And I am very upset that the holes in the trays of this drying are large, blueberries and currants cannot be dried.

You can put an ordinary tracing paper on a pallet in a ring (in my center the main flow is - the usual "Breeze" - I think you have a similar model) and pierce many times like a mesh with an ordinary knitting needle or a thick needle and then any berries or finely chopped grass will not fall through. ..

And in time - usually they write on the dryer itself - the required temperature and time for the products, but it is more convenient to take breaks to cool the product and turn it on again for drying ...
on Veterka it is recommended:
Apricots / plums 10-18 hours (55-70 degrees) - I think this also includes all our wet berries (strawberries, cherries, etc.)
Apples 6-8 hrs (55-70 degrees)
Pears 15-30h (55-70degree)
Beans 6-10h (55-70degree)
Mushrooms 2-6h (45-55 degrees)
Grapes 10-15h (40-50 degrees)
Medicinal herbs 3-7 hours (30-40 degrees)
Successful mastering of the unit!

I bought Veterok-5 (not to be confused with Dry Winds) and tried it out.

What we liked:
- relatively low price (1890r),
- the presence of a fan (not very noisy - I can't hear it from the next room),
- the ability to adjust the heater (with a thermostat) from zero (when the heating is off),
- a fairly frequent grate (so that small berries do not fall through) in comparison with all the models I have reviewed earlier.

What I (as an engineer) would do differently:
- with increasing temperature, would automatically reduce the air flow.

After all, the higher the air temperature, the lower its relative humidity and there is no need to drive it so quickly.

At the same time, there would be savings in energy consumption.

My advice is this: if you have very large quantities of fruits / vegetables / berries for processing, then one drying will not be enough
You're right!

I have dried about 10 kg of blueberries (there are plenty of blueberries this year, but I’m tired of crawling through the bushes) and a lot of other stuff.

I will buy a couple more pallets for my Veterka-5 - it will be enough ... and (maybe) one more dryer.

Funny stuff: before, I threw all the fruit carrion into the compost, but it so happened that sometimes not all pallets were involved and (in order not to waste excess energy) I decided to try to dry (at the same time) this sour meat for compote.

It turned out that the kids love to chew IT (so there is nothing left for the compote). I cannot find a rational explanation for this passion - there are a lot of the freshest raspberries, currants, cherries around.

I also have a Veterok, though not so roomy, only 3 pallets and not transparent ... but I'm quite happy with it, it works very quietly. I dry greens on it, onion arrows, onions itself, bell peppers, carrots. Then I grind the greens and onions in a blender, and I fill them in jars and are an excellent seasoning, especially for porridge.

Tell me please. I'm new to this question ... How do you feel about my choice for drying Electric dryer ESOF-0.5 / 220 Veterok (increased performance). White plastic. The height of the pallets is 5 cm. And tell me, did anyone dry homemade noodles? Is it even possible?

Roller for this dryer.

Hello everyone!
Specify, please, who knows for sure about the size of the cells of the Veterka pallets!
Obgorka_gu says that the berries fall through, and Jktu says that he dried 10 kg of blueberries ...
I am going to dry mostly blueberries and other small berries.
Will you need to put some kind of mesh or not?
Nathalte
I dried blueberries this year - nothing fails. There are no big holes there. I only had orange zest in sun-dried zucchini partially falling down, and it rubbed on a fine grater. By the way, besides blueberries, I also dried strawberries - everything is also ok. And there seem to be no smaller berries.
Brune
Nathalte, thank you very much!
Resolved, I will buy Veterok!
Nathalte
Brune, good luck. I bought it myself this year and I'm very happy.
Brune
Finally bought it!

Electric dryer Veterok

Already tried it, everything works. Dried a little apples and bananas, made sun-dried tomatoes. In the photo, candied fruits from citrus peels are dried. The pallets are just what you need - I will dry blueberries next year! And the mushrooms, too, and then tired of stringing them on a string!

