Category: First meal
Sorrel soup or Green soup (Brand 35128 airfryer)

Ingredients

Any meat (I have a chicken stew) 200-250gr.
Medium sized potatoes 5-6 pcs.
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Carrot 1 PC.
A tomato 1 PC.
Sorrel, fresh or frozen qty to taste
Boiling water (hot water) 1 liter
Salt, spices, bay leaves, herbs taste
Egg 2-3 pcs.

Cooking method

  • In many books with recipes for airfryer and on the Internet, it is recommended that all the ingredients for the soup, washed and cut, including raw meat, simply put in a container and cook at maximum temperature and fan speed for 1 to 2 hours. After trying to cook a few soups / borscht, I came up with a formula for cooking soups in an airfryer that suits our family. And I decided to share this formula using the example of sorrel soup or "green soup", as my daughter calls it from a very young age.
  • For cooking soups in an airfryer, I bought just such a saucepan with a volume of 2 liters. This amount is enough for 4-5 servings (including small children for 6 servings).
  • Sorrel soup or Green soup (Brand 35128 airfryer)
  • And so, let's get started:
  • 1. Today I took chicken stew as meat. Washed, dried and fried on a drop of olive oil without a lid until the liquid evaporated. Salted a little while frying.
  • 2. Peeled the onions and carrots, cut them finely (on a Berner vegetable cutter with an insert of 1.6 mm). Fried everything together for 2 minutes.
  • 3. Wash the tomato, cut it in half and rub it cut down on a coarse grater. Added to onions and carrots. Fried the carrots until soft.
  • All these manipulations take 12-15 minutes, no more.
  • 4. Peeled the potatoes, washed them, cut them into small cubes.
  • 5. Sorrel, if fresh, washed, dried and cut. I use already processed and frozen sorrel. I just cut off the amount I need from a large briquette with a sharp knife.
  • 6. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan in this order: meat, frying, potatoes, sorrel. I pour boiling water (exactly 1 liter) from a thermopot. Salt. I close it with a lid (or a piece of foil, making 2-3 punctures with a toothpick).
  • 7. I install it on a low grill in an airfryer with an expansion ring. I cook for 20 minutes at a temperature of 250aboutC, the speed is high. Then I turn the temperature down to 220aboutC, and the speed is to medium and I bring it to readiness in 20-30 minutes. (Neither temperature nor speed can be reduced. Then the soup will be ready in 40-45 minutes).
  • 8. After the signal, I added greens, spices, boiled and chopped eggs. And left it in a hot airfryer for 5 minutes - until the fan stops completely.
  • 9. She poured them into plates, added homemade sour cream and invited the family to dinner.
  • Sorrel soup or Green soup (Brand 35128 airfryer)
  • Bon Appetit!

The dish is designed for

2 liters - 4-6 servings

Time for preparing:

Preparation 20 min. Cooking 40-60 min.

Cooking program:

Convection oven

Note

I cooked borscht in the same way. The only difference is in the presence of beets in frying, and cabbage in a saucepan. The algorithm is the same. Thus, the cooked soup / borscht we liked very much. Rich, but not very fatty, and the fried meat gives an interesting flavor. Without a strong boil, it seemed like the soup was languishing. And the volume is to have lunch once. We were satisfied 100%.
This principle is very similar to cooking first courses in a multicooker.

Great soup. My favorite. True, I do not lay a tomato and cut the egg into small cubes. ... I will cook as you do, otherwise I cooked at the highest temperature for an hour.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Galina, I also cut the testicle into cubes, for beauty I cut it into slices

Ksyushk @ -Plushk @, tell me, must the pan be thin-walled?
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
natalla83, I personally like thin-walled for the soup. Heats up much faster. Although almost all recipes, video clips, recommendations refer to thick-walled pots. Therefore, in my opinion, one should not be puzzled, but cook in what is. After all, you can use ceramic dishes, like clay pots for the oven.

Ksyushk @ -Plushk @, I somehow just tried to cook part of the soup on the stove, and part in the airfryer. Cooked in a cast iron saucepan. So in the airfryer, I cooked it for an hour longer at the maximum temperature. I think maybe I'm doing something wrong. Others do it. And the porridge is cooked on gas for a maximum of half an hour, and in an airfryer - in an hour of cooking, it is not ready yet (in a clay pot).

natalla83, of course, it will take a little longer to prepare in the AG. After all, you must first warm up the walls of the dishes in which the dish is prepared. That is why I say that I like to cook soup in a thin-walled saucepan. I cook rice and buckwheat in a clay pot, but fill it with hot water.

thanks for the answerKsyushk @ -Plushk @, and tell me more, does the product bookmark matter? what comes first and what then?
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
natalla83, in my opinion (and taste) when cooking soups and cereals with meat, it is better to put meat down, and vegetables (carrots, onions, cabbage, potatoes, etc.) or cereals on top. But again, I will make a reservation, I cook this in a glass pan with thin walls and in ceramic pots. How the product will behave in dishes made of other materials - I do not know, unfortunately.
