Swedish apple pie

Ingredients

Dough number 1
flour 250 g
sugar 75 g
butter 100 g
eggs (50 g) 1 PC
baking powder 1 tsp
rum 1 tbsp
Dough number 2
eggs (50 g) 2 pcs
corn starch 1 tsp
sugar 100 g
sour cream 20% fat 200 g
rum 1 tbsp
Filling:
apples 600 g
butter 30 g
Brown sugar 4 h l
almond flakes for sprinkling
powdered sugar 2 h l

Cooking method

  • 1. Beat the softened butter with sugar into a fluffy mass, add the egg and beat everything together. Pour in rum and add flour mixed with baking powder in several steps. Knead the smooth dough and distribute it over the shape (D24 cm), raising the sides to a height of 5-6 cm. Cover the dough with foil and refrigerate while the filling is cooking.
  • 2. Peel the apples, cut into cubes and fry in butter and brown sugar in a skillet. Allow to cool to room temperature and place in a mold with dough.
  • 3. For test No. 2, separate the whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with sugar and starch. Add sour cream and beat together, at the end of whipping, pour in rum. Beat the whites into a strong foam and combine with the yolk mass in several stages. Pour the resulting dough over the apple filling and place in an oven preheated to 170C for about 60-75 minutes (until a dry skewer). Sprinkle almond petals on the cake before baking. Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
