys every day at full power in the oven, then yes. Or bake cakes to order. But such a regime is unrealistic for the majority.
In fact, I see that home cooking is the most efficient way to spend energy. In all likelihood, the Japanese also have expensive electricity, so the power of the bread machine is scanty compared to the oven.
And a multicooker with good thermal insulation is also very economical.
In general, I really don't have gas in my house, the stoves are electric, but I'm very happy about that. My sister lives in a house with gas, but just like me, she cooks everything in a multicooker, bakes in a bread maker, and uses only an electric kettle.
The energy that the old electric stove will eat only to heat one cast-iron pancake, the multicooker will spend on cooking a whole dish for the whole family.
The same feature was noted by my friend, who, after purchasing a multicooker and a bread machine, was terrified of waiting for the meter to read for a month, and happily found out that despite the increased cooking, her electricity consumption even decreased.
So all the fears about what kitchen appliances can fuel electricity is a myth.
Even just compare. A purchased cake of disgusting quality cost 12 UAH per piece (about 25 UAH per kg).
And his most delicious and delicious one did with all the costs of kneading in a bread maker and baking in the oven - no more than 12 UAH per kg.
And what about the cheesecake? Several times cheaper than the purchased one!
And the reputation of a wonderful hostess, whose house smells of fresh pies, is an invaluable thing!

With the advent of a cartoon and a bread machine in the house, I use the Thermomix only as a mill for grinding grain, and even as a double boiler, since the multi-boiler is small. And the rest of the functions were taken over by a cartoon with a bread maker.
As for electricity: after purchasing these devices, the electricity bill was cut exactly by half. She herself was in disbelief.

Who uses Nayser Diser? How is he slicing raw potatoes, carrots, beets? They are not included in the advertisement in the list of cut products.

I use it all the time - I'm very happy. Cuts everything (raw and cooked vegetables) very well. But with onions I have a problem - it cuts badly.

USEFUL Useless
refrigerator harvester
mixer from Zeptor microwave (but conditionally, varusbeklu)
bread maker
electric meat grinder
pressure cooker
juicer
electric convection cooker
double boiler
Only the combine is completely useless, gathering dust on the farthest shelf. And I still use the microwave for heating, defrosting, sterilizing cans and cooking beets. By the way, here is my recipe for beets: peel, wash, cut into quarters or halves, depending on the size, put them in a TIGHT plastic bag, tie tight and as close to the beets as possible so that there is as little air as possible. At full power for 10 minutes. The bag will swell like a ball and may burst, if not strong, can be put in two bags. The beets retain their color and are more baked rather than boiled. The very thing for venegretes, salads.

USELESS: a sandwich maker, because hot sandwiches can be made in the microwave, and I also have a table grill, where they are a hundred times tastier. And also a slicer - everything can be bought in slices anyway, and this coffin takes up half of the cabinet. The table grill after daily use turned out to be useless - I got tired of washing the plates plus the grill itself, and then drying the plates for a long and tedious time. Something from the combine is also useless - corollas (I have a separate brand with a mixer), a juicer (no one loved freshly squeezed juices), a kneader (I dream of a bread maker), shredders (everything is cut by a nacer, and I have to rake out thin shavings from the combine) uncut pieces, because there is a large gap between the walls of the bowl and the shredder (we are talking about Kenwood). Silicone baking tins turned out to be necessary, as well as stainless steel - I bought porcelain and fell in love with it. Stainless steel pots are also not used - because of porcelain. In a double boiler, I cook exclusively eggs, and all vegetables - in the microwave, because it is cleaner that way.
Simka
Unhelpful (or nearly so)

