Ingredients

water ~ 1-1.2L
split peas 160g
bulb onions 1 PC
carrot 1 PC
salt
ground black pepper
Favorite minced meat / I have pork 200g
small egg 1 PC

Cooking method

  • Pour peas, grated carrots, finely chopped onions into boiling water. Cook, stirring occasionally for 50-60 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Purée with a blender. Form meatballs from the minced meat with the addition of eggs, salt and pepper, put in a saucepan with soup, cook over low heat until the meatballs are ready.
  • My husband loves it thicker, I always make him bread crumbs from the dacha loaf for pea soup.

An excellent recipe, an alternative to traditional smoked products in pea soup.
Cooking in a pressure cooker VIMAR in 2 stages, first I boiled-boiled peas in mashed potatoes, and then added potatoes-carrots-meatballs and already cooked everything in pieces.

Tatiana, I'm asking a question. We cook the soup, then puree it, then put it back in the pot, put the meatballs in there and cook it again, right?
Or do we cook with meatballs, then catch and puree them, then return the meatballs? something I'm confused
