Ingredients

Oranges 890 g-3pcs
Sugar 500g
Zhelfix 1: 1 1 package
Lemon 2 pcs

Cooking method

  • The oranges were thoroughly washed with a baking soda brush. I pierced the skin, rinsed it with boiling water and poured it over with cold water. I left it for 3 days. I changed the water every 8 hours.
  • Soaked the oranges, took off the zest from them, peeled off the white pulp. Cut the zest into strips, slices oranges. Then each circle into 6-8 parts and removed the film from them.
  • Peeled oranges weighed 670 g. I put them in a saucepan, covered them with sugar and squeezed out the juice of 2 lemons (about 70 g). I left it for 12 hours.
  • The next day, put on fire and boiled for 30 minutes, on a slow boil, until the white foam stopped.
  • At the end, I added a package of Zhelfix, probably in its entirety. could have put less and boiled for another 5 minutes.
  • Chopped in a blender, removing part of the zest first.

Note

The result is a wonderful jam, not cloying, not very sweet, thick.
