With the beginning of us, Hurray! And now about the graters. Girls, please, who used the combichipser? As for the hand in terms of ease of sliding - it is easier to use a 10 mm combichipser, for example, or a 10 mm insert to the basic set. I know that there is also a 5 mm size in the combichipser, for the sake of it I will take it. And if it is easier to cut with a 10 mm insert to the main set (Trend), then I will buy it, and if it is the same, then I will buy only a combichipser.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Finally I got it today. A stub to the Trend. Usyo stands up well in both positions. I haven't cut yet. But I think it will be great. To want more of this, and then, perhaps, buy from uncle Berner

Our plug-in regiment has arrived, hurray! Congratulations! I use this insert more often than the other two standard ones. You can even say that I use it almost all the time. And then somehow the thinnest is only for chips and is good, the thickest is good for eggplant and zucchini for frying, or make a vegetable plate from cucumbers-tomatoes. And on this one I also fry potatoes - I like thin (but not transparent, as on thin) slices, and onions with rings and half rings for frying, and cabbage in a salad, and cucumbers there with rings and half rings. Really like. At first, however, it was somehow very tight in comparison with the knifeless insert removed from the Trend when it was placed for cutting. When it stands, like a plug, it can be removed easily, but it’s so difficult, I’ll push it anyway, and so, it worked out with difficulty. But now you can see whether she found where to pull or she got used to it, so more or less. And so I'm just happy that I have it.
So once again with a purchase!

Now it's time for salads and I really liked chic cucumbers-tomatoes for 10-ke. Just the handy sticks come out and cut quickly.

Alena, do you happen to have a combichipser? And then I want to buy and ask, no one answers - what is the easier way to cut 10 mm blocks - on an insert such as yours 10 mm or on a combichipser.
lesik_l
The combo, it seems, duplicates the functions of the main vegetable cutter - I don't see the need to purchase it. I just want a waffle for Prima, the rest is not needed.

Yes, but it duplicates only 10 mm, and then, in the main set (I have a Trend) it is not there, + to this there is also a 5 mm size, an average between 3.5 and 7 of the main set. So after purchasing the insert, we add one size, and the combi-tip we add 2 sizes. In principle, I can do without 5 mm (although my husband really needs it), I need 10 mm for potatoes in soups, roasts, stews. The question is - the easier it is for the hand to rub, then I would take it. But apparently we don't have a fighter who would have both. Everything is learned by comparison. And I'm so stubborn, if I don't find the answer anywhere, I'll buy both devices, shob bulo.

Mon, and you buy kombichipser, all the same, after all, I soaped up (as a gift to my husband). If it turns out that at the maximum it cuts with tension - buy 10 more.
Oops, I wrote, and then I thought: you’re probably going to order by parcel? And to pay twice for the shipment is not comme il faut
Well then, just take the combichipser, and do not suffer! Why should it suddenly be harder to plan on it than on the insert? I think it's the same. So order and do not suffer. Apparently there is no one with these two devices. Although Dopleta seems to have everything, as in Greece. You knock on her PM, ask around.

Monka, thanks again for the plug! I don’t know about the others, but I haven’t heard of her.

I have the ten most demanded. I cut her potatoes for her soup, salads, and mushrooms.
And 5 mm - something neither here nor there, 7 - if you need larger, 3.5 - if smaller.

That's what they told me in Burner. Therefore, I bought only the V5-Power, a bowl for it, a Korean carrot grater and a waffle. I looked at the rest of the nozzles and realized that that guy from Berner was absolutely right.
azaza
Yes, here I also have 4.5 and 5 neither here nor there. I do not use the 7th one very often. 3.5 is constantly in use, and 10 is waiting for its finest hour - I have it for blanks for freezing, and so on, in a stew. That would be another, say, 12 or 15 - I would take it with pleasure! Sometimes you need larger pieces. But 10 is also good.

Believe it or not, I typed in the search engine about the combichipser, climbed a bit on the sites and on one forum, I was just about my question. There, one lady also asks which is better - a 10 mm insert or a combichipser. And another lady, who is engaged in demonstration of Borner teeters, writes this. I will write a quote from there, suddenly someone is interested in it:
"Well, to be honest, when we cut vegetables for demonstration, we only used the set, and the chipser only showed that there is such an object that performs the functions of knife inserts, during the year that I worked, I cut it on the chipser only a few times. We did not cut it with the chipser. it is not very convenient to use (for me personally, although we were taught that B. does not have inconvenient graters). And a little retreating I will say that there is still a slicer, so it is not just inconvenient, but impossible. The one that is better still insert 10 mm - and cheaper convenient."
Here it is. So I changed my mind while taking it.

