I bought a Scarlett pressure cooker (again, like with Scarlett's multicooker, I didn’t wait for detailed reviews and decided to take a chance). Now I am telling detailed impressions to those who have not yet decided to buy.
Scarlett SL-1529 pressure cooker (reviews)
This is my first pressure cooker, but there were no special questions, since I have been using multi-cookers for 2 years, the only question was about the pressure valve, but everything turned out to be quite simple, since everything is signed and even drawn on the SV body itself and in instructions.
The pressure cooker looks very solid: heavy, metal, no burrs and cracks on the case, very good, especially at a price of 529 UAH. Comparing it with Polaris 0105 (I twisted it several times in my hands, but did not dare to buy it), I can say that Scarlett is much more solid. Polaris seemed to me too thin-walled and unreliable for a pressure cooker, so I didn't buy it, although I liked its steel and white design more than Scarlett's steel and black design.
The open cover is not fixed on the body; there is a removable insert and a removable silicone O-ring. In general, an ordinary pressure cooker, like Lendlife, Elby, Brand, Polaris and other similar type SV.
Of the shortcomings, I will immediately note: very inconspicuous backlighting of the operating mode above the button, in daylight it is almost impossible to see which mode is working now; very hot body and especially the lid (although this is probably the case with all pressure cookers).
There are no extraneous smells, only the smell of a new thing and nothing more. I didn’t even boil it with lemon, I washed it and immediately loaded the beets to cook.
The pan in Scarlett's SV looks good, I liked the coating on both sides to the touch, let's see how it will be in use, but if such as in Scarlett's multicooker, it will live a long time and without problems. On the pan there is a ledge for the metal plate of the steamer, respectively, there is the steamer itself, there is a standard multi-cup and a plastic spoon (which, as always, goes to waste), there is also a less understandable instruction and a colorful book with a small set of recipes.
A good set of programs, the "Custom recipe" button allows you to select an arbitrary cooking time from 2 to 99 minutes, there is a "Baking" program.
In general, the first impression of the Scarlett pressure cooker is quite positive, let's see how it will show itself in use.

Pingvinus, congratulations and greetings as a pioneer of the brand scarlett

I subscribe to the topic, because I can not imagine my life without well. I wonder how the saucepan will behave during operation.

I continue testing the Scarlett pressure cooker. I am still very happy with her.
I cooked rice with lentils and onions (something like madjara), and this dish is rather sticky, but nothing stuck in Scarlett, it looks like the saucepan is as good as in their cartoon.
I liked the program "Heating the dish", it is put out with a separate button and on this program the pressure is not accumulated and the heating is fast and quite strong, even a crust has appeared, it is very convenient to heat it up.
It remains to try the baked goods, if it works out well, then the pressure cooker justifies its money 100% and even more.

Penguin, with a new thing! Let it work like a Swiss watch: no glitches or wear
Eh, but for me the case would fit more with black plastic, as in Skarlushka. Maybe we will swing?
A huge request. If you cook cabbage dishes (not the first ones! With a small amount of liquid), write down how the saucepan behaved. My polaris, as I found out by trial and error, literally can't stand cabbage. Anything is almost dry - please, without the slightest problem, and it seals the cabbage tightly.
And I also wonder what this mysterious program "Children's Menu" is. Like the IRR, I can’t imagine my life without SV, and there’s no hope for the long life of the polaris saucepan. And the choice we have in terms of pressure cookers is very small: Polaris and Scarlett, then dear Moulinex and Binaton follow. In the fall like Dex promises to pull up. But whose copy it will be - that is the question
So far, I saw one drawback in Skarlusha in comparison with Polaris: in the latter, the lid becomes vertical, and can stand as long as needed. Pts is convenient. Additional space is required for a removable cover.

The saucepan is just super !!!! Buy you will not regret it !!!! I have not been using it for a long time, but I am already delighted !!!! Yesterday I baked butter cupcake for the first time on the baking mode for 45 minutes, it turned out just super, the only thing of course the top crust is white, but everything was baked perfectly, and the saucepan is almost clean and you don't need to wash it !!!! I also cooked soup, on the porridge soup program, before that I made frying on the stewing program for 15 minutes, it turned out to be a super cool rich soup, much better than on the stove, I also cooked rice on the rice program, 2 times-rice is needed in a ratio of 1 to 1.5 water , then it will be crumbly !!!

