Gingerbread cookies with molasses

Ingredients

Sugar 100 g
Syrup 100 g
Honey 65 g
Ground ginger (or fresh) 1.5 tsp. (or 3 cm)
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Ground cloves 1 tsp
Orange (zest) 1 PC
Soda 1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Butter 125 g
Yolk 2 pcs
Flour 525 g

Cooking method

  • Put sugar, molasses, honey and all the spices in a saucepan, put on a steam bath, bring to a boil, remove from heat. Add soda, stir. The mixture should foam strongly.
  • Place the diced butter in a saucepan and stir until dissolved. Add the egg and flour, knead the plastic dough.
  • Divide the dough in half, wrap one part in foil and put it aside (if you have a large oven, then all the cookies cut from the dough can be baked together). Roll the rest of the dough into a layer 0.5 cm thick and cut out cookies with molds.
  • Put on a baking sheet and bake in preheated to 170aboutFrom the oven 12-14 minutes, until the edges are browned.
  • I baked for 12 minutes.

Doesn't he need to lie in the fridge like other gingerbreads? And also ... how long do livers last? Are they crispy or soft? Will they go in order to spoil them in advance on NG, while there is still little time?

No, thanks. In terms of softness and crunchiness - medium. How long are stored, I don’t know. We ate them right away. I think that you can bake 2 weeks before NG.