Well, right! The husband will have to be content with 3.5 carrots. As for me, it is the most suitable for pilaf. So tell him: everyone likes it! So let him get used to it
Keep track of it yourself - you see, someday 4.5 mm will appear on our market. That will be his joy

You know, laughter and sin, I forbade him to touch the graters. He makes pilaf with us. And he cut a mountain of carrots each time with cubes on that Chinese grater with replaceable inserts for 15 UAH, stupid, stupid, a photo of which I posted and which you advised to throw out. She slipped him some rock to ease his fate. But I heard such a terrible sound from the kitchen, I went to look - and he took a huge, dried carrot and, with such an anguish and pressure, tormented poor Roko that I just felt right on myself that it (the grater) was in pain. She snatched it, heart-felt, from the clutches of a vandal, handed him a Chinese one. As they say - a hat according to Senka. Now I only rub with graters, I don't let him. Although, speaking between us girls, if he found out how much it all costs, he would not let me near the graters either.
azaza

Not that I don't let mine in, but I warn you in an amicable way that he will be able to touch the grater only after a long conversation on the safety rules when working with Berner. Well, after such a warning of mine, he is not very close to my graters and stretches
And he didn't need them. I spoil him today. For 27 years he spoiled me, I practically did not go into the kitchen, and now my conscience woke up and I decided to thank him with the same makar. So now he is not a Chukchi cook, he is now a Chukchi-eater
I am now tormented by the question of otkivaniya children. The first reaction was "Of course Berner!" And now I look in the direction of some Niceser. Now a super-duper device has appeared (for a stunning price, shtob it!) I'm afraid of child's pens. Now, if I cut myself - and figs with him (mmm, God forbid !!!). But I will survive. But the child ... No, she doesn't need Berner. I'll look for something not so sharp.

And I will speak out in defense of the combislicer. If the aunt of that pen grows a little from the wrong place, then there is nothing to work in the showroom. I'm not saying that a slicer is really needed or must be in the kitchen of every housewife (I repeat - I had it before Prima), so I only cut potatoes for frying on it, much more convenient, twice as fast (a double-edged knife, which allows cut with each up and down movement.
And I am not encouraging anyone to buy it. Let it duplicate the cut - but you can't say that it is inconvenient or impossible.
And let that aunt study better, since she is engaged in such a responsible matter as demonstrating graters.

By the way, Mona, maybe the opinion of that aunt about the combichipser is the same - well, hook hands are not from there, so she is uncomfortable. And you would

I bought a Philips razor for my father last year as a present. I also read reviews, it turned out 50x50. Someone wrote that after shaving, he bakes physicality, irritation, others praised. I also hesitated at first. And then I took it and bought it. And what can I tell you: dad is delighted with that razor, there was no irritation, by God, never, very pleased with the razor.
This is what I mean: everything is individual. What is convenient for one is not for the other. And you will find out if it is convenient for you - as you try it yourself.

I will note that I am now also with Berner, I am silent, because there is no time to try this device completely. Well, I kind of made friends with the main frame. I didn't immediately understand why I have large leftovers, but then, when I was cutting quickly, without stopping, there were practically no leftovers. Also, it was not immediately possible to push the vegetable with a button on the fruit holder smoothly, but I also did it. Sudok seems to be convenient, but has not yet completely fused with it.

But the waffle blew my brain. Just wavy pieces are obtained, but how to make a lattice?

Wavy circles are obtained by holding the vegetable in one direction all the time (as we usually cut vegetables). In order to get a lattice, you first need to put the insert on the "lattice" mark (on the Classic it is the upper mark in the right corner), and with each downward movement, turn the fruit holder with the cut product at an angle of 45 ° either in one direction or in the other.
I hope I explained it clearly. In fact, everything is easy, it is more difficult to explain in words than to show in practice. Watch Berner's videos, there is this moment.

Thank you, I understand what it is about! Why then are there two marks, notches on a grater? Just a drawing near one type of wave, and near another - a lattice, I, stupid, thought that when you move the insert to one of them, you get waffles)))

Two markings are for two sizes of wave circles. That is, if you hold the fruit holder straight, you will get only corrugated plates. And on the upper size, lattices can turn out - provided that with each downward movement the position of the fruit holder is changed.

