Ingredients

Minced meat (I have pork and veal) 600 gr.
Vegetable oil (3 + 3) 6 tbsp. l.
Onion (grate) 1 PC.
Garlic (press) 1 clove
Tomato paste 1 tsp
Raisins 1 tbsp. l.
Pine nuts 1 tbsp. l.
Dutch cheese (grated) 150 gr.
Egg 1 PC.
Cream (any fat content) 100 g
Rice (I have Jasmine 1 tbsp = 200 ml) 2 glasses
Vegetable broth 3.5 cups
Carrots (grate) 1 PC.
Salt pepper (to taste)

Cooking method

  • I saw this recipe in the Greek magazine "Gastronom" and tried it and just fell in love! For the first time this recipe was published by me on the cook, I changed it a little and decided to share it with you, because I have been cooking this dish for three years now, because it is very loved in our family and also because everything is very simple and fast, but it looks on the table very impressive and beautiful. Try it!
  • Filling: Fry the onion, garlic and minced meat in a pan, breaking the lumps with a fork.
  • Add tomato, raisins and simmer until the liquid evaporates completely, add nuts, salt and pepper.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Rice: Lightly fry the carrots, add the rice and fry it, stirring well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Add broth, salt, pepper and simmer until all liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Let cool slightly, add egg, cheese and cream, mix well.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Grease a tall form 20 cm in diameter, cover the bottom with baking paper. Pour 3/4 of the rice into a mold, leaving the filling well.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Place the filling and cover the top with the remaining rice.
  • Stuffed rice
  • Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees C for 20 minutes. Cut the finished rice on the sides with a knife, cover with a dish and turn it over.

  • Allow to cool slightly and cut into portions.

Thank you! Delicious. The literal words of her husband: "Mmm ..... I'll remember!" About 10 minutes later, gobbling up the second portion: "Can you do it for a reunion?" I did half of the portion for testing. The test ended quickly ..... The cheese was from Kostroma, instead of cedar, I put chopped walnuts. Baked in a silicone mold. Conclusion: you need to make a full portion so that there is left for breakfast!
