Spaghetti with fish

Ingredients

Spaghetti al dente 250g.
Fillet of sea bass (telapia) 400g.
Garlic 1-2 teeth
Parsley (leaves) 1bunch
Dry white wine 125g.
Cherry tomatoes 10 pieces.
Salt pepper taste
Olive oil

Cooking method

  • There is no specific Christmas dish in Italy that is traditionally served throughout Italy. Each region has its own dishes. Historically, in Italy, fish has always been cheaper than meat or chicken, so for many centuries before Christmas, poor peasants and artisans with little means went to fish, which they served on their festive table. Only rich people could afford to eat chicken. We can say that this habit-tradition has remained to this day. At Christmas, fish and its variants, such as spaghetti with fish, are eaten.
  • Rinse the fish fillets, dry, cut into cubes.
  • Pass the garlic through a press and throw in olive oil heated in a pan.
  • Add fish cubes and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add wine and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until it has completely evaporated.
  • Cut cherry tomatoes in half. Add them to the fish, season with salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Boil the spaghetti, according to the instructions on the package, drain the water, transfer to the pan with the fish sauce.
  • Add finely chopped parsley and pepper. Stir, simmer until tender for a few minutes and serve.
  • For me, it's pasta and pasta. But my husband said that he ate these in Milan !!!
  • Try other Christmas dishes in Italy:
  • Dorada with spices in Italian
  • Panforte - Christmas gingerbread
