Ingredients

flour 1 cup and 1/4 cup
sugar 2 tbsp. l.
butter (magrarine for baking) 100 g
salt 0.5 tsp
For filling:
eggs 2 pcs.
oranges 3 pcs.
starch (preferably corn) 2 tbsp. l.
sugar 75 g

Cooking method

  • Shortbread dough sweet:
  • Mix flour (sift), salt and sugar. Rub chilled butter (baking margarine) into flour with salt and sugar, make a lump and put the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then evenly distribute the dough in the mold (only the bottom should be closed, the sides do not need to be done), this time I had a silicone mold (24 cm), but you can also take a detachable one.
  • Put the mold with the dough in a preheated 180 gr. oven, bake for about 10-12 minutes, the dough turns white and slightly browns around the edges.
  • Take out the mold and pour the filling on the cake, which is prepared during baking.
  • For filling: remove the zest from the oranges, set aside. Remove the remaining white skin (discard), do not clean the segments, grind the oranges with a blender. Separately, beat the eggs with sugar into a lush foam (adjust the sugar to taste, the amount depends on the sweetness of the oranges), gradually add the starch, zest and mix with the orange mass.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 180 gr. The soufflé of the finished cake in the middle will be fragile (but not liquid!), But as it cools, it will harden.
  • Remove the cake from the mold completely cooled down (as the soufflé cools down, it quietly moves away from the edges of the mold).
  • Decorate as desired (with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream).
  • This pie is especially tasty if you bake it in the evening and eat it the next day.

My undeservedly forgotten recipe) my sister brought a LOT of oranges, she didn't know where to use them.
Basically, orange pastry recipes only suggest the presence of zest in the pie, I had to use the pulp as well.
Finally, I remembered about the cake that I baked as a child, myself!) And it always worked out. I am sharing this recipe with you (the clipping seems to be from the magazine "Rabotnitsa").