Toaster - played around and set aside
A frying pan made of thin metal (rather a saucepan) - it only takes up space, I use other dishes.
half of the harvester attachments - a juicer, for example - not so much juice as spare parts to wash
citrus juicer - works 2 times a year (juice with cellulose is more useful for health, IMHO)

useful, or rather, constantly used:

microwave - defrost, reheat, porridge, hot. butters for my son, bake potatoes, beets for borscht ..., "melt" candied honey ... in short, we actively use
a shredder with attachments (I have a torchman) - shredded cabbage and onions, I rub vegetables, potatoes with cubes - on fries, etc.
grill pan - meat and fish steaks (yum-yum)
bread maker - no comment
different forms for baking and roasting (although there are no silicone ones, since I bought a dozen Teflon ones a long time ago)
the second half of the attachments of the combine - mixer, blender, auger meat grinder, coffee grinder ...

for lovers of special culinary delights, I will separately recommend a mechanical meat grinder and 2 attachments for it - very small holes for grinding poppy seeds and a funnel-shaped attachment for stuffing homemade sausages and bloodworm ... As a rule, these attachments are homemade, and do not fit into the combine ....
Scarecrow
And I have no useless equipment and things for the kitchen. I have a lot of techniques (this is my weakness). I have not yet bought a waffle iron (I will buy it), an ice cream maker (I was puzzled by this one, only a full automatic machine), a deep fryer (I won’t buy it at all, because I don’t like passion fried in fat). There are still unbought things, but I can do without them.

I cannot call any technique useless. There is a rarely demanded technique (well, you won’t cook ice cream five times a day), but when you need it, the result is wonderful and it’s a pleasure to cook. I rarely get fondue, but when I cook - with friends, in a gazebo in the fresh air - there is no more useful unit ... I can't imagine how you can do without a pressure cooker, for example. ALL broths for soups - only in it. It turns out strong and fast. A steamer - not so often, but one chicken roll in it is worth a lot. Microwave with grill - daily warming up (and also to heat oil during cooking, defrost) and grill for hot sandwiches. Electric meat grinder - when buying 8-10 kilos of excellent meat for minced meat. Dishwasher - no comments. So the list can be almost endless. What is not used every day is stored in my "Khlamovna" (my husband calls it that) on shelves in boxes. It is necessary - went, took. I used it - I removed it.

It's just that everyone has their own reasons: someone's well-being does not allow them to buy a thing that you will use only 3 times a year, someone simply has nowhere to put it all, someone does not want to wash a lot of things after use, etc.
One more BUT: there is a technique, in my opinion, that performs its functions rather poorly or is not necessary for me, because some other technique is already doing it for me. But I don’t buy one (why duplicate), so I can’t call it useless. For example, a coffee maker (not a coffee machine). I really dislike the coffee from the coffee maker. Since I drink coffee very rarely (on pleasure), I did not buy a coffee machine, but stupidly brew it in a Turk.
Self-taught baker
And I can't imagine my kitchen without a coffee machine - I can't live normally without coffee ...
My husband bought the deep fryer, BUT gave it to friends after a month of use - they understood "We DO NOT need this ...".
I use an ice cream maker only in summer, I make sorbets for children (I have had it for a long time, I have played enough already).
I want to buy a kitchen Kenwood car, and a bunch of gadgets for it .... BUT wouldn't it be very cumbersome ?? I haven't decided yet.

There is no useless technique - there is a technique NOT necessary for each specific person.

