Ingredients

for one large and two small trees:
flour 2 cups (200 ml)
salt pinch
baking powder 1 tsp
butter at room temperature 100 g
powdered sugar 100 g
natural honey (heat to warm) 2.5 tbsp. l.
yolk 2
ground ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg / spice bouquet can be made to your liking / 1/2 tsp.
lemon peel 1 tsp
White chocolate 200 gr.
some ground pistachios

Cooking method

  • I cut 12 eight-pointed stars out of cardboard, reducing each by a couple of millimeters.
  • for small Christmas trees, I used flower-shaped cookie cutters.
  • from these ingredients, I kneaded the dough, if the dough is difficult to collect, you can add 1 or a little more tablespoon of cold / ice / water.
  • Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for an hour and a half.
  • roll out the dough (I rolled it out in parts for each star on baking paper) and cut out all 12 stars according to the template, place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  • bake in an oven preheated to 175 "for about 10-12 minutes. until golden brown.
  • cover with chocolate melted in a steam bath and combine.
  • garnish with small caramel or decorative food beads, sprinkle with ground pistachios.
  • I baked a cookie from the remains of the dough.
  • in one of the trees, I tinted the chocolate with cherry syrup, it turned out to be a pinkish Christmas tree.

Note

it will be very interesting to cook these trees with the kids !!!
