How large is your measuring cup (cup)?

Dear fellow bakers and moderators! How big is your measuring cup (cup)?

I invite everyone in this topic to answer the question "How big is the measuring cup (cup) in your bread machine?"
Quite often in recipes, the authors do not indicate the size of the measuring cup, which makes it difficult to correctly translate the ingredients from measuring cups into grams and milliliters, and this causes frequent questions from our bakers, especially beginners. There is no such information in the user profile.

Therefore, I appeal to everyone with a request:

How big is your measuring cup (cup)? Just indicate the model of your bread machine and the volume of the measuring cup (cup), I will collect all the information and make a reference table for general use.
Go...How big is your measuring cup (cup)?

I can't see your glass Try to check the volume yourself with a regular glass, another measuring glass.

Please tell me the amount of flour indicated, is it sifted flour or not?

This is the amount of flour required to bake bread!
First, you need to measure (weigh) the required amount of flour, and only then sift it into a bowl or into a bucket / oven.
Why do this, read here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=35.0

Bork BM500 last mark 200 ml, full under knife 240 ml.

If there is no glass (cup), buy in the household. store a regular measuring cup with graduations, a volume of 250 ml. and use it calmly. This volume is quite enough for a x / stove.

Take recipes from the forum.

Bork BM500
thanks, but I have a different bread maker: bork x500 and the recipe book contains ingredients for 750 g or 900 g loaves, i.e. 3 measuring cups or 4 measuring cups, so how to figure out how much it is in grams if there is no measuring cup?
Admin
As a rule, one model x / stove has the same cups in volume.

Then let's go by:
- for bread weighing 900 grams, you need about 600 grams of flour.
- this is according to the recipe book 4 cups of wheat flour
- one cup includes (600: 4 = 150)
- one cup of flour contains 150 grams of flour - this means a cup of about 200/250 ml.

This is what I gave you "Bork BM500 at the last mark 200 ml., Full under the knife 240 ml."

Use the recipes from the forum, they are all tested, and you can always ask for comment and help. The amount of flour and other ingredients for making bread of various sizes

And carefully read the contents of the section "CONTENTS OF THE SECTION" BASES OF KNOCKING AND BAKING "" link above - all questions and answers are there

white flour - 2 measuring cups,

buy a scale, a regular measuring cup and use the recipes from this site, or find owners of HP similar to yours, they will explain.
Is there no information on the Internet? You can try to call the manufacturer.

The easiest way to get started is to measure the volume of your cup. Pour water and pour into a measuring cup.

how much flour to put?

Here is just a big question about the recipe and for flour and water... Quantity discrepancy.

I recommend using the reference material on the forum:

Judging by this recipe, no more than 240 ml cup.
For 140 ml of water, you need 230-260 g of flour.

lopyshok,
1.If you have a balance, you can very accurate determine the volume of any (!) vessel.
Weigh the water in a bowl. The mass of water in grams is equal to the volume of the container in ml. only for water !!!
2. Weigh the flour in the amount of 2 of your measuring cups - get the prescribed mass of the recipe. Logically, it should be around 240 g. Get about 450 g of dough.
3. Be sure to read thisso that the first pancake the bread did not come out lumpy! Newbies are lucky, so the recipe's flour / water ratio may accidentally match your flour perfectly. But you may not be lucky! Better to be ready.
Good luck!

Aaaa, it is clear. Finally, the producers are certainly surprising. In my opinion, it is extremely unprofessional to print recipes in the format "half a spoon of one, a glass of that, etc." Elementary, someone has a glass of flour - faceted under the knife, and someone has 300 grams with a mountain so decent. They would write everything at once in grams, so the scales, that is, in every house where the bread machine lives
