Apple Pie by Shula Modan

Ingredients

Apples 8 pcs.
Cinnamon 1 tsp
Eggs 3 pcs.
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Vegetable oil 3/4 Art.
Baking powder 1.5 tsp.
Flour 1.5 tbsp.

Butter 75 g

Cooking method

  • 1. Peel the apples and cut into large medium slices. Mix apples and cinnamon. Put the sliced ​​apples in 2 layers on the bottom of the mold.
  • 2. In a bowl, mix eggs, sugar, rast. butter and flour. We line the resulting dough with apples.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 0C. The dough should be browned.
  • 3. In a small saucepan over low heat, heat the butter with sugar until completely dissolved. Add chopped nuts and mix.
  • 4. When the cake is ready, take it out of the oven (do not turn off the oven) and top it with a butter-nut mixture.
  • 5. We return the pie back to the oven, turn it off and keep the pie in the turned off oven for another 30 minutes.

In my wanderings around the Net, I stumbled upon the name of Shula Modan, a storyteller and culinary specialist from Israel, who published 2 cookbooks. I found and downloaded them, a very interesting writing style, the recipes are interspersed with fairy tales, there are a number of very interesting recipes. This is the first one.

My findings
Apples next time (and it will be necessary) I will take more, 10 pieces; My nuts were very coarsely chopped, next time I will grind in a combine to make large nut crumbs; You can take even more nuts or make a double portion of the coating - it is very tasty !!!!!

The pie itself is extraordinary - the dough is very tender, not at all dry, apples give additional juiciness, but the coating is a separate song, I would eat it like that with a spoon, let alone baked on a pie ... The pie is prepared very quickly, and eaten even faster !!!!

From the notes in the margins: I baked in a round shape with a diameter of 21 cm, which is not enough for this cake - I almost got over the sides when baking. Apples need to be cut very coarsely so that the dough can get through and fasten between the pieces. And then in some places I got a pie on applesauce.
And the taste is very even. And without semolina, otherwise I had all the apple pies before that were only with her