Useful bread maker, multicooker, blender, yogurt maker, microwave oven, refrigerator. Useless harvester, toaster, waffle maker. The harvester was just a gift, so I don't use it. And what I listed in the group is useful - I use it every day or almost every day
Doroteika
For some reason, everyone scolds the combine. In my opinion, this is a very useful technique. And it is needed precisely because of not buying a bunch of everything else. The harvester is: meat grinder, shredder for everything (cabbage, onions, even cuts fries), grater, mixer, others like them (also cursed) juicer (how without it ?, and harvesting juice for the winter? - tomato, apple, plum, carrot, pumpkin, grape, sea buckthorn - we do not buy these juices at all), and chopper and kneader (in this case, it's a pity to drive the breadmaker just for the dough), there is still citrus juicer.
So if I buy each of these units separately, then even a 20-meter kitchen will not be enough for them, and I, living in a hostel, don't even have a kitchen. We have a kitchen in the hall.
skorpy_
My functions of a meat grinder, mixer, shredder and chopper are performed by a blender, and the dough can be kneaded with it. I don't use a juicer at all - well, somehow it probably didn't work out. Of all the "juices" for the winter, we make mainly berries, of which we seemingly invisibly at our dacha, and somehow the juicer is not needed there. And of all the graters I use Berner and I don't see a replacement for him. And the harvester personally kills me got - disassembled-assembled-washed-assembled ... At one time I dreamed about it. And then they gave it to me and we used it ... well, maybe a month or two - then I abandoned this business, my husband did something else there on it (he is my lover of cooking). And then by chance I saw Blender in the store and "sunk" on the function - ice picking ... well, I bought it. And so I mainly use it. Although she didn't really trust him. So my combine is replaced by Blender and Berner (they don't take up much space).
knopa
My opinion is that the need for this or that technique is limited only by the size of the kitchen. The technique should be at arm's length, otherwise you are too lazy to get it and it immediately becomes unnecessary.
I need all the equipment. I use very often:
Bread maker (every day)
Pressure cooker
Dishwasher
Blender
Meat grinder
Waffle maker, pancake maker (two children)
Fryer (husband cannot live without a pot)
Knife sharpener
Yoghurt maker
Slicer
Coffee machine (Turkish coffee)
Microwave (only warming up)
Sandwich maker (grill type, there are double-sided panels)

I rarely use:
Juicer
Sandwich maker (regular sandwich maker)
Toaster
Harvester (I only do breading)

I also want a small cartoon, but I think my husband will not understand me, chocolate girl (I can't find it).
That seems to be all

I read the topic here a bit and also thought about it.What is not the most necessary kitchen equipment I have?
* Probably a fruit / vegetable dryer and juicer. Somehow I didn't quite adapt to the dryer. Although, when the apricot crop attacked us, she helped me out a lot. But that was once. Yes, and I bought this dryer almost certainly knowing that I was buying a toy. But I do not lose hope - what if I can make friends with her?
* The second not the most necessary device is a juicer. It was bought during my first pregnancy. The husband was sure that this was a very necessary thing - pregnant, lactating and babies should drink fresh juices. But the prices for apples and other fruits / vegetables are such that juices are obtained ... not the most financially justified pleasure. And I also like to peel an apple / orange / banana and eat it in this ... not liquid form

A technique for which I do not use all the functions.
* Microwave - although she is two years old, but still I do not use all its capabilities.
* food processor - I still haven't used its juicers (both regular and citrus), I've only used one out of three grating disks so far.
* I used the meat grinder three times in three months: I grated poppy twice and only once for its intended purpose (meat). It also contains graters, attachments for forming curly steaks and another juicer - I have never used this.

The rest of the technique, perhaps, is all in demand.
* Bread maker, as it was said here, no questions asked.
* My dishwasher is small (for 4 sets), but it turned out, as they say, "the most it". I don't have a lot of dishes and a big car would be simply unnecessary. I'd rather start washing three times a day, but I'm not nervous that the dishes are dirty and waiting for garbage, but there are no clean dishes.

From virtual equipment, the purchase of which was:
* I'm not going to buy a yoghurt maker, although I started making homemade fermented milk. I decided that a thermos is more convenient for me.
* I'm going to buy a multicooker (or rather, a pressure cooker), but my need for it is purely mobile, that is, when I am with my children outside the house, I want to have sufficient independence from any cafes.
* And I want an ice cream maker. Let her be a toy, but I just want her.

