Waffles "Giraffes"

Waffles Giraffes

Ingredients

Margarine (you can use butter) 200 g
Egg 5 pieces
Sugar 10 tbsp. l
Flour 10 tbsp. l

Cooking method

  • At the request of the girls who have gathered for a meeting in Kiev, I present my recipe for waffles. The waffles are very fragile, sweet and tasty. So.
  • "Giraffes" (the name was invented by our forum users)
  • I make the dough with a mixer (it's easier this way)
  • Beat eggs with sugar. Melt margarine / butter (I do it in the microwave). Mix with egg and sugar mixture. Add flour. Mix.
  • I bake in a Sovdep waffle iron. I recommend that before baking the first waffle, grease the hot plates a LITTLE (!) With vegetable oil.
  • The waffles are baked quickly. They become fragile even faster. Therefore, it is necessary to immediately shape it hot.
  • We tried different fillings, but we decided for ourselves that it is better WITHOUT them. The fragility is not lost and even moderately sweet.
  • Bon Appetit!
  • Made on the next. oil. I did not notice a particular difference either in baking for fat content or in taste. Today I beat the eggs with sugar a lot and the dough turned out to be not the same as usual - thicker, but at the same time more airy. Therefore, the waffles turned out to be very, very tiny. You take the wafer in your mouth and it crumbles into dust. I like more "weighty" I will beat eggs less next time After a close tasting, we decided that it turned out very tasty and tender!
  • That was the butter and eggs. I always measure out sugar with spoons. This is what eggs, whipped with sugar, looked like today
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • Melted sl. oil. And what does the dough look like after adding sl. oils
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • I also measure the flour with spoons and immediately sift it all into the dough
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • This is how the dough turned out today (usually the dough turns out to be thinner)
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • Sovdepovskaya I grease the waffle iron a LITTLE with vegetable oil with a napkin (I dial a couple of times as in the photo and grease the top and bottom panels).
  • This is what the oiled panel looks like (very thin layer of oil!)
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • And this is a portion of dough for 1 waffle (a little more than 1/2 tablespoon) - I don't like waffles for the whole waffle iron
  • This is how a waffle turns out (note - there is no "puddle" of fat around!)
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • And now FAT TEST
  • I put the cooled wafer on a napkin and, pressing it, held it (more precisely, my husband held it)
  • The bottom line is almost clean napkins!
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • And here I wrapped the waffle with a napkin and squeezed a little with my hand. There were NO grease stains on the napkins again.
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • And this is what my waffle iron looks like after baking of all waffles.
  • In the waffle iron itself, of course, there is a little fat (it simply cannot be there, since there is a sufficiently large amount of fat in the dough), but there is no way to "float". Please note: in the corners of the plates (lower left corner of the photo) Little fat, but in the center it is almost dry (see photo 2). I did NOT wipe the plates during baking!
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • And here are the culprits themselves (note, in the second photo you can see what thin waffles have learned today, already delicate!)
  • Waffles GiraffesWaffles Giraffes
  • SUMMARY:
  • 1. After the experiment, I am inclined to think that most likely the matter is really in the presence or absence of Teflon coating in waffle irons
  • Girls with Teflon-coated waffle irons, try to reduce the fat rate as Elena Bo advised. I, unfortunately, cannot advise anything on this matter, since I do not have such a waffle iron
  • 2. If you want thinner airy waffles, beat the eggs with sugar better (but keep in mind that it is difficult to bring such waffles to your mouth, however, as well as to stop eating them)

These waffles are not only pretty, but also delicious. I confirm!

Girls, spoons are REGULAR.I take it with a little bit. The original recipe indicated the equivalent of the amount of flour and sugar in grams:
sugar - 300 g
flour - 200-300 g.
You can try it if you like. I did not try. I always do it with a spoon)

Thanks for the recipe! The result is wonderful giraffe waffles! Everything is very easy to do and quickly eaten! I used to bake with a different recipe, but I didn't like the result. And these waffles are just a miracle: thin, crispy, delicious! And it turns out a lot, about 25 pieces just came out.
shuska
To your health!
They are really delicious and always work out.

the waffles are tasty, but for some reason not crispy.
The waffles turn out to be non-crunchy, if they are stacked on top of each other until they cool completely - then they become damp, well, or else I did not get very crunchy according to another recipe, but there was much more flour and the waffles were baked thick and did not crunch.
shuska
Just now I saw your messages
I have waffles for this recipe always very crispy and crumbly. Up to the point that they crumble as soon as they are consumed And they cool down almost instantly - if you gape a little and did not have time to twist it, everything is gone, the waffle will break

From vetlan, maybe you made some mistake in the recipe or technology? Well, for example, they put too much flour, well, or the waffle iron bakes thick waffles ...
Don't despair, try again. I think you will succeed
From vetlan
Did everything exactly according to the recipe. My waffle iron comes from the USSR, maybe that's why it's thick and doesn't crunch! Like the recipe, thank you very much for it. I'll try again. I hope it works!
Miss Raspberry
shuska made waffles according to your recipe and liked it very much. Very, very tasty.
True, I put butter and margarine in half.
Thanks for the recipe.

I baked waffles according to different recipes. I decided to try your recipe.
The husband and son said that these are the most delicious
Thanks for the recipe, I will use it.
shuska
Irina S., to your health! Glad you liked.
My boys really love these waffles too. And not only boys ...
Aunt Besya
I did not even doubt that the first recipe I tried in the new device would be Giraffe !!! Heard so much !!!
They turned out very tasty - not sugary, crispy !!
Here is one question I have: I did it in butter, as prescribed in the recipe, I put a pack of -200 grams. The butter was flowing straight out of the waffle iron. Well, maybe not pure oil, but a yellow oily substance ... Is it an excess of fat in the recipe or a problem with the unit ??

