Ingredients

Dry green peas ("Mistral") 150 gr.
Fresh peas (frozen) 200 gr.
Broth (I have a vegetable) 800 ml.
Leek (green part) from 1 pc.
Garlic 1 clove
Rust oil 2 tbsp. l.
Cream (optional) 100 ml.
Sour cream 100 g
Pepper
Nutmeg
Salt
Toast

Cooking method

  • This soup is simple, I have been cooking it a long time ago and have already forgotten what a pleasant surprise the combination of dry and fresh peas turned out to be, not only aesthetically, but also for the taste buds. And recently an old friend was visiting me, who for the first time in our entire acquaintance tried this soup. And she just demanded the recipe! I thought - what if it will be pleasant for some of you to get acquainted with this recipe.
  • So:
  • Soak dry green peas (I buy Mistralovsky) in 400 ml of broth overnight.
  • The next day, peel the onion and garlic, chop finely and simmer in oil.
  • Add the remaining broth, sautéed onion and garlic to the softened peas, and cook until the peas are tender, about 30 minutes.
  • Add frozen peas and simmer for another 10 minutes, then beat everything (except for a few peas - for decoration) in mashed potatoes in a blender-mixer (in extreme cases, rub the peas through a sieve).
  • Return the puree soup to the pan, add salt, freshly ground peppers and nutmeg. At this stage, cream is added, but I do it very rarely - the taste is already rich, nourishing (vegetable protein, after all ...). Bring soup to a boil and serve with sour cream, sprinkle with peas and croutons.

The soup is wonderful. I cooked lean. without cream and sour cream, but added "for the company" and yellow "Mistral" split peas. The soup only benefited from the abundance of all kinds of peas, it seems to me. Tasty, very ... I made this soup yesterday. I also added a little yellow split peas. I didn’t blender, I just pounded it with a crush. It was strange how it was soup without potatoes. Added. I made my husband separately - I added frozen broth with meat there.
But I did not expect such satiety from the lean soup !!! After 6 (!!!!!) hours I just wanted to eat. And I like to eat, though little by little, but more often.
And yes, the potatoes there were so superfluous (they did not push them) that they had to be shoveled to the side. The husband also agreed that she was not needed there.
