Mom's cookies

Ingredients

Homemade sour cream 300 g
Eggs 4 things.
Sugar 1 glass
Salt pinch
Wheat flour 1 kg
Baking powder (baking powder) 10-12 g.
Vanillin or vanilla sugar 1 pack

Cooking method

  • Quickly knead elastic dough from the ingredients, do not delay the process. Start cutting right away. Cut off about 1/4 of the cake and roll it into a flat cake about 7-10 mm thick, cover the cookies with notches. My daughter and I wanted to try new notches, so we made like Linets cookies with a filling and rolled out the dough thinly (about 5 mm).
  • Mom's cookies When rolling the flatbread, we usually sprinkle sugar with sugar, slightly rolling it into the dough, I sometimes add a little cinnamon to the sugar. If we are talking about aromas, then sometimes I add lemon or orange zest to the dough, but it's great to add 1-2 tsp. dry lavender flowers! Bake at a temperature of 200-220 ° C for 7-10 minutes, until they begin to emit a pleasant smell of baked dough, do not blush too much, become dryish, and they should remain soft.

Note

This recipe is simple. This is probably how they bake in every family. But I love him already because it is MOM'S RECIPE, and under this name it has been passed down from generation to generation countless times! This is how my mother's grandmother baked, and she learned from HER mother and I from OWN. Here's a "vanilla" theme. As for the recipe itself, it is allowed to adjust it depending on what you have in the refrigerator today. For example, if there is no homemade sour cream, you can take a store sour cream, then you need to add butter to the dough (you can even margarine or lard). Instead of sour cream, even any sour milk drink will go - yogurt, kefir, etc., but do not forget to add fat! It seems to me that they are even softer on kefir. If anyone wants to bake, bon appetit!

Irish, thanks for the nostalgic cookie! Indeed, my mother's ... I think in every family it is exactly "Mom's".

A store fat will do, can you not add oil then?

Svetlana, if you find sour cream with a fat content of 40% or more in the store. If less, it is better to add 100-150 grams of butter or good margarine. Recently I have been baking everything only in butter.
Bon Appetit!

My son and I made such cookies ... not quite according to the recipe ... or rather, not at all according to the recipe ... only an idea remained ... in general, from what they found in the refrigerator
240 sour cream (20 and 30%), 500 flour, 2 eggs, 1 tsp baking powder, 190 homemade vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt.
It turned out - rather dry ... to the author without pritenzy ... there was an idea to add butter, but then she left ... but in vain. The dough was puffing normal, but not greasy ... it seems to me that it should shine a little from fat ...
Divided into 4 parts and made four types of cookies - just like that, with raisins, seeds, walnuts.
It turned out such a plate of cookies

DenRassk, you have wonderful cookies !!! Of course, without butter, on low-fat sour cream it will be a little bit post ... But, I sometimes do this too, when I want to crunch something like a crouton!
