Fish in pots

Ingredients

Fish
Carrot 1 PC.
Potatoes 4 things.
Bulb onions 2 pcs.
Lecho jar 0.5 l
or bell pepper + tomato 2 pcs. average size + 3 pcs. time. size
Cream 120 ml
Sour cream 6 tbsp. l.
Cheese 100 g
Salt
Fennel seeds 3 tsp
Young garlic 3 tooth.

Cooking method

  • Sometimes it is pleasant to cook lunch or dinner in accordance with national traditions. Such gatherings are especially popular with our children, who are difficult to persuade to eat a piece of fish. And from a clay pot, and a wooden spoon? For both cheeks!
  • So, let's start:
  • • Wash the fish, peel, cut into pieces and put on the bottom of the pots, pepper with ground pepper, sprinkle with fennel seeds. I took shrimp fish - it turns out very tender. In general, you can do whatever you like.
  • Fish in pots
  • • Cut potatoes into slices and place in pots on top of fish.
  • • Cut carrots into thin slices and place in the next layer in pots.
  • Fish in pots
  • • With the next layer, spread the lecho together with the sauce in each pot or coarsely chop the peppers and tomatoes and place them on the carrot layer.
  • Fish in pots
  • • Cut the onion into rings and lay in the next layer.
  • Fish in pots
  • • Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle with a thick top layer.
  • Fish in pots
  • • Pour the cream into each pot.
  • • In each pot put on art. l. sour cream mixed with garlic crushed with salt.
  • Fish in pots
  • • Place the pots on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
  • Fish in pots
  • We serve in pots hot and with black bread (well, we all know and know how to bake bread here!)

Mmm! So tasty! : yes: What kind of fish is better to take? Fatty or dry (like pink salmon)?
Ilona
Both will do. But I would not take especially fatty ones. All will be dispersed, it is better to fry it dry.
MariV
Perfectly!
Otherwise, we threw away our clay pots, and everything turns out very tasty in them!

That's for sure! I even had to get spoons from the mezzanine (the small one demanded that everything would be like in the old days! Well, what they could pick out, the rest should be looked for in the dacha in the attic)

Girls, what if this fish is made in a slow cooker? Is there a ceramic pot there too?
Ilona
I don't have a slow cooker, but I did it in a slow cooker - it also turns out very tasty, but you won't get such a historical and aesthetic pleasure (as if you came into contact with our ancestors), alas ... And sometimes you really want it ...

And besides, in a pot it is served in portions)

Thank you! It's just that I have potted pots. They have a convex bottom to such an extent that it does not work out evenly and naturally there is little at the exit. I use them purely for the interior. I still can't get out to buy new ones ...
MariV
I did it in MV and in a pressure cooker - it tastes better in pots!
Ilona
Well ... then get to the right store as soon as possible

Thank you! I visit shops with pots, but I buy something else.
And I also seem to make fish just in a pan, but without potatoes and cheese! I just lay it in layers on a frying pan, Salt layers and pepper and cover it with a lid and on the smallest fire. It turns out a fish with vegetables in its juice. Very yum too!

But I want to ask Batey the Don recipe for everything in a more precise way (yes, I forget to write down all the subtleties), as my grandmother did. There are 2 ways and both are awesome - tastier, I haven't tried it yet!

Yes, Natasha, the appetite is guaranteed! Moreover, for several days, since my youngest has been trying to adapt a wooden spoon to all dishes for the 5th day
alinkavas
Tell me please! Can I use river fish like carp? I will be very grateful for the answer.
Ilona
alinkavas, I am glad to welcome you to our forum! You can use any fish, but you need to be prepared for the fact that there are a lot more bones in the river (so that there would be no surprises for you later)
MariS
What a wonderful recipeIlona! And almost everyone has pots, they stand on the shelves (or in the mezzanines) collecting dust ... It's great to remember our traditions again! The whole family, but at the round table - decorously, important!
Thank you, Ilona - a very appetizing fish, bookmarked it.
Ilona
Marina, eat with the whole family for good health! In general, in the modern hectic world, there are so few gatherings in the family circle, in a simple way, with boiled potatoes in their uniforms (as my great-grandmother called her "in pants") and with salt and onion feathers, with freshly baked bread! All! nothing else is needed! Eh, I'll go to the Bath in the village beyond Tver ... and even put the samovar, mmm ... and bake the same pots in the stove!

... And bake some bread in the oven! Great! Away from the bustle of the city - closer to nature. And it's also good when they are waiting for you somewhere!
Ilona
Aha !!! only there is no bread to bake in the oven, alas ...
MariS
Ilona! Accept the report.
Today I cooked Murmansk cod in pots. How delicious it was !!! Here I managed to make a photo session with one remaining portion.
Very fast and easy. And what a scent stood. She took the fennel seeds to the dacha, sprinkled them with Provencal herbs - very aromatic and tasty. Thank you!

That I forgot about the recipe ..

So after all, I myself noticed it a year ago (see the post above).
Now I will cook like this for a long, long time, until I try every fish in this performance properly. Ilona, !
For the information of everyone who wants to try - on the second day (if, of course, that the thread remains) the fish becomes even tastier, because it will be saturated with all the goodies! Eh, I want it again !!!
Ilona
And I always do it 2 times! What would have been something to warm up the next day!
