Fried Samosa patties (Indian SAMOSA patties)

Ingredients

premium wheat flour 250 g
semolina 4-5 st. l.
cream margarine 60 g
boiling water 120 ml
salt / sugar 1 tsp. / 0.5 h. l.
vegetable oil for frying
filling
any potato and vegetable mixture

Cooking method

  • SAMOSA - samosas are a miracle that must be tried! They are unusual for everyone - and their taste is unusual, and the dough, and shape, and size. The filling can be any - any vegetables that you have in stock will go. Spoil your loved ones with this miracle of Indian cuisine or surprise your guests - they will surely be delighted!
  • When I read these words in a recipe by a respected Indian connoisseur Aron-Space, then I decided to fry the samosas by all means!
  • The dough was made immediately in the HP bucket. I mixed flour with salt and 4 tbsp. l. semolina (I left one spoon to correct the consistency of the dough, I collected the spoons according to the principle - how long will it last!) Poured into a bucket. I made boiling water and melted margarine in the microwave. She poured hot margarine and boiling water into a bucket, quickly stirred with a silicone spoon and turned on the Pizza program.
  • The result is a soft, dense and non-sticky dough (if necessary, you can add a tablespoon of semolina if the dough sticks to your hands)
  • This is how the bun turned out - soft, but kept its shape, the dough did not stick to my hands.

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or cauldron and fry our Samosas until golden brown. Fry in plenty of oil over medium heat. It took me 5 to 7 minutes on both sides together.

The dish is designed for

7-8 large thin patties

Time for preparing:

1 hour 10 minutes

Cooking program:

HP, Pizza program

Irish, I treat you!
Thank you for paying attention to samosas
Yes, the Pizza program is full - 45 minutes, semolina is in the same place! The dough comes out immediately for cutting, ready-made, warm Therefore, in 1 hour and minutes, the pies will be ready
Try it, Ira, it's delicious! Only roll out the dough thinly, this is the peculiarity of samosov.

Svetik, but on the handle you have a kind of chubby pie, but small, and on a plate it seems like a cheburek, I mean that the workpiece must be flattened before frying or is it an optical illusion

Ira, this recipe author's pen(I wrote there next to the photos, this is Aron shows how to sculpt samosas in Indian style)
And I molded - bast shoes Thin Russian pies! Even the filling can be seen through ... Our molding is different! Whoever wants to!
In my opinion, this is the dough, the thinner the better the taste of the pies!

Rimma71
No, flour has not been cooked! It is necessary to pour in a thin stream and at this time stir with a silicone spoon-spatula! As soon as the water and margarine are poured, turn on the HP.
If you knead with your hands, then stir with a spoon until the dough cools down to such a temperature that you can knead and not burn yourself.
Good luck!

I am delighted now I know what samosas atoms are in the summer at sea in Feodosia, heard how they sold something like this, but since I don't buy from the trays, they decided that this was a new Tatar dish, but when they asked the Tatars, they just shrugged their shoulders, not knowing what it was such, then the whole family decided that it was a semblance of Tatar samsa, but only with fruits or berries. Now I will definitely cook it and buy it by the sea next summer and see what they sell there under the name samosas.

I tried to sculpt with triangles, it turned out coarsely, but delicious! Made with potato stuffing with herbs, but, in my opinion, with meat it will be even tastier !!! The dough is really delicious, soft and crispy. Thank you, lana7386

Sveta, I'm going to fry samosas today. I want to add cauliflower to the potatoes. Tell me how you pinch samosas - like a pie - a seam from the bottom or like a cheburek - a seam from the side

I baked pies, so I pinched it with a seam at the top, and then rolled it out thinly with a seam at the bottom. Fried, starting from the seam below!
If the samosas are in a classic triangle shape, then all the seams are at the top, and then fry, starting with the seams at the bottom ...
kirch , can you make out my explanations?
Good luck! Good luck!
Show off your samosiki?

Now the dough is kneading in the bread maker .. It turns out to be thick, I added a little more water. Monkey put 4 spoons. I did not understand whether you baked pies or fried. The photo seems to be fried. There will be no photo, because there is nothing to photograph. But I will write about the result

Different housewives can have anything. Products, scales (how did you measure the flour?). But this dough is very tender and plastic obtained according to the recipe.
Does your recipe reflect well? Completely? Did you pour boiling water over the flour?
Of course fried
Well I will wait! Samosas are great fried pies!
kirch
Svetochka, I am reporting. I measured everything on the scales. The dough turned out to be very plastic. It rolled out very thinly, but it didn't stick well. As a result, when frying, the bottom opened slightly, and the bottom turned out to be less thin and crunchy than the top. And the appearance is not the same as yours. The blush was not very good, m. B. put more sugar. But still delicious. Now we had dinner with my husband. He liked this. Thanks for the recipe

Fuh! I was so worried ...
I am glad that they still worked out, these Indian fried pies. Since my husband liked it, it means it worked!
When I transferred the pies to the pan, I also stretched them in the air, this made the dough thinner. If the sweetness doesn't bother you to taste, you can add sugar. I did exactly according to the recipe

Nut, very beautiful samosiki. I see that you have them sealed, like a cheburek. I'm not wrong? I alone tried to do this, but it opened up and both halves swelled like balloons. I don’t understand why. Maybe my dough was cool after all.

Maybe you didn't take the water hot enough and the choux dough turned out to be of a different consistency? Or they did not mix immediately and the water lowered the degree. Was the kneading done in HP, in a bucket? I want everything to be easy and good
kirch
Yes, I kneaded the dough in a bread maker. The water was poured out immediately after boiling. I wrote that I added water during the batch. Probably, it was necessary to add more

We may have very good flour, which I use, but our air humidity is very high. You may have it drier ...
I wrote that the bun is very soft
kirch
The flour is good. I used to buy macfa, and the last pack was somehow unsuccessful. The manti dough is sticky. Now I buy Orenburg (so the seller says) by weight. We have no humidity, especially now, when there is heating. But I'll cook the samosas again. Cold the next day was delicious

I really want you to succeed at "5+" Semolina also happens to be finely ground, it will quickly swell from boiling water and hot margarine, and sometimes it is coarsely ground ... Well, all these are trifles! You will succeed ! Good luck, kirch!

kubanochka - LENOCHEK!
To the health of your parents And light Fasting!
Creamy margarine can be substituted for regular margarine that does not contain butter, or perfectly substituted for vegetable oil, as you did. I remembered - 2 tbsp. l.!
Although in his sermon, the priest said that do not look for eggs in bread, that is, fasting for the laity is not as strict as the monastery fast! But everyone decides for himself with God's Blessing!
Thank you, Lenochka, for the kind words of feedback, I am very happy and pleased!

Lana Thanks for the samosas recipe! I could not resist, such a delicious photo! I fried it yesterday, with potatoes and herbs, very tasty I made the kneading with knives in a bowl for about three minutes. She sculpted like you, in the form of pies, rolled out thinly, the dough does not break. Came out 8 pieces, ate in the heat of the heat.