What mistakes did all newbies have? Can you read in 2 words so that I avoid?
Well, I can hardly retell the content of the first volume in a nutshell.
The biggest mistake is working without a fruit holder.
Another important point is to insert the inserts BEFORE THE CLICK. In the Trend, for example, the 3.5 mm insert is fixed after a rather serious application of force, the rest fit into the grooves without problems. Unless the plug still walks a little for the first time, but literally after a couple of manipulations it gets into the grooves confidently.
This is actually the most important thing. If you have Prima, there may be some confusion with cubes. But the principle there is absolutely the same as with the grate on a waffle grater, so that's okay too.

Where there is a type of wave, this is to make spirals, if you succeed. It didn't work out for me, though I tried everything once.It is necessary to rub the wavy plates on it first, then collect them in a pile, insert this pile into the fruit holder so that the cuts between the plastic are perpendicular to the arrows on the fruit holder and rub. And it should turn out, as it were, such figured-spiral bars. Everything began to fall out of the holder, I had to shove more in there, otherwise it could not resist.

Yes, I am already ripe, no money yet. It's my birthday in July, then I'll buy Carlos, and an insert of 10 mm, and another box for inserts, since it's cheap, there will be two. I know what I thought - this box, of course, fits a knifeless one and two with knives, but when I pull it out with knives, they clink all the time, cling slightly. It annoys me. And if there are 2 boxes, then you can hold in one, for example, 3.5 mm and 7 mm, and in the other 10 mm and without a knife. I will glue both boxes with double-sided tape into one. And the inserts will be comfortable there and it is easy for me to stick it in and out without stress. And there, maybe an insert 4.5 will appear, or they will invent some one, then it will be possible to add it to the box.
azaza
You think correctly. I'm also thinking about a second boxing. I still have 10 in my own box, because with it you can put only one in the box, but not two. I have 3.5 and 7 barely fit with a knifeless one. And in order not to scratch, each time you first have to take out the knifeless one, and only then the needed one. Accordingly, and vice versa. It turns out as in the famous miniature:
- Why did you kill the woman?
- Yes, you know, she sat next to me on the bus, bag on her lap. The conductor is coming. She opened a large bag, pulled out a small one. She closed the bag. She opened the small one, took out her wallet, closed the bag. She opened the wallet, pulled out the money, closed the wallet. She opened her purse, put down her purse, closed her purse. She opened a large bag, put a small one in it, closed the bag.
- So why did you kill it ?!
- And then the conductor gave her change, and she again reached for her purse ...

In short, we must take the second box, you are right

It's a shame that it doesn't fit into a multibox. Here in the Pro model, which is metal, this plug is included in the kit, and the Profi is a copy of the Trend, only in metal. I think that multibox for the Pro would probably suit you, this stub is taken into account there. Of course, it is unlikely that you will buy another multibox, but I wrote this for those who are just deciding on the purchase of Borner teeters and bells and whistles for them. And Azaz and I didn't buy this multibox. Everything is stored differently with us. She has a set in a basket and all additional graters are folded, I have in a small plastic square bucket. We posted the photos in the first part of the thread. Very comfortably. And the inserts, as we wrote above, in a box for 3 inserts. It costs a penny - around UAH 30-35.
azaza
You can say more about inserts and multiboxes. For some reason, the Multibox for Trend is the most expensive. And, as it turned out, the main frame with a plug is practically not included in it. In my opinion, the flaw is significant. If so, then it is really better to buy two boxes for 30 UAH plus a cap - then the inserts will be placed conveniently and safely, and the base itself can be stored without any drawers - with the cap there will be no danger of cutting or damaging the blades.

Yes, the Trend itself with a plug can be stored as you like - in any drawer, shelf, just put it on the kitchen cabinet, leaning against the wall. Even before buying my bucket (like a "multi-box") I even considered the option - to carefully make a hole on top and hang it on a hook on the wall. It is a pity that Borner did not foresee this possibility. This hole on the rubbing ability of the grater would not affect in any way. Only that the hand did not rise to pick a new thing. Although there is an experience of picking a new thing (I somehow picked a new yoghurt maker in order to put a thermostat in there, I described this act in a thread about yogurt makers). But after buying a bucket, this idea disappeared.
