Attention to beginners! Congratulations on joining the friendly company of bakers!

Panasonic bread makers have differences in performance compared to others.
Please do not be lazy to study the instructions.
If you have any questions, read the topic

Features of the Panasonic 254-257 bread makers.

Don't try or try to tackle an exotic bread recipe or quick baking program right away! Start with plain wheat bread on the main program!

Read "A guide to baking bread in a bread machine" and study "kolobok rule" (see the necessary links below, they are "clickable") - this is your minimum... Please note that recipes are often geared towards a certain flour standard, which the flour sold in our stores may not meet! Therefore, the kolobok rule allows adjust the dough at the stage of mixing.

Nothing else is needed to start.

We read the rest already after obtaining at least the minimum, that is, the first experience with the bread maker!

Realize that food volume and weight are not the same thing!
250 milliliters (standard glass) is only 160 grams of flour!

On electronic scales, the scale can be either in kilograms or grams, or in ounces and pounds. Be careful!

In section Helpful hints and help in baking bread
there is beautiful UNDERSTANDING BREAD IN HOMEMADE BREAD,
pay special attention To the kolobok rule

All possible rules, errors and links to their solutions are considered in the topic

The bread did not work out again, I did everything strictly according to the recipe. What can be wrong?
Attention! There is an error in the recipe in the "native" instructions for Panasonic - the amount of water in rye bran bread. See HERE

Remember that ALL RECIPES for making bread in a bread machine are suitable for ALL MODELS of bread machines.

For beginners (and not only) there is a section "The easiest bread for bread maker models"which contains SIMPLE and affordable recipes for wheat and wheat-rye bread.

Good day.

The site is very useful, the head swells from the information, but you still can't make a choice. I would be VERY grateful for your help!
Today I have to buy HB as a present for my mom. I choose between Panasonic 2501 and 2502, (I tend to 5202 more, because the material of the case suits me more).
I read the instructions. But I also read that the declared functions are one thing, in practice - another. And that even in the absence of the necessary functions, it turns out to bake bread according to the necessary recipes.

Mom wants to bake, (in addition to the standard recipes) pure rye bread, whole grain bread (peeled, coarse) and sourdough bread.
Is this possible in these Panasonic models? Or is it better to pay attention to other HB firms?
irman
Anastasia, both 2501 and 2502 can bake anything. Choose which one you like best.

Anastasia, and 2501 and 2502 you can bake everything, the difference. Choose which one you like best.
Thank you so much! I went to look for where to buy.
Rina
Bohemia, if you really decide to buy 2502, keep in mind that although it is unlikely, an oven for the European market may come across - it does not have a program for dumplings, but there are programs for three types of bread (which are not in the oven for the CIS market) - Italian, sandwich and brioche. The stove for the CIS has inscriptions in Russian, for Europe - in English or German.

Is the case material chosen purely aesthetically, or do you think that stainless steel is better for some parameters?

Oh, and I already bought it. I’m even afraid to go and see what I bought ... There are two languages on the box - Russian and Ukrainian. I did not open the box. I was persuaded not to check, because they said that they had sold a huge number of these HBs and there was not a single marriage yet. I didn't check, there was a long queue to check the goods.

Now I would still find shops with the "right" flour.)) Although the preparation of the sourdough scares me most of all.

And I chose a stainless steel for two reasons:
1. I was frightened by the review read on the Internet. A man bought HB Panasonic, and during the preparation of the bread, the plastic melted and ended up in the bread itself ... Most likely, there was a fake (it seems to me), but the recall burned into memory.
2. I have a multicooker made of white plastic. During active operation, the appearance has suffered, it looks somehow not very good. The plastic has turned a little yellow, the letters have worn off. I hope that the stainless steel retains its new look for a longer period.

Since you did not check it when buying, listen to the stove at first - if a creak starts during kneading, read our topic "Breakdowns and problems of Panasonic" (it is unlikely that the same problem will come out, but several people have already encountered it).

The correct flour is, to begin with, normal bakery wheat of the highest grade. Or just premium wheat.

Feedback? Is the piece of plastic melted into the bread? How's that? I can’t even imagine WHAT had to happen for molten plastic to be in the BREAD. The fact is that the case of the 2501 and 2502 differs only externally. And inside these ovens are exactly the same (except for the yeast dispenser).

I have a model 255, the plastic has turned yellow on the back of the lid - you need to look out for this yellowness, you just won't see it. This did not affect functionality in any way.

Uh-uh ... keep in mind that "vanillin" is vanilla sugar! If you use pure chemical vanillin in such quantities, you will get an eerie bitterness, just transfer the products.

The teaspoons use vanilla sugar!
Vanillin is used in quantities "at the tip of a knife"!

Yes, we know it! It's just that vanillin is shorter than typing vanilla sugar. But thanks anyway

Bohemia
Hello everyone.
Only today I decided to bake my first bread (at 2502). It will be ready at 21.15.))
I usually have no luck with the purchase of any equipment from the first time, and now I sit, listen to the sounds and think that I got a marriage. ((
When kneading dough, HB should make some sounds ??? I just remember someone wrote that HB worked in the bedroom and, at the same time, did not interfere with sleeping at night. That is, should it work generally almost silently?
My HB, when kneading, makes a sound ... how to explain it ... zhzhuh --- zhzhuh --- zhzhuh.))) My brother says that the sound is like a little creaky meat grinder. It feels like it's hard for her to stir the dough (the recipe is the very first, the usual, everything is clear according to the recipe). I'd like to hear how the rest of the HB work in the batch mode. I'll try to find some video clips with voice acting, although, of course, I doubt that I will find it. I didn’t think to record the sound on my mobile phone, if tomorrow I will still bake, I will definitely do it.

