Ingredients

Cooking method

  • I use only barrel salting herring, I like it more for the taste and firmness of the pulp. Cut the fish into fillets, then cut into oblong pieces.
  • Coarsely chop arugula salad and mint leaves, you can tear with your hands.
  • Cut the avocado and apple into small cubes.
  • Cut the shallots into thin rings.
  • In the salad, you can use salted or pickled hot peppers, such peppers are even less evil and pleasant in taste, less noticeable in the salad for their pungency.
  • Cut all components, mix in a salad bowl, pour oil to taste, salt to taste, mix gently.
  • We collect the salad:
  • Put the culinary ring in a salad bowl, put slices of herring on the bottom, a row of ready-made salad, again a layer of herring in slices, a row of salad.
  • We press down on the structure with a salad plate (spoon), remove the ring to make a neat salad slide-pyramid. Put several pieces of herring on top of the salad.
  • Salad ready! Serving to the table!

I never thought that the presence of avocado and herring in the salad at the same time would make friends with each other!

But they made friends!

The recipe itself may be good, but the decoration when serving (see the photo) is made in such a way that hardly anyone will manage to feast on this dish without scattering the pieces on the table.
If it were all sealed with jelly or, in extreme cases, with thick mayonnaise, hardened in the refrigerator, then there would be no questions, although the plate is still clearly too small!

Mayonnaise will not work here! Too fatty and full-bodied product and will overwhelm the light taste of avocado and apple with mint. Yes, and herring with mayonnaise ... this is not our taste!
