Ingredients

turkey meat (breast fillet or drumstick fillet) 450gr
filo dough (or puff pastry without yeast) 6-8 sheets
brie cheese 120g (better to reduce to 60g)
garlic 2 cloves
parsley bunch
pitted prunes handful
ghee, freshly ground black pepper, salt

Cooking method

  • The recipe is quite simple, but it turns out such a delicious filling !! The recipe was fished out of the grocery book "About the Bird". Preparing quickly and easily. If your dough is puff, roll it out, we will do without filo. But its three layers are not needed, one will be enough. Puff pastry is rolled out only in one direction so as not to spoil its flakiness.

  • 1. Cut the turkey fillet (drumstick is better, it has a more pronounced taste) into cubes of about 1cmX1cm. Heat the ghee in a saucepan and fry the turkey on it for 5 minutes, until the meat turns white and the liquid leaves.
  • 2. Cut the brie and prunes into small pieces, pass the garlic through a press, finely chop the parsley (or take an ice cream), pepper, salt and mix. The result is a delicious filling that smells thick of garlic. I almost cracked her even before any bags ...)))
  • 3. Filo dough sheets should be cut into squares. I cut squares about 20cm x 20cm or slightly smaller. for each bag 3 thin squares of filo. According to the recipe, they should be greased with melted butter, but I didn't bother very much, otherwise it will be too greasy. A little cross with a brush with oil was passed. Only the edges are smeared on the top square (which will have the filling). Put a large spoonful of the filling, tighten the "neck" of the bag (the filo holds the shape well).
  • 4. Slightly greased the finished bags with oil on top and put them in the 200g oven for about 20 minutes. I do not advise you to eat hot: the taste is lost. Better warm or even cold. It's really delicious.
  • I advise you to cut the brie cheese by almost half. It gives creaminess to the low-fat filling (turkey meat is low-fat meat), and so it was fat for me. Feel free to reduce it, it will melt without a trace. Again, the savings are decent. )))