vairayx, welcome to the forum

Thank you for your feedback, it's good that the saucepan pleases. Scarlett's technique is getting more and more nra to me. There is already an oven and HP from it. And for some reason ... I don't remember, but Scarlett was suspicious of the not expensive MV, but in vain, here they use her with a bang.
g_alien
Hello!
Also interested in the "Children's Menu" mode, and what about the milk porridge?
If everything that is indicated in the function works as promised, then maybe I'll persuade my wife to buy this SV instead of MV, I somehow liked it.
By the way, the "games" with the valve and pressure are not very stressful after MV, this is the only thing that confuses me. In MV, I got used to the fact that you can look at any moment, here as I understand it - no. Yes, and the wife is confused by the increased pressure, even at high temperatures ... techies, you know, but the apparatus is Chinese.

everything is fine. Don't be intimidated by the valve. make a time reserve of 10 minutes - it will lower it by itself, if you don’t want to forcibly lower it. And add salt, yes, it will be possible only after. But, when the first friend of the multicooker is already there, and with her the experience of cooking in electric pots, then this is not critical. if you will, you will. And the time is how the pressure cooker saves. And what soups are cooked with peas and smoked meats. And all this in an hour. And jellied meat in 2 hours, instead of the prescribed 5-6. Rice, potatoes, cereals - minutes. The milk never escapes thanks to the device. Baked milk - half an hour, an hour - already brown.

I’m even for the Chinese, all my phones are straight from there, but here are some other criteria, you still need mechanical strength and reliability, all the same pressure and high temperature, but here the child runs ...
And the Chinese still like to save on materials. The burnt out MV polaris is enough for me, I don’t know how it will end, but already in the service on Shchusev 44, in Kiev, they demand money for repairs, although they gave it under a guarantee. It stupidly burned out, and to the point that the heating element was deformed (apparently the thermal relay was covered), and in the service they told me that it was a mechanical defect, they say I bent a piece of aluminum at the bottom of the MV ... these are the pies, but I will still fight the goats. ..

According to the polarity, here, as it were, is not the place to discuss it, but nevertheless - I have already entered the polaris suppliers in Kiev, next week I will talk to the head, they have their own service, I hope for a second examination. Of course I will write about the results.
It's a pity that I didn’t make a photo of the defect in the service ...

Hello! the question arose, tell me, a saucepan of 5 liters, but how much soup can you cook, for example? Have you tried the children's menu yet?

additional saucepans not looking?
g_alien
I support!
Measure the size of the pressure cooker bowl for statistics.
Maybe it's good for something.
Pingvinus
IRR, Azaza, thanks for the congratulations on the new thing.
Azaza, I will definitely try to cook cabbage one of these days. Is the stew suitable for testing or do you need to test a specific recipe?
vairayx, did you bake a cake with a closed valve or with an open one?
Tell experienced pressure cookers how to use an open or closed valve oven?
g_alien, but there are no games with the valve, just turn it counterclockwise and forget about the pressure cooker until it boils. I won't look in the process, of course, but that's why I buy electric pans, so as not to look into them.
"Children's menu" is, in fact, the program "Milk porridge", in the recipe book for this program only one recipe is written - baked milk. But today I cooked rice milk porridge on it (for 1 cup of rice, 3 tablespoons of water and 3 tablespoons of milk) - it turned out super! Excellent consistency, amazing taste - very delicate and slightly stewed, tastier than in a slow cooker. Nothing naturally escaped and did not even try, and nothing stuck to the saucepan. The Children's Menu program worked perfectly.
Well, now I will disappoint those who like to cook in large portions. The pan in SV Scarlett has a maximum volume (if you pour it to the very edge) - 4.5 liters... The useful volume is 3 liters, this is 3/5 of the mark on the pan, which is the maximum for first courses and non-foamy products (for foamy products, in general, 1/5 of the volume is about 1.5 liters).

Pan dimensions: 22.2 cm - top diameter; 19.5 cm - bottom diameter; 14.5 cm - height; 14 cm - height inside; 7 cm - height of the steamer ledge; 24 cm - diameter with outer rim.
IRR
this is a very good volume. But always fresh. And fast.