with your permission, I will also insert my five kopecks into this wonderful Temko :)
I love devices. all sorts of devices. and kitchens as well. And from Everest of past years I can share this life conclusion: for a device to be of high quality, it should have one - the main - its function. and everything that is stuffed there beyond measure is from the evil one. remember the old mobile phones - the screen is black and white, the ringtone is in midi format, no special bells and whistles, but it kept the charge for weeks and dropped repeatedly. and now here you have a camera, a camera, and a bunch of other junk, but it hangs in the menu, until you find what you need, you wrap yourself up ... I have an excellent video camera, but it takes pictures, to put it mildly, not a fountain. there is a digital fotik, why did they cram in there the ability to make a 30-second video, I don't understand.
the same with kitchen appliances. a separate mixer with a separate blender and a separate juicer completely replaces the food processor. The latter, however, I also have, but I use it exactly once a year - when I make bean pate for Christmas. the graters in it do not suit at all - everything flows down into some kind of cake. and washing it ... is more difficult than a regular knife or a regular grater. we use the juicer mainly in summer / autumn, when fruits and vegetables are not so expensive. I like. 2 coffee grinders - manual and machine are idle - I don't like the grinding. although I got used to making sachets from ground grains in the kitchen - paaaaahnet ... the coffee maker is also idle. it is simply unrealistic to make the guests drink coffee. the output is 2 cups for 2 sips. so all evening and stay with her :)
microwave oven. mine is already 7 years old. Sharp with a grill, a convector and some kind of canoe for an expert pizza, which I never figured out :) did not grow together with me and the grill. but made cakes in it. and did porridge. delicious.however, for the last few years, the display has broken in it, which shows the menu. but they don’t get to hand over them for repair. so I cook from memory, guided by sound signals
bread maker - just no comment. egg cooker - thanks to the forum, thanks to which I realized what kind of bagay I own. in the future - buying Multi (mmm, so as not to jinx it). and a lot more hochestayayayayayayayaya .... eh, where can I get a lot of money?
Anastasia
Dear bakers! I cleaned the topic and propose to write in it ONLY about my feelings, if necessary or not, any kitchen equipment, without discussion. And to discuss each specific device in separate topics, since now we have a lot of them and each device has its own!
Tatiana Gnezdilova
An interesting topic - can I speak up?
I love all sorts of novelties, and especially kitchen ones! Therefore, the kitchen has not only the most necessary equipment, but there are also surpluses. Namely:
+ refrigerator (2 pcs) a necessary thing
+ email kettle - where without it
+ favorite mullet (multicooker large)
+ microwave, she is already 13-14 years old, not a single breakdown (heating, cereals, vegetables, etc.)
+ good email oven (the stove was specially changed)
+ blender, minimalist - I use it all the time
+ kitchen harvester (Kenwood) - stands on the table, often used
+2 coffee grinders (regular and burr with grind adjustment)
+ coffee maker (not essential, but desirable)
Also available, but not often used:
-yogurt maker (I already have an old one for 1 liter, but it works great)
-toaster
But there is also email. the waffle iron, the miracle of the stove, stand idle at all.
There is no and never will be: deep fryers, ice makers, chocolate makers.
I really want to bake !!!! (but for now I am in the throes of choice)
But this is my personal opinion and I do not impose it on anyone!
Chhag
Needed:
The refrigerator is clear, I will add that nofrost is a thing.
Gas stove with electric ignition, gas control, grill and spit. At least 60cm is desirable. We often grill chicken, just grilling is not rare, electric ignition is the first necessity, but gas control ... Who has never escaped at least something?
Microwave - only warming up. on the other hand, warming up is constant, the only way to make pilaf from the refrigerator is just like from a cauldron, and right in the plate. well, everything else. Without her, nothing.
Bread maker - no comments.
The blender is constantly in use, the chopper in the glass is an important function.
Toaster. Complete with a bread maker, it turned out to be an essential thing, although it used to be idle often
Silent cooker. Full imitation of the Russian stove. The beef neck melts in the mouth after it.
Electronic balance. Mandatory with taring.

Not useful:
Harvester. Too long to reach-assemble-disassemble-wash-dry-clean. justifies itself only when preparing for a wedding.
Espresso machine. Wasteful, and I like it more in cezve.
Fondyushnitsa. They dabbled four times in three years.

Buy:
Multicooker. Something here is praised by everyone ...
Dishwasher. On the 8th of March to give my wife something that I like to cook from time to time, and they eat everything with pleasure, but to wash the dishes ...
Dough rolling noodle cutter. I have been looking for a long time and persistently.
irism
interesting temka !!!!
I'll try and analyze my wealth
