Rfis (oriental sweetness)

Ingredients

wheat flour 1 glass
dates 20 pcs.
butter 50 g

Cooking method

  • Fry the flour until golden brown. Remove seeds from dates, heat them in the microwave or in the same frying pan, along with flour, when it is already golden. Next, the flour with dates must be brought to a homogeneous consistency, this can be done with a blender and the mixture will look like this:

  • Now, while the mass has not cooled down, mix the butter into it in pieces, gradually achieving the state of a tough dough. This dough can be decomposed into tins, or you can simply store it in the refrigerator in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks in the form of a flat cake.

The dish is designed for

4-6 servings

Time for preparing:

15-20 minutes

National cuisine

tunisian

Note

I really like this dessert - in spite of the presence of dates, there is no cloying in it, and even the taste of the dates themselves is almost not felt. The taste is rather nutty, "halva". And yet - for some reason the author recommends using NOT premium flour. I used it in half - VS and ZZ (premium and whole grain).
This recipe was adopted from her Arabic friends and brought to us by Elena Kemarskaya, for which many thanks to her!

dopleta, the recipe is just a fairy tale, tell me, do you have a hand blender? I have a stationary one, I'm afraid I won't dare as it should.

Omela
dopleta , great !!! And I want to try !!! Go for dates !!!
dopleta
Just keep in mind - you need to mix the oil with your hands! In a blender, a tough plastic dough will not work, it will break the mass into crumbs.

Roughly said so !!!

Larisa, I recommended NOT premium flour, because this version of the Russian Federation is adapted for our Russian products. In the original, they use semolina, and semolina there are n-th number of species and only hard varieties, which is almost impossible to find here =) I posted the original of the Russian office on my blog =)