And who needs buckets to eat 7-liter SINBO if that
azaza
Penguin stew will be just right! I'm looking forward to! Although the girls in Polaris also cook great cabbage, no one complains. And for me it sticks tightly, to absolute blackness and non-scraping. Everything else is easy, no problem, at the very, very minimum of water and oil, and it is prepared excellently - the taste is beyond praise. Apparently, I was the only one who was so "lucky" with the coating I'm afraid my pans were sculpted at the end of the block, in the very last seconds of the working day
Measured the saucepan. Mine is 14 cm in height, the rest of the parameters are not identical, but close (differ slightly in less side of the skarlushka saucepan). I hadn’t measured the volume before, but here I was interested.3/5 - exactly three liters And then the most interesting thing begins: at a lower height and insignificantly smaller other parameters, 5 liters poured into the saucepan, and it was possible to shove somewhere else 50 ml! Fun math. There are two assumptions: either one of us has a great measuring tool (I have, for example, how many tape measures and centimeters, there are so many "standards" of a meter!), Or ... Skarlushka's coating is so thicker than Polaris that it eats half a liter by volume declared 5

Good day!
It's great that we measured the capacity, now I once again poured the bowl from the polaris in all the sizes presented, the compatibility is ~ 99%, the spread is up to 2mm.
That is, from the "killed" polaris 0508D, the bowl should come up (and most likely this https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...on=com_smf&topic=162308.0 for Orion, etc.), probably we will take.
Thus, do not worry about the volume of your bowl not less than in a multicooker for "4.5-5" liters.
Thanks for the rest of the information too!

I think it's not about the coating of the pan, but about the power and mode, Polaris PMC 0508AD has 700 W, and your Liberton LMC 05-02 has 800 W and DEX DEX-50 - 900 W, so it burns.

By the way, the non-standard size of the Liberton LMC 05-02 pan scares me away. Maybe a replacement has already been found where to get it, if that?

No not like this. Firstly, in Dex, not 900, but 980 W, and secondly and most importantly, it was a pressure cooker. It is in it the cabbage burns tightly. Everything is fine in multicooker. And the "girls" meant the other owners of the Polaris pressure cookers. Their saucepans in their pressure cookers do not weld cabbage, but mine welds in mine. The units are the same, and the pans seem to be the same. Perhaps my cabbage is not like that

Well then, it is clear.
It's just that you don't have a pressure cooker in your profile among the equipment, so I decided that you are talking about CF.
Today I went back to the costly MV Delfa, and since a week I want to buy this SC.
It's a pity there is nowhere to look live, a novelty.
I will hope for the feedback of the first mistress of this SC and the quality really will not let you down, otherwise the wife will eat ... I convinced her of the usefulness of this SC.

the usual abbreviation for pressure cookers is SKV, for slow cookers MdV.

I feel a little discomfort from the fact that hopes are pinned on my reviews to get the perfect pressure cooker for the family, so for g_alien, his wife and others reading this topic, I will say that the opinion about the Scarlett pressure cooker is exclusively mine IMHO and personally I never present to devices of this price category higher requirements, so your opinion about this pressure cooker may not coincide with mine. I hope by this post I will disclaim responsibility for anyone's choice, so I continue to report on the work of the Scarlett well.
Today I conducted an experiment with baking - the result is excellent. I baked a manna with apples (1 mst each semolina, flour, sugar, kefir, 1 egg and an apple), did not increase the time (30 minutes), closed the valve - everything was baked and absolutely did not stick to the pan (for more dough, the time must be increased up to 50 minutes, like in a multicooker!).In the Bake program, no pressure is built up despite the closed valve. From this I conclude that there are electronic brains in Scarlett well, because in other pressure cookers of this type with one pressure level, the cooking result depends solely on the cooking time and the amount of liquid, and in Scarlett I have already found 2 programs that work without pressure, regardless of whether the valve is open or closed.
She also stewed cabbage (by special order from Azaza). The cabbage turned out to be simply amazing, quickly, without any stirring and unnecessary body movements, and very soft and tasty. Absolutely nothing stuck to the saucepan and did not even try.
Well, as always, there is a fly in the ointment in the barrel of honey - the saucepan in the Scarlett well is absolutely non-standard, it was measured again, still the volume is 4.5 liters. For g_alien: the 5-liter from Perfezza does not fit there, it is slightly higher, which means that you cannot buy a spare one on our forum.
Here is a photo of my three pots, 4 liter from the Scarlett multicooker, 4.5 liters from the Scarlett pressure cooker and 5 liter from the Perfezza multicooker, I think everything is quite clear.
Scarlett SL-1529 pressure cooker (reviews)
But despite the lack of spare pans, I like this pressure cooker more and more.
g_alien
and I didn't want to complain about you if anything ... but thanks for the information, they should still deliver today.
After reading reviews in other places, when buying, you need to pay special attention to the display.
For some users, after warming up, some segments of the control panel display ceased to be displayed. Also, sometimes there are mechanical defects on the lid, which is not specified. Otherwise, there are no particular complaints.
I hope everything will be fine in my copy.
IRR
Pingvinus, I'm talking about replaceable casseroles. Maybe from Panasonic 18 will fit? you have no acquaintances with Panasik, try it - and it goes in and out? Then, you can order in Moscow from the brand. Through friends.
g_alien
Well, I became like the second owner of this miracle here.
It seems like a good thing, everything works, only two things immediately confused me: 1) the closed lid backlash up and down, that is, it somehow sits loosely in place; 2) the pressure regulator also does not sit firmly in place and can rotate almost in a circle, I expected two clear fixed positions "open" and "closed".
Hence the question: do all owners have such backlash?
For testing, I poured water and put it on the "soup" program, at first I etched a little steam through the valve, then the process went ... everything seems to be fine.
The lid really gets very hot, which is not surprising, it would be better if it was made completely plastic on top.
You really have to be VERY CAREFUL !!! when working with the valve, it releases hot steam quite easily.
Also, be careful, after opening the lid, a lot of condensed hot water will pour out of it.
Blocking against incorrect opening only by overpressure.
I did not notice the blocking from switching on with the lid open, in my opinion it simply does not exist, and the pressure cooker easily starts with the lid open on any program, although I may have gotten to such.
And yes, the Polaris pan does not fit a little in height, although if you make a little effort you can close it, but this is the very last option, although you can still grind the top of the donor pan a little by 3-4mm.
That's all for now.
IRR
g_alien, : congratulations. More goodies for you without a jam

