Omelet in a package

Ingredients

eggs 4 things
milk 200 ml
salt taste

Cooking method

  • I can't help but share such a simple and at the same time original recipe.

  • Boil water in a saucepan in advance. We don't turn off the fire.
  • Break eggs into a deep bowl, season with salt. Beat with a mixer until fluffy.
  • Add milk and continue whisking until frothy.
  • Take two plastic bags (one into the other) and pour our mixture. We tie the bag on a knot and put it in boiling water. We leave for exactly 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, take out the bag, open it and put the omelet on a plate.
  • Bon Appetit!

Note

I loved this recipe!
For a long time I was looking for an omelet to taste similar to that - originally from childhood.
Everything turned out the first time!
True, at first I was worried if the bag would burst during cooking. He pouted very much !!!

In the recipe, I indicated my amount of ingredients.

But after all, the bags are plastic of unknown quality and here there is a tight contact with the product even when heated. We get a full bouquet of carcinogens in the dish. Well this is my IMHO.

It seems to me that you can achieve, if not a similar, then a very similar result, if the omelet is poured into a deep glass bowl and put in a water bath ... IMHO

lesik_l I also thought about it at first. I remember earlier at every corner they shouted that food cooked in a microwave oven was poison. But we haven't given up on it. Everyone adapts as best he can and chooses the necessary kitchen utensils for himself, regardless of who and what he thinks about it (about this utensil).
In the above forum I mentioned there was a debate about cooking in a package. The author of the recipe specifically learned from chemists - the bags are no more harmful than baking sleeves, as well as our favorite silicone molds.
But this is my IMHO.

kava perhaps. But I tried it in a bag. Do not judge strictly.

Do not confuse cellophane and polyethylene films.
Cellophane is quite an environmentally friendly material that allows the processing of products packed in it (for example, sausages in a cellophane casing) up to +200 degrees Celsius.
But polyethylene, in addition to being of different brands and, accordingly, has different physical and chemical. properties, do not eat gut in the sense of environmental friendliness, especially during heating, melting and destruction.
You can distinguish cellophane from polyethylene as follows:
1. Cellophane is transparent, and the plastic film is cloudy, and the thicker, the more opaque it is.
2. Cellophane rustles, but plastic wrap does not.
3. Cellophane is difficult to break, especially in a certain direction, but if the tear has already begun, then it spreads further with almost no effort. The plastic wrap tears easily enough in any direction.
4. Cellophane is not as flexible as polyethylene.
Example: bouquets of flowers, boxes of chocolates are wrapped in cellophane ...

Lёka, we just reason out loud! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

And I bake a similar omelet in a glass form in the oven or in an airfryer ... The same, plus a nice golden brown crust on top ...

Caprice I used to do it in the oven and in the double boiler too. This is just another cooking option.

Omelet in a package (master class)

Omelet in a package

Ingredients

Eggs - 5 pieces
Milk 150-200 ml
Salt to taste
A saucepan of water. (as needed)

Cooking method

Beat eggs with milk with a whisk, salt. Pour into a bag (grease the bag with vegetable oil) and immerse it in a pot of boiling water. Cook for about 25 minutes (on average, I take 5 minutes per egg). We take the bag out of the water, cut it and serve the finished omelet. The omelet always turns out to be tender, porous but dense enough. Bon Appetit.

More often I cook this omelet in a small saucepan, because I cook it in a small bag and for a couple of eggs. Here I decided to use the Liberty multicooker.
(Better to use two packages)
I am beautifull
What package? For baking?

No ordinary bags are dense, I marinate them in them, you can use them for baking.
I also use ice packs.

Tan, do you need to tie the bag or what?
Admin

Tanyusha, while I was thinking on what day I should make this omelet for breakfast - you figured it out faster

I tie it in a knot, although the bag is on a clip, but it's just more convenient.

Thank you. It was invented before me. When my child was a lyalka, I made up a menu for him and fed him according to a book, according to the season (there used to be such books for baby food) and so this omelet was there.

I read a lot about omelet in a bag, but I never cooked an omelet (as that sounds). But now I will definitely ... cook an omelet (like a song to my ear)!
Thank you, Tanyawhat prompted!

Great idea! I even seem to taste it. And you can add something for beauty: mushrooms, peas, ham.

Che, I didn't like 25 minutes. And if there are 2 in a bag, and there are 2 or 3 such bags - whoever needs it. It will cook in 7-10 minutes. Or in silicone molds on the steamer basket - if you pour boiling water, it will also save time.

A good idea! And then leave the round meat in the salad, like mozzarella