Malekh negritos in the photo, but firstly, I love so much, and secondly, in life they are a little paler

Aunt Besya - Elena , I just compared my recipe with this and the discrepancy in my quantity of flour and sugar - I have sugar 300g and flour 250-300g, butter and eggs as in the recipe, even at the end of the batch I add milk and I NEVER have butter does not flow from the waffle iron.My waffles are always very tasty and crispy, and I add milk when I save on eggs - instead of 5 I take 3pcs. Here I wrote https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=1488.0 - try to do this - you will not regret
Elena Bo
These recipes are all old. They were used for waffle makers without a non-stick coating, which is why there is so much oil. so as not to stick. I'm on non-stick, I'm cutting oil. 150 gr. can be taken safely. Perhaps less, I have not tried it.
I do not grease the waffle iron plates at all.
shuska
Aunt Besya, as they say, WITH A REASON! I'm glad I liked the waffles.
Regarding the oil and its quantity - I always use margarine (it is listed first in the recipe). I really bake in a Sovdepovskaya waffle iron without a non-stick coating. And I pour the dough into the center (well, I don't like huge rectangular waffles-bast shoes). Grease never drips from the waffle iron. I grease the waffle iron plates with rast. butter once before the first waffle.

But take our word for it, waffles were NEVER FAT! I am very surprised that someone wrote that the waffles turn out to be fat I will not argue (as they say, the taste and color ...), but all those who tried my waffles did not call them fat

Maybe you really need to put less fat in non-stick waffle makers, or maybe margarine behaves somehow "quieter". Try this and that. If you can correct the recipe for your waffle iron, I will only be glad
Aunt Besya
No no no!!!! The waffles are superb, never greasy, very crispy, there is no fat on the hands !!! There was no need to lubricate either. The waffle iron is new, just before the very first waffle, it went over both plates with a brush with a grater. It drips at the moment when you press the lock - straight spray !! I thought at first that it was water (steam), but also glass-ceramics, on which the waffle iron stood and she herself was covered in oil. White rag-soaked-like oil !!!! Here I am, as a beginner user of this unit and trying to find out
shuska
Aunt Besya,
Fuh, otherwise I was already scared that you were also fat, okay, if you liked it.
I'm thinking, can I really try to reduce the butter or replace it with margarine so that the new waffle makers turn out the waffles as needed? If you dare to try, let me know, pliz, it turned out
NatalyMur
I make these waffles quite often ... Indeed, splashes, I would say there were such dough explosives and I had 2 times, when the waffle iron was at full power ... no more problems ... Only condensation from the back of the waffle iron drips a little and that's it ...
shuska
This recipe has been known to many housewives since the times of the USSR. I, as I wrote in the recipe itself, put it up at the request of our forum users.

NatalyMurDo you bake in butter or margarine? And in what waffle iron (Sovdepovskaya or Tefl. Coated)?

I refused the margarine - I bake in butter ... Maybe that's why the explosives And the waffle iron- Azure 600- there is a non-stick coating ...
shuska
Well SHO can be done with you! Have to get up and go make waffles
Here the little ones will be delighted!
For lack of margarine, today I will try to make on the next. oil.

Thanks for your hard work ...
I understand that if I have Teflon, I need to put less oil ... Boom try
lence
Shuska thank you very much for the recipe!
The waffles are great !!!
The pets grabbed from under their hands, not letting them bake, saying that this was the taste of childhood, when waffles were constantly baked.
shuska
lence, glad that you liked Pekite to your health
And when they cool down, they will become crispy and very tasty And absolutely do not soak for several days
finanna
Thanks for the recipe!
I bought a waffle iron and was the first to make your waffles. I just put butter and margarine in equal parts. It turned out very tasty and quite a lot))) Only with me they were soooo fragile, that after the invasion of children into the kitchen to eat sweets, the whole kitchen was in waffle crumbs)))) When I ate myself, I tried in vain not to crumble))) Maybe it's because of the margarine ...
And so very tasty and not at all greasy!
Thank you
Miss Raspberry
finanna, they actually crumble very strongly. I solved this problem: I do not roll it into tubes, but leave it with a pancake. So much less crumbling.
shuska
Girls, I noticed that the harder you beat the eggs, the more fragile the waffles are. But butter or margarine, I think, doesn't really matter. I always do it on margarine, and the last time I did it on the next. oil. So the last time (see the master class above) the waffles turned out to be very fragile (I beat the eggs hard). I wrote about this there.
lesik_l
Thanks from the whole family.

Fast, tasty, convenient. Baked in a Sovdepovsky frying pan-waffle iron on gas. So great - one side - 2 minutes, turn over, fold, put on the next portion.

Eggs are medium (see photo on page 1) Never bothered about size

Thanks for the tasty treats! : rose: Did the second time. The first was - tasted towards the end, when I finished the last, in ice cream cones. This game was played immediately, with fervor and heat. Hopefully enough ice cream cones for a couple of days. Very tasty waffles, crispy and sweet. To do, however, is very long - 6 minutes one waffle ... But I have such a waffle iron.
shuska
Oh, waffles with ice cream are delicious! True, we always just eat these waffles. We love to unfold the wafer piece by piece
To your health!

I also baked waffles according to this recipe, only I took 4 eggs, they bake well, crispy. I also did it with only 1 tbsp of milk + a little more flour, I did not like it, it turns out thick and does not roll well. I will make giraffes.