what about
1) a closed lid backlash up and down, that is, it somehow sits loosely in place;
, then it has not yet gained steam, and then it will sit down. Thanks for the review, go on, the pressure cooker is brand new in our market, there is little information.
g_alien
I understood from the lid, but the valve still bothers me, somehow there is no clarity and reliability of work, but maybe I'm finding fault ... technical education, you know ...
azaza
I do not advise you to make an effort to shove someone else's pan. It's not a cartoon, it's a high-pressure unit after all.
I have Polaris, but the lid is also slightly loose. The backlash will disappear under pressure. And the valve should move freely. You just need to monitor whether it is in that position. It is not he who fixes the lid.
Pressure cookers work with the lid open too. This is exactly how the frying is done: you poke at any button - and fry whatever you want. Fried, closed the lid, the valve is in the closed position - and pressure is built up in the saucepan. Until the pressure builds up, the valve releases steam (there is a characteristic whistle). Then the pressure is built up, the steam outlet is shut off, and a magic action begins in the saucepan.
g_alien
Yes! Everything is so, but as you once again noticed - this is a high-pressure apparatus, and the valve is loose, accidentally hooked on the body and got steam in the forehead ... but this is my opinion, if other SCVs have this, then there is nothing to think about. So they reassured.
About the pot, it was sarcasm.
azaza
Well, in fact, even a banal kettle for safety reasons is not recommended to be placed where you can hook it with your elbow. And the high-pressure unit all the more should be treated with respect.

Nivina, this IRR is having fun. It's not all that bad. My Polaris stank terribly, I was afraid the stench would not disappear. Nothing has passed. True, I had to get nervous for a week and a half - no lemon helped.
But this is rare. Basically, the first lemon boil is enough, and for some even an idle steam run is enough.

Try rinsing it well with detergent. It will not remove the smell at all, but it should remove a little. Scrub straight with a washcloth on all sides. And tomorrow be sure to cook a lemon. And after cooking, it is advisable not to close the lid tightly so that the smells do not stagnate.

The steam escapes very gradually, you will not see the steam jet. And you won't see it by the valve. There should be a little thing in a depression next to the steam valve, so you can see from it: if it is raised, then there is still pressure in the pan. Has fallen - it means that the steam has been released, you can open the lid. I have a different pressure cooker, I don't know your device, but in principle they are all arranged almost the same, except that the design of the ropes is different.
And the steam valve is for manual control. It should usually stand in a closed position. For forced descent, open manually.
g_alien
Well, I wouldn’t put my face in there if I were you, it’s easier to lift the pressure regulator a little and if steam starts to flow, then it’s not yet bleed off, then we either wait further, or let off steam manually, slowly moving it to the "open" position.
It is obligatory to fulfill all specified in personal protective equipment such as "kitchen mittens" !!!
