Finnish curd cheese cakes with apples

Ingredients

non-acidic creamy cottage cheese 200 g
milk 100 ml
Wheat flour 300-350 ml
baking powder 2 tsp
butter (melted) 50 ml
hard cheese 200 g
apple (large, sweet) 1 piece
ground black pepper 1/3 tsp
sugar 1-2 tsp

Cooking method

  • Grate the apple (can be replaced with carrots).
  • Mix flour with baking powder, salt, pepper and grated cheese.
  • Beat the curd lightly with milk, melted butter and sugar. Add the apple, stir.
  • Add flour to the curd mixture and quickly knead the dough (do not knead for a long time). Place the dough on a floured work surface (the dough is quite sticky) and divide into 6 pieces.
  • Roll out or shape each part of the dough into a circle with a thickness of a little more than 1 cm with your hands. Chop in several places with a fork and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Place in an oven preheated to 220o C and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve the tortillas warm.

The dish is designed for

6 pieces (I got 7)

Time for preparing:

30-40 minutes

Cooking program:

oven

Note

What is interesting in this recipe is flour in ML, for the first time I did not pay attention to it and poured it in grams, it turned out to be crumpets, and now it is salty-sweet cakes, namely cakes with apple flavor. My family liked it very, very much)))

Oh, what beauties !!!
Omela
SanechkaA how delicious !! As I understand it, the cakes are not sweet ??
Vasilica
What beautiful cakes! I read the note and wondered how to measure flour in milligrams. Or maybe all the same, at least approximately counted in grams (well, when next time you cook), it is too tempting cakes, so I want to try
SanechkaA
Girls, thanks a lot for the praise

Omela the cakes are not sweet, but due to the sweet apple and a little sugar, they are sweetish (sorry for the small pun)

Vasilika I will write an approximate calculation, about 195-228 g of flour
Omela
SanechkaA , understandably. And what kind of curd do you use ?? Which tube? And how much salt ??
SanechkaA
Omela I don't add salt to my taste, and sometimes I don't add it, I try the dough, there is usually enough salinity of the cheese, I think the cottage cheese in a tube will do, I can't clarify more, because I buy only farm 18% and it turns into a blender very easily pasty state, curd is not dry.
Omela
Everything is clear, thanks, boom to try!
benignity

SanechkaA
benignity it's great that you liked the cakes and everything worked out
Omela

Finnish curd cheese cakes with apples

Increased sugar, added raisins. The dough was very thin, although I added 250g of flour. Shaped with wet hands. Delicious!! Thanks for the recipe!
SanechkaA
Omela and thank you for a beautiful bright photo, cakes are like suns
Alex315
I will definitely try to make such, but perhaps without an apple, somehow I am indifferent to them ... I have a photo after cooking
SanechkaA
really looking forward to the result
