Ingredients

milk (water) 3/4 cup
dry yeast 1.5 tsp.

Cooking method

  • These cheese buns are soft and fragrant, just what you need for your morning coffee, but you can also go with borscht).
  • If the cheese is hard, then grate, if with a smearing consistency, then grate only the top crust. (You can freeze the cheese in the freezer for easier grating.) Grind the cheese with flour. Pour in salt, pour in vegetable oil.
  • Dissolve yeast in warm water or milk, adding sugar.
  • When foam begins to form, pour the yeast liquid into the flour and knead into a soft, non-sticky dough. Add a little flour or water if necessary. I added a clove of garlic and 1 tablespoon of mustard to part of the dough. The smell and taste have become even more interesting. Form 12 medium-sized balls from the dough and place them on a greased baking sheet. The top of the buns can be greased with an egg and sprinkled with sesame seeds or coarsely crushed sunflower seeds. Leave until the size of buns increases by 2 times.
  • Put in an oven preheated to t = 180 ~ 200 ° C until browning (it took me 20 minutes).
  • Grease the finished buns with butter. Cover with a towel and leave to "rest" for 30 ~ 60 minutes.

I found the recipe for buns on Good Cook, he was very interested in the presence of smoked cheese and met expectations, baked for the night - today he warmed up the buns for 10 seconds. at the microwave and my family enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
The author of the recipe suggests making buns with ONE proofing, if you use dry yeast marked "moment", I used fresh yeast and made the dough in the usual way in HP on the dough program (1, 5 hours), I just put everything in a bucket and voila, the dough is ready). But I also point out the author's recipe with my minor changes (dough with fresh yeast can be made by hand, in the usual way. And yet - my hand did not rise to pour 7 tablespoons of butter into 2.5 cups of flour. When kneading, I had to add 2 tbsp . l. flour).

Marina, if I translate it into grams, it will be very rough, since I baked exactly according to the recipe, where the proportions in the glasses are 250 ml, everything worked out great, when kneading the bun was rather unstable, but the buns did not "float".