I join your community. Summer has passed, at the dacha half of the harvest remained on the ground - I could not bring it, and the children and grandchildren help to eat what has already been delivered and washed, and preferably cut and cleaned. They gave me an envelope for my birthday with instructions to buy something for myself, and be sure to report back. And then it dawned on me: I need to buy a dryer by next year.
I chose for a long time - I like prunes with pits (from blackthorns), apricots and tomatoes - in halves, that is, high trays are needed, and not 3, but 5 pieces.
Suddenly I saw that discounts had begun, and the toad strangled it, was tempted by 34% and 6 pallets, bought a "breeze-2".
It seems that all the parameters are satisfied, now I will wait for summer.
So hello to colleagues - "breeders"

Congratulations on your purchase, let it serve properly!
Now we are waiting for sweets, from the fact that the half-eaten lies on the ground

Good day. They gave me a Veterok-2 dryer at NG. What to dry, when and how much - I'll figure it out, but how to dry, for example, tomatoes with chips, other more liquid products that have been in syrup, because they will not drain from the syrup to a drop. I mean, in drying, the motor is not covered with plastic, as in Isidri, for example, but like a piece of iron with holes, whether drops, crumbs from greenery get into these holes. Girls, please, answer in more detail.

We have Dryer Recipes section https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=174.0 that's where we discuss how to dry. And many of our recipes
In the general section there are topics on what, how much and how to dry, you will also find a lot of useful information
anele0707
Thank you, I've already sort of studied everything, looked it over, I've been sitting here for 5 months already, I saw about gauze and tulle, but specifically about the base of this iron with holes, I did not see anything, only that the pallet had to be put. Maybe I overlooked something - tell me.
Pupstt
Please tell me how many pallets can be hung on Veterok 2? I wanted to buy from 6th and 4 to buy. Or maybe more is possible ...
anele0707
Good afternoon, I would not buy more, if the volumes are large, it is better to buy a second dryer.

guys help! I really need two Veterka - myself and my ancestors, but I live in Almaty, Kazakhstan, we don't have such, and from Russian sites delivery is only in Russia. If anyone can send two dryers to Ata, please write! Thank you!

good day. bought a breeze 2 ESOF-0.6. and this question puzzled me - where to install the tray for the accumulation of fat? under pallets? the air does not go into the dryer, but into the kitchen. in the last pallet? it shouldn't be like this. but the instructions do not say anything about this
Admin

Something I did not understand anything Why a tray for fat, if this device is designed for drying vegetables and fruits It seems that fat does not drip from them
Letta
my dryer is designed for drying fish and meat. and therefore comes with a drip tray

So put the pallet under the meat, as I understand it

From my own experience of drying, I know that no fat is melted from meat, for this the temperature in the dryer is low, only a maximum of 60 * C, at which the meat simply dries up. Look at here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=139288.0 and here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=153790.0

Thank you. I just have no experience of drying-drying. but what is this pallet for?

Thank you. I just have no experience of drying-drying. but what is this pallet for?

I just put a tray at the bottom of the dryer for drying pastilles, there can drip marinade from meat - but not fat
Letta
to the bottom of the dryer is exactly where? to the bottom of the first pallet?
Admin

Yes, even under a pallet of meat, only for the marinade to drip on it. Meat on a wire rack, and a collection of liquid under it
Letta
Thank you. all clear. sorry for my stupid persistence

GIRLS. I HAVE A BREAK DRYER. 3 YEARS SUPER WORKED. AND THIS YEAR, CHERRY IS DRYING FOR 3 DAYS. WHAT IS THE REASON ? WORKS IN THE SAME PRINCIPLE
scorpo11
Hello everyone! I watched a video about Veterok-2 on YouTube. And my question is ripe, is it possible to use a fat tray for marmalade? I will only buy an electric dryer, so I'm still a layman in this. What do power users think?

Lenochkamaybe the cherry is juicier this year, it rained often.

May I ask here too? And what is the difference between Veterok 2 and 5? What's better?
Valyusik
This year Veterok2 bought 6 pallets. Perfectly dried different mushrooms-6-8. S. clock and dried mushrooms are ready. Dried both white and boletus and honey mushrooms. Dried a 3-liter jar. Carrots and peppers dried well too.

Help me please! The ten burned out, and I can't find where to buy it: girl_cray: And I don't have a service center address. Drying from last year, the guarantee is over and the coupon, where the address could be, I threw out Now how much else I need to dry, but it does not dry ...
Fofochka, maybe your ten flew too .. drying works the same way, just the air is cold, and therefore nothing dries
Mila1
Can you please tell me, but in such a dryer you can dry the marshmallow? Electric dryer for vegetables and fruits ESOF-0.6 / 220 "Veterok-2" (6 pallets, corrugated packaging) transparent
Admin

Absolutely any dryer can be used to dry herbs, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and pastilles.
You just need to look at the complete set of the dryer and equip it with special "spare parts" such as nets, marshmallow plates and so on ... why read the information in other topics where girls are doing this.

