margarine 250 g
powdered sugar 150 g
egg 1 PC
baking powder 6 g
yeast 10 g
milk 3 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • We put a little yeast in warm milk, the main thing is to soak. We prepare the dough according to the shortbread principle (chop the margarine with flour and then add the rest of the ingredients). Form into a long sausage - divide into 4 parts and let it rest for 15 minutes. On spread with margarine and sprinkled with flour on a large spread, bake 4 cakes, rolled with a rolling pin until light golden brown, one after the other, for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven until 170-175 C. The cakes are brittle.
  • While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cream: knead the flour without lumps, gradually adding half of the milk. Caramellize the sugar over low heat, making sure that it does not burn out - the taste will become bitter. When it has acquired a beautiful golden color, fill it with the remaining milk and wait with patience until the caramel melts in hot milk. When melted, constantly stirring, add flour dressing and cook until thickened.
  • When it's cold, combine with a whipped mixer with butter and powdered sugar.
  • Spread cream on the cakes and let them soften.
  • We will carefully cut off the outskirts. Serve in long pieces and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

On my own behalf, I want to add that I baked on parchment paper without smearing anything. The cakes are really very fragile (you need to be careful with them)
I added less powdered sugar to the cream than indicated, because it turned out to be very sweet for me.
It was these cakes that became the basis of my caviar sandwiches, which so interested the respected Basju
I also forgot to say that when adding milk to caramel, it is better to stir the caramel intensively, so everything will dissolve faster!
