Good health to you, AlisaS!
I believe that I will not surprise anyone with the recipe for shortbread dough, but here is the method (method, if you want) of molding cookies for me highly like it - so I decided to share it with the visitors of this wonderful site. Maybe someone will come in handy ... 🔗
Thanks for your feedback!
Good luck!

How unusual! And beautiful. Thanks for the master class! I took it to bookmarks.

AXIOMA, thank you very much, very interesting and beautiful cookies, and for me new, unusual, and most importantly nothing complicated
Ilona
Agree with celfh, you have to run to take away the plasticine from the child and train - train and train, as the great bequeathed ... Lyuba 1955, I envy that it's not difficult for you ... I have not yet figured out how to twist it all
celfh
It seems to me that little cookies are obtained, on the floor of a bite!
vernisag
It seems to be not difficult, but it probably won't hurt to practice on plasticine ... But in general, it's really very beautiful!

Whoa! Our men are such entertainers! Everything is simple, but so beautiful!

celfhYou correctly mentioned plasticine. 🔗
The dough for successful molding should resemble the structure of plasticine, or, as they sometimes say, an earlobe.
I missed this moment when describing the recipe
I'm sorry ... 🔗

More about plasticine. White its color does not exist, right?
Who will train, let him pay attention to the combination of colors - original beautiful solutions may appear ...
I strongly believe that beautifully presented food is ALWAYS tastier!

Slices can be molded with a glass, for example - and then the cookie will turn out for two bites.
But crumbs ... 🔗

I'll try to bake it larger.

Well...big buns-curlicues will put up - "Bad! We are getting fat!", Small cookies - "Not enough - not full!"
celfh, well, sketch them for yourself for a couple of bites!
Anna1957
Why get dirty with plasticine? Take multi-colored gummies - I used to make primitive roses in this way.

ilonnna! You are entirely right!
But I wondered if the diameter of the workpiece was increased (take a glass instead of a glass), what would come of it ...
I conducted an experiment and the result was not entirely comforting.
When twisting, the workpieces sagged, broke - here I thought more about plasticine ...
I even left both parts of the dough to stand in the bag for one hour - the flour will absorb moisture and the dough will be more obedient:

Chronology of further events.
I rolled the dough with a rolling pin and made a glass slightly in diameter - more notch:

These are the cookies my daughter and I wound up today!
Propeller Cookie
Thanks again for the way of cutting the dough!
And this is an appendage.
Propeller Cookie
Axioma
Hello, Merri !
Thanks for the original appendage!
You have magnificent "spirals"!

It should be noted that the author of the recipe recommends that when folding the slices into a roll, you need alternate colors. Something like this:

Propeller Cookie

That is, place a colored slice on a white slice, then a white slice on a colored slice and finally put a colored slice again.
And then you will get beautiful cookies:

Propeller Cookie

This is not so important - the main thing is that it is tasty! 🔗
Merri
I looked carefully at your photos and understood why cookies look different. We did less overlap, so the drawing is not so clear. But we were so carried away by the process that we did not attach any importance to it, it was fun and interesting! We even used the dough his... I think that it was not the last time such cookies were baked, somehow I will try to repeat exactly.
Axioma
Hello, Merri!

Thank you for your reply.

I have no doubt that many people know how to make SANDY DOUGH.

Everything is simple here:

1 - (one) part of sugar,
2 - two parts of fat,
3 - three parts flour and a pinch of salt.

And what will you add to dough in addition to these components (zest, cocoa, nuts, vanillin, buckpulver, etc.) and what figures you make depends on your taste and imagination.

I shared in this thread a simple (it seemed to me so), but an original way of molding.

I wish you success. 🔗

Thank you for your pleasure. The first cookie you baked yourself. A month since I have been living with a bread maker. Bread, charlotte, now there are cookies.
Simple and very beautiful!
As a former military (and later civilian) pilot, he could not pass by such an "aviation" recipe. ))

Thank you for reading Temko about the Propeller.
I also listened to the operation of Tu - 95 aircraft engines for 20 years.
Sometimes even in a dream I see these hulks ...
AlisaS

Finally, I will report on the work done
So I, seeing the recipe, turned on the propellers
Propeller Cookie
Modified the dough a little (added curd) and made a four-color propeller and also a floral one

AXIOMA , thanks for the original cookies !!!
Axioma
AlisaS, the report is wonderful! Thank you! Propeller Cookie

They look like both a propeller and a rose.

Thank you very much for the technique. I made the decor for the cake from micro-propellers - it worked out especially.