And pay attention to the power of the dryer in the instruction passport, it is preferable to have 500 watts. for endurance.
Read about the requirements for the dryer here Choosing an electric dryer - recommendations, what to look for when buying
Mila1
Thank you I understood it all, read it already, but there are still many questions I thought maybe someone has such a model and will be able to answer
Admin

Luda, well, the principle of operation of the dryer is the same for all models - drying time and temperature! And power!
And the rest, it needs to be adapted to each specific model.
TanyaTk
Girls, good evening. I choose drying. I hesitate between Veterok-2 and Isidri.
Isidri is insanely expensive for me, especially considering that I do not have my own garden / vegetable garden, all products / vegetables are purchased, that is, I will not dry a lot.
But in Veterka it is confusing that there is no pallet for the marshmallow. How do you get out of this situation? Covering with parchment? Do you smoke meat? Comes with a grease tray. Here's my question. If I smoke meat, where should I put this tray? Once I read one review, where the girl wrote that she put this pallet on the lower grate so that the juice from the fruit would accidentally drip onto the motor. And the drying hummed very strongly. And when she removed this tray for fat, it stopped buzzing. So my question is: where to put this tray? And if the berries are fleshy, won't the engine be filled with juice? I also read that the trays must be changed constantly, that is, I cannot leave the drying to work overnight?
Answer please. Thank you
Mila1
TanyaTk, the meat is probably not smoked but dried? I haven't dried the meat yet, not yet. Dried, strawberries, cherries, apricots. Everything is fine, nothing dripped. Sometimes it is necessary to change places, but not as often as you imagine. At night I just make the temperature lower and everything lives quietly until the morning. The berry turned out to be wonderful!
TanyaTk
well, yes, smoke.

friends, help out !!! That year, we burned ten in the dryer, ordered ten, we made it to order, now there is another problem, a fan is lost somewhere, and my husband does not remember how he looks (((Please take a photo of the fan !!! Very much I beg !! And then for the second year our huge family (we have 7 children) will be left without dry stuff (((
Admin

I understand that they are jack of all trades, and there is a great desire for this - but I can buy a new dryer, albeit cheaper, but a new one, not a handicraft assembly.
After all, the dryer always works for a long time, and even at night, and there is no guarantee that a self-made assembly will not lead to a fire - and this is fraught with consequences.
Why take such a risk
yulyax
We do not have an artisanal assembly, the ten simply burned out, and while they were looking for where to get the ten, a fan was lost somewhere. Now there is a ten, not a fan, and I don't even understand what I need to look for (((maybe the children took them into toys, or I stuck somewhere without even knowing what it is ...
TanyaTk
good day. I received my dryer Veterok-2. Now I understand. Tell me, please, what if you buy trays for pastilles and nets from Isidrai for my dryer? Can? Suitable in diameter. In Isidrai, the diameter is smaller than in Veterka 2. That is, both the mesh and the tray will fit into the bottom of Veterka. Yes, there will be a little free space. But that's not a problem, right? Or I'm wrong? I don’t dare to buy at random, all of a sudden it’s impossible to do this for some reason, I Izidrai accessories are not cheap.
malipusa
Well, finally I chose Veterok 2, now I don't know where to buy ... I'm in Novosibirsk, maybe someone will tell me?

Good day! I bought Breeze2 in July. Experience, that is, a little. My onions dried for 3 days for 8-10 hours approximately. The ringed tomatoes of ladies' fingers also dried for three days. Quarters - generally keep quiet. We lay there for four days ... Is this normal? The humidity in the house is about 75%. Can the humidity of the house be affected strongly? I thought that everything should dry three times faster.
Apples, pears, too, for several days, with breaks overnight. And dad doesn't like them. Too plastic. He used to dry in the sun, over a gas stove. They were harder. How should it be? The juice is not squeezed out, okay? So it will be stored normally?
Admin
Nastya, why dry fruit and vegetables for 10 hours 3-4 days with a break? After all, while vegetables are in standby mode, they again pick up moisture from the air, become wet, and from the fact that they are not dried, they can wither and turn black.

Dry immediately! First, at a high T * until the fruits begin to wither, this leaves the moisture from the vegetables, and then T * must be reduced to medium and dried to the end.

Much has been written about this in our recipes - read and repeat
paramed1
Fantik, Anastasia, just removed 4 sheets of apple marshmallow from Veterok. Dried for 12 hours. Apples dry for 6-7 hours, tomatoes wither in quarters in 15-16, dry in circles for 6 to the state of chips. It looks like your heating element is out of order or the temperature controller.
