Black beans with meat

Ingredients

Black beans 400gr
Meat (pork, beef) 300-350gr
Bulb onions 1 head large
Carrot 1 PC.
Tomato paste 1 tbsp. l.
Peeled crushed garlic 1 tooth
Spices, salt

Cooking method

  • Sort the beans, rinse and soak in cold water for 12 hours, then boil for 2 hours. or in a pressure cooker - 40 minutes. Do not salt !!!!
  • Cut the meat into small cubes and fry in sunflower oil until light, appetizing crust, add the diced onion and long strips of carrots. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Close the lid and simmer over low heat in its own juice. After the meat juice has evaporated (after about 30 - 40 minutes), check if the meat is tender. If the meat is not ready yet, add a little water and simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • Add tomato paste, mix well.
  • Add the finished beans to the meat, stir, pour in 3/4 cup of boiling water or broth and simmer everything together for another 10-15 minutes.
  • At the end, add garlic and finely chopped herbs to your taste, I have dill. Check for salt for taste.

My husband and I have kept the tradition of "planting beans" since the days when my husband's grandparents were the owners of this garden. They always planted them along with potatoes in each hole. Now we also forget about this culture every year. The main dish I cook from them is according to this recipe. It is very satisfying and high in calories!

fomca Svetochka, this is a very tasty recipe. I also do the same. I just take several types of beans and add, if any, several types of sausages to the meat. I once ate such a dish in a Czech cafe. I liked it very much and now I'm doing it at home. Thank you!

Svetlana, I looked at your recipe with beans and remembered mine, I haven't made it for a long time, there are no beans. I boiled the beans like you, but stewed them with cabbage, dried mushrooms, onions, carrots, tomatoes and did all this in a saucepan of eight liters, barely climbed into the oven, cooked when they came home from work, they were soaked overnight, but then they were so delicious, by the way you can also add meat there :) try it. Yes, I tried the same tasty with beans, but beans are beans, it is difficult to replace them.