Oh, here's another! When kneading HB, the table shakes very much (ordinary dining room). HB herself does not walk on the table with a shaker, only the table is shaking very much.
marinastom
About the fact that the bedroom does not interfere with sleep, if only the deaf. We have it in the kitchen, we sleep behind the wall. It is audible, but does not interfere with sleep. And the fact that the table is shaking, I think, is not critical. Better, of course, to put on a work surface-table top.
Rina
In "Problems and breakdowns of Panasonic" there is a video of a working stove with a marriage. A normally working stove should sound as it sounds in this recording when the bucket is pressed by hand.

https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=445.0
If the oven feels like it's hard to knead the dough, check the consistency. The first post of this thread has all the links you need. Your minimum is "A guide to baking bread in a homemade bread maker", "Rule of a bun" and "Simple recipes for models of bread makers" (or a basic recipe for the main program from the instructions, but with a bun control).
Wit
Everything is fine with you, Bohemia! "... zhzhuh --- zhzhuh ..." is what you need. Someone joked about the bedroom. I read all 3 branches and I don't remember that. Akin to cooking borscht in the bedroom. Move the HP to a more massive surface. I suspect that you have a table ... ik on thin legs. Take a picture of the table. Again, I suspect that it does not shake, but vibrates slightly.

Thanks a lot for the links! Of course, I studied the forum, but I haven't read everything yet. I read about the kolobok. But I have not seen the video of the marriage.
No, I have no such disgrace in terms of sound. Goosebumps ran from such a grinding.
But there was a slight smell of plastic. From the HB body itself, when I pulled out the bread. But everything is clean, nothing of the food got inside. Maybe for a new HB this is normal? ...

Thank you, you reassured me!) And then I expected silence, and there were some "whacks", so I got scared. And also, as for evil, this time I did not check the HB in the store and did not even put it in the warranty seal. (((The warranty was sealed in the box.
I read reviews not only here, but also on irecommend. Maybe I saw a similar review there. About the plastic in the bread exactly there.
Yes, the table vibrated, but strongly. I think this is not about HB, but about the table itself. One of these days we'll rearrange, we'll see.

(Something is wrong with my quotes. I have not figured it out yet).

Panasonic is generally one of the quietest stoves. Once I was visiting a friend, whom I once taught the rule of a kolobok, etc. But then (when I was teaching) we sat in the kitchen, talked, I was ready for the sound of a working bread machine. And that time, a friend loaded the bread and turned on the hourly delay. Well, while we were chatting, the postponement passed, the stove began to work - I almost did not start hiccuping out of fright, such was a sharp sound from habit (my friend Moulinex). And I do not always hear Panasonic even when I am in the kitchen if the dishwasher is noisy or the washing machine.
Bohemia
The bread is delicious the first time! I liked it very much, and my husband said that it would be better a little drier. To whom - what. Here someone, on the contrary, tried to make it more juicy. It seemed to my husband that the bread was not completely baked inside.
She kept on a diet for a week, giving up sweets and starchy foods. Either I will find the willpower and I will not eat freshly baked bread, or - goodbye to the figure ((I will not eat, I will only try.

I know that. It's just that on other forums you can quote several answers at once in one message, but here I did not find such an opportunity.

I don't regret the choice at all. I chose for a long time, read reviews. I just have nothing to compare HB with, this is my first.) Well, not really mine - I gave it to my mother.)) We live with her in neighboring entrances, so I will run to her every day, like today. I'll look for a week or two and, if the relationship with HB does not deteriorate, I will definitely buy it for myself.

1. Do not cut the bread until it is cold. While it cools down, ripening processes take place in it. Did you cut it hot or warm? Therefore, the crumb looks damp. And it's harmful to eat very fresh baked goods.

2.When you write a message, below under the window of your message there are the last one and a half dozen (seemingly so many) of the last messages of the topic. Regarding the sound of 2502, I can say that I do not hear it at all when I am not in the kitchen. Good soundproofing in the apartment. Forgetting that the sound is still present, I decided to boast of a new acquisition to my mother, who came from the dacha, like to show how convenient it is - in the evening you fall asleep everything, and in the morning - fresh bread.
The fact is that the bedrooms are located behind 4 doors from the kitchen, even the sound of the dispenser (which is good) and the timer (which is bad) are not audible, but the living room where parents spend the night when they come from the dacha is behind the wall from the kitchen. In the morning I heard only complaints that my mother had not been able to get enough sleep. Although the bread itself was quickly eaten and praised, together with my purchase, and the idea was also expressed about the need for such a device in the country (there is a kitchen and bedrooms in general on different floors).
So the sound of Panasonic is a very subjective thing.

Especially for HP I had to buy a table in Ikea. Foam plastic covered with cardboard. So he walks with a shaker. The main thing, of course, is not to fall apart during the baking process.

Wheat flour 400 g
Salt 1 tsp

Hello!
Develop my thoughts, please:

I'm looking here at the recipes for rye breads (including those in the instructions for the bread maker) and I can't understand: the rye bread maker program doesn't care what size the loaf will be at the output? And then if you count the dry ingredients in recipes for rye bread, then the spread is somewhere from 400 grams to 550.
Do I need to adhere to some kind of "golden mean" (let's say, measure exactly 500 grams) or is there no difference and just the loaves will be of different sizes?
I have a Panasonic SD-ZB2502 bread maker. More details: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...ion=com_smf&topic=72478.0

On the rye program, the weight and crust do not change! Don't count anything.

Thanks for the dairy recipe, we'll try it tomorrow. Black until dinner is melting before our eyes. By the way, I added from another recipe in yeast 50-50, in addition to ground coriander 2 teaspoons not ground. The taste has improved.
