A very useful thing is a glass-shaped mechanical strainer for sifting flour. Fit 300gr. You can roughly estimate how much flour you put in - the mug is divided into 3 parts by notches.

Elena, tell me, please, does your mug operate according to this principle: you pick up flour, press the button on the handle, and the lever at the bottom of the mug "crush" the flour through a sieve? I just have a metal mug with such a mechanism and principle of operation, but I saw your mug now and began to doubt about mine. Therefore, I have a question: is it a similar "unit" or something completely different (maybe then I myself will look for such a miracle)? Thanks in advance.
Elena Bo
Olga @, pour flour, slide the switch on the handle and the sieve vibrates itself - sifts. Nothing at the bottom moves like an iron mug.

I require a photo of an electric sieve in the studio (if not difficult) !!! There is even such a thing! People are lucky! And it is big, heavy, expensive, and his sieve is small ??

Glory to the lazy inventors! And what would we do without their laziness?

And it is big, heavy, expensive, and his sieve is small ??

The sieve is not large - fits into a bucket of a bread machine. Battery operated. The sieve is normal, just sift the flour. Not heavy - it's plastic. I bought for one hundred and ninety-odd rubles. In Moscow, they visit Real (I bought there).
It works loudly if it is important, especially when there is already little flour in it, but quickly. Vibrates during operation.

And my electric flour seeder looks like this:

Sieve (vibrating sieve)

I immediately pour into it all the ration for a loaf of bread, and while I put the rest of the food in the bucket, it sifts all the flour for me. Then I just pour flour out of it into a bucket of HP.

A dream come true ... of a baker! :) Finally, sieve mugs appeared on sale. I chose between metal and plastic, in the end I chose the second Fackelmann company for the following reasons:
- it is larger in volume,
- the bucket handle is more convenient than the usual round handle because the mug can be almost completely lowered into the bowl where the flour is sifted (for example, into the same bucket from HP),
- easy to clean and dries quickly,
- the presence of a lid allows weighing directly in it,
- well, the difference in price - it is 2 times cheaper (and my husband already grumbles at the expense of the fact that I have a dummy for kitchen bells and whistles, and here some kind of plastic mask costs 30 UAH).

And at Perekrestok I saw a sieve-mug of the same company, only made of metal, it costs about 300 rubles. Something design seemed flimsy to me. The feeling was that she was about to break. Or are they not so gentle? I don't want to buy just to throw it away. And get used to good things, so that later sift flour through a regular sieve. This, of course, is not a product for life, but who does it work for at least a year? (I bake often, sieve at work almost every day).
Mueslik
Lydia, if you start sowing with a sieve mug, you will hardly want to switch to a simple sieve again
I have a metal sieve mug of this particular manufacturer for half a year, I work every day, or even twice a day
While not going to break, and if it breaks, I'll immediately buy a new one

I also have a metal sieve mug, but I don’t sow flour ... Too lazy
Pakat
But in vain! When sifting, the flour is aerated, saturated with oxygen, interaction with dough components is enhanced, the bread becomes richer and tastier ...
I'm not even talking about the mechanical cleaning of flour from impurities, etc. It must, we must sift ...
Baksyusha
I once tried to compare the dough with sifted flour with wholemeal, so the result surprised me a lot: the sifted flour rose 2 times faster and higher. Since then, sift flour or not, I have no question

When sifting, I found insects in the sieve several times.
It is necessary to sift, UNIVERSAL!

I know what needs to be done ... But somehow you try to do everything as quickly as possible and do other things ...

And the fact that a sieve-mug with bABOUTLarger cells (or holes) are nothing?
foxtrader
Look folks for battery-powered mugs. It's a mega-thing. A sieve and an ordinary sieve mug went immediately to my mother. For a year now I can't get enough of my mug. It is very suitable for such sloths as me.

So buy with normal holes. But sifting flour is a must.

And today my husband brought me a Dekok vibrating screen.
Sieve (vibrating sieve)
To be honest, so far outwardly it has not impressed me. I imagined him a little different. Quite large bowl, but small mesh bottom. I'll have to see how it works (until we bought batteries).
Lissa
You can sift 0.5 kg of flour at a time. I am delighted.

