Ingredients

Cakes
Walnuts 500g (180 pcs)
Chicken egg proteins 8 pcs
Sugar 1 stack. (250ml)
Baking powder 1 tsp
Cream
Yolks 6 pcs.
Powdered sugar 1 glass (250ml)
Butter 250g
Cold boiled water 1 tbsp. lodges
Chocolate or cocoa
Liquor 1 tbsp. lodges

Cooking method

  • The most important thing when preparing crumpets is to hold each piece of nuts in your hands, do not let the nut partitions get into the nut mass !!!! Otherwise, the cake will be hopelessly spoiled.
  • Pass the nuts through a meat grinder (exactly! We need crushed nuts!).
  • Beat whites and sugar, add baking powder.
  • Mix nuts with egg mass.
  • Bake on baking paper on a standard baking sheet.
  • Put in a hot oven on a medium level. Bake over medium heat and slightly below medium.
  • The donut will rise. DO NOT overdry! It should be soft, springy under the finger and stick to it a little! Experience, only experience !!! Can't help you see for yourself ...
  • Cut the hot crumpet into 3 equal parts while still hot. Remove carefully from the baking sheet. Let it cool.
  • At this time, we make a cream.
  • Beat soft butter with powdered sugar, add 1 tbsp. l. cold boiled water for the best result (you understand that the oil is of the highest quality and freshness!)
  • Add the yolks. Beat until light, homogeneous consistency!
  • You can add liqueur and melted, chilled chocolate or cocoa powder. You will get a delicious cream, which we coat the cakes with.
  • Decorate at your own discretion! I sprinkle with finely crushed walnuts. This cake is so self-sufficient that, in my opinion, it does not require any more tricks.
  • The "Senator" cake is soaked at room temperature for several hours. Store in a sealed box in the cold.

The most delicious cake on the New Year's table is "Senator"! I have been baking it for 30 years already! I bake only half a portion, sacredly observing the commandment - Good little by little! The recipe is given for 1/2 portion.

Small but tasty and sooooo high in calories! I cut the pieces from the matchbox, I can't beat it anymore! But an hour later I want to drink tea and coffee with the Senator again!
I am immensely happy that someone will discover this recipe for themselves, bake and love Senator cake, as they love it in our family!
