Milk porridge

Ingredients

oat flakes ~ 200 gr
sugar 2 tbsp. spoons
salt pinch
milk 2 liters

Cooking method

  • I really wanted to cook milk porridge in a slow cooker. Well, I heard what they are cooking, but I have not found any advice and an algorithm for preparing milk in a slow cooker. Of course, she might be looking badly, although it seems not ... I cooked at my own peril and risk, I was very worried. It turned out great.
  • Well, for people like me, who are badly looking for and cannot find, I am talking about my milk porridge.
  • I chose oatmeal as a sample. I will try all the rest over time and tell you.
  • We take the same dosages as for the stove. But since I had already forgotten what it is to cook on the stove and what is oatmeal, I had to invent it on the go.
  • We do not take instant oatmeal. We put it in a bowl, sprinkle with sugar and salt on top. We fill all this with milk. You can add a little butter. Cover with a lid, turn on the mode and go to sleep. In the morning we get a wonderful milk oatmeal. Never escaped, and even without the taste of baked milk (I don't like porridge with baked milk).
  • I cooked in AUTO mode (brings to a boil in HI mode and switches to LOW mode). But I think you can just cook at the LOU calmly. In time it turned out about 10 hours, all night.
  • I usually cook for a large family, because such dosages. Reduce and cook for health! The porridge turns out to be moderately thick, the spoon is not worth it.

The dish is designed for

2 adults + 3 children

Time for preparing:

10 hours

Cooking program:

So you have taken one more step to the "smart" home.
Looking ahead, we can assume that in the near future there will be a kind of Super slow cooker, where you put the necessary products per week / month, set the program, and, lo and behold, the device will measure everything itself, mix and prepare it for the appointed day and hour. It would also be nice if this device was loaded from the refrigerator itself, cleaned and beep when you go to the store for groceries and take out the trash.
Then it will not be necessary to marry!

Think interestingly, a wife is needed exclusively for cooking. You really better not get married

Can you please tell me whether flakes that need to be cooked for 20-25 minutes are considered instant flakes or not? ))
Svettika
Svetlana, no. Instant flakes are cooked for 1-5 minutes.
Lisichkalal

Fields, thanks for the recipe!
I'm doing it for the second time! It turns out very tasty.
I grease the sides of the bowl with butter, pour 1 liter of cold milk, 100 grams of o. flakes and at low hours 7-8. I don't add sugar and salt.
After I remove the hard brown foam, I don't like it. I mix the porridge and that's it!
It turns out to be a very beautiful creamy color. And sooo delicious. I eat with condensed milk.

And I warm up an empty appliance, boil the milk on the stove, because then it will not be able to boil, I add the oatmeal to the desired thickness, pour everything into a slow cooker, cover and only 3 hours on low setting. I put butter and sugar in the finished porridge.
It turns out something like a cream, very little foam, melted color, delicious taste. In the summer I put it in the refrigerator and enjoy myself with pleasure, almost like a dessert. It's just that in 7-8 hours the milk sometimes begins to sour, so I shorten the cooking time so much
Lisichkalal
Very interesting, next time you need to try to cook like this.