I have had this sieve for over a year ... And the TW sieve is resting in the closet.
Freken Bock
shuska, but what about the sieve itself? Impressed?
mish
And I was impressed! The Dekok shaker is a monster! So vibrates! The elephant will wake up!
Freken Bock
mish, and besides, that the elephant will wake up? Sows well? Is it worth developing mining activities?
mish
With such a vibration, it cannot sow badly! I'm just worried now - how long will the motor live? Still, the vibration shakes him ... however, I'm not an expert, and they didn't make fools either - they probably thought about this question. I would like to ask about the durability of the sieve from those members of the forum who have been using it for a long time.

shuska, and what kind of battery is in this sieve?
mish
It seems R-14. There are such in Lenta and in M-Video for sure, my husband and I bought there. shuska, if you have these stores, take a look there.
shuska
We went to buy, my husband remembered that the battery was a small barrel, and we did not notice the number. And there are several types of them and the price is rather big. So they did not dare to take it. Then at home I examined the box and saw the marking of the R-14 battery (if I'm not mistaken). One of these days I'll go buy it again, maybe I'll take a sieve with me to check it right away.

P.S. I don’t know about M-video stores, but we don’t have a tape.

Yesterday Tanya1962 ... well, practically gave me a vibrating sieve !!! (bragging). I haven't applied it in the case yet (crawled home by midnight), but ... the thing seems to be cool. To say that it rattles ... well, it rattles a little ... Before the coffee grinder, as before China.
In short, happy, like an elephant!

I stopped sifting flour, I honestly worked with a sieve for a whole year, and that once was very old and so poured. No difference.

and I have been doing without a sieve for a long time, I did not see the difference, so I stopped imposing additional gestures on myself)))
Lisss's
And I, on the contrary, did not sift for a long time - there was no sieve, but now I sift it and I see the difference - the bread is 15-25% higher, plus the crumb structure is homogeneous, fine-hole, without large bulbs.

Yes! I didn’t sift before, but now I sift.

And I immediately began to sift with the advent of the bread machine - I trusted the experience of the forum users. And before the bread machine I did not use a sieve (any).

I, too, have never come across before, but yesterday I sowed a flour beetle - in a just bought and opened pack and our company - Kievmlyn - has never let down ... a crisis, or what? beetles are mixed for weight?
mish
I somehow got a piece of a rag in Rye flour! And if I hadn't sifted it, would it have ended up in bread ?!
Trendy
Flour is sifted not only from debris, but also to saturate the flour with air bubbles. This makes the baking smoother, more luxuriant and tastier.
obgorka_gu
I'm in favor of sifting too! Unfortunately, we do not have a vibrating sieve, the usual one takes a long time, so our grandfather (my dad) will sit on the balcony behind the vibrating sieve, cover it with oilcloth and sow a ten-liter pan! Maybe preliminary sifting is not very suitable for saturation with air, but there is enough garbage, especially not from packs, but from a 50 kg bag (it is more profitable for us to buy this)

Sieve (vibrating sieve)
Zubastik

marysichca, the sieve from Tupper speaks with a very coarse mesh, which many do not like. I don't know anything about the second sieve - is it vibro? It's easier to buy an iron sieve mug, it seems to me.
Lisss's
take a vibrating sieve, it's great! I have already had a couple of months - I have never regretted it
Lissa
I love the shaker. With a slight movement of your hand, you can sift 0.5 kg of flour
Leska
Quote: Zubastik

By the way, about the vibrating sieve is also a controversial issue - it is not convenient for me to use ... It is especially difficult to sow directly into a bucket from HP. It seems to me that a vibrating sieve is not very convenient for such cases, it is easier to buy a narrow mug. But this is to each his own.

Zubastik, it is strange that it is inconvenient ... I install the vibrating sieve in a bucket (the sieve is held at an angle by the walls of the bucket), I put this structure on the scales, zero it out and pour the required amount of flour. And no dust
Elenka
I bought a mechanical sieve-mug dr.Oetker (on my head) at METRO (on my head) The trouble is that from the lever in the handle there is a plate that moves 2 crosswise plates, and the hole into which it seems to be threaded is rather large and flour is poured ...
Now I think I can put a sealant. Who has such a mug - respond! Let's think together!
P.S. The sieve is similar to Elena Bo's photo sieve at the beginning of this topic, only plastic.
Mueslik
And I didn't like the vibro-sieve at all, it's not worth the money ...
So I use a regular sieve mug, it is also dusty, but does not require a separate storage space ...
and lies in a bucket of flour

Tomorrow I plan to test both rolling pins and sieves.
Vitalinka
Qween, yes, exactly such a mug, the firm "Bergner", for 850 ml. So congratulations on your purchase!
