FOOD GRINDER ISE M-75

This device is installed in my kitchen, which I am very happy about.
Kitchen assistant works for 5 +++++
Initially, I thought the installation of this device was "whimsy and self-indulgence", but now after 3 weeks of its operation I think - and how I did without it before.
The trash bin is now only for dry rubbish.
A photo of the device can be viewed on the website (indicated at the bottom of the page)

Food waste disposer

Made in the USA

Food waste disposer ISE M-75
The IN-SINK-ERATOR ISE M-75 food waste disposer is an electrical device that is installed directly on the kitchen sink instead of the standard drain fittings and is connected through the drain hole to the sewerage system.
You turn on the cold water, then the chopper. The shredder grinds waste into the smallest particles in 10-15 seconds! This is done without the use of knives and blades. The waste ends up on a metal disc rotating at 1750 rpm. The centrifugal force pushes the waste along the walls of the grinding chamber, on which the self-sharpening metal "graters" (Grindchamber) are fixed. It is advisable to use COLD water during the operation of the device (waste processing). When using hot water, the melted fat can adhere to the inside of the dispenser and drain pipes, instead of being flushed down the drain.
The IN-SINK-ERATOR ISE M-75 food waste disposer is installed in any kitchen sink (new or old) with a large (89-90 mm) drain hole. It is also possible to install the appliance in a kitchen sink with a 50 mm drain hole, provided that the sink is made of stainless steel.
It is believed that IN-SINK-ERATOR ISE M-75 food waste disposers are dangerous for your hands and especially dangerous for children. Our devices are absolutely safe.

And she, too, there is a special. diversion. And even a multi-stage water filter too. A whole system of fixtures and outlets. Please note that all these devices are still connected to sockets, + the PMM has a mechanical filter.
All this should be taken into account by your electrician, and plug in a bunch of outlets under the sink.
An oblong niche-cabinet-sink with a length of 70 cm was enough for me (all the sockets in the cabinet, PMM 45 cm. Next to the sink).

An example from kitchen life.
I cooked fish yesterday. Where to put fresh heads and tails, if there are no cats in the house, and which have a disgusting smell when they lie in a bucket. The Chopper handled them perfectly in a matter of seconds.

The first association after Hollywood films is cool weight to get rid of the body. Only their construction looks more powerful, like an industrial meat grinder. But in general I approve and also want to, but first the dishwasher ...

Admin, please tell me, does the shredder need a double sink?

No, one sink is enough, and a tap with hot and cold water.

Somehow I already began to forget about the existence of such a device in nature, but my wife and I stumbled upon a similar one in the store. Here's what is interesting: there was a handsome unit with pneumatic control for 2400 UAH. (approx. 500 uyov), but on order they can bring a slightly lower power, with a manual switch for only 800 UAH. (130 yo). I'm wondering what's the catch?

I became interested in this unit, read on the Internet about some American model of a chopper, it was written there, in particular, that onion skins should not be ground. I wonder why? It turns out that the potatoes must be peeled separately, the onions separately .. :-(
Caprice
We saw something like this at IKEA for 990 shekels.

You can clean everything together. Only the brown onion and garlic skins should be removed and discarded. Because it is hard, smooth and does not rub into dust by the "cams" of the grinder. It's like rubbing a hard plastic film from a bag. The same effect from fish husks, meat films (which are wound on the knives of a meat grinder). Although fish heads, bones, chicken bones and so on go very well.
I have already adapted, I really like this unit. I try to start solid waste, seeds of berries, egg shells, etc. after liquid and soft, so that in this way the cams clean the capacity of the grinder, and the holes are not clogged, and this is all washed off with a stream of water.

Admin, isn't he too noisy? When I was considering this question, I refused the chopper that was shown to me (unfortunately, I don't remember the manufacturer), for this very reason.
Admin
Well noisy, but not scary. But it only works in a matter of minutes, it will grind the floor of a bucket of waste in a matter of minutes, then I turn it off and wash it off with water (it also works when the water is on). True, I never get so many, so everything happens very quickly - in 1-2 minutes. I have an American model.

With just a few minutes of noise, I would not deny myself the pleasure of removing waste, and not storing it in a bucket.

I have been using this device in the household for the fourth year already! What is immensely glad!

I have ISE-65. It also says that you cannot grind onion husks and other fibrous products. But I, happily forgetting about it, on the third day just grinded the husks from several bulbs in the company with other scraps. Nothing happened! Everything went to stock! Then she experimented with veins from meat. If after them you start something solid, for example, the same cuttings of vegetables, then everything is ground and cleaned. If you dispose of the veins "alone", then they really wind up on knives. In general, it is an incredibly necessary thing for those who like to cook often and a lot and who do not like to often take out a foul-smelling trash can
By the way, I bought this particular manufacturer (In Sink Erator) after consulting an English friend, a lover of home appliances. Even in Europe, this American company is considered almost the best. Here ...
Boo Boo
I was installed today. There is no room left under the sink, now I don't know where to put the garbage can. My husband immediately warned me about this, but I wanted the chopper so badly, especially since they gave it to me for free.

If someone has doubts about what he can grind and what he cannot. That for 12 years of using IN-SINK-ERATOR ISE M-65, there were only problems with bones from dates and beef tendons. He crumbles the bones of any animal, although banana skins are not recommended for shredding, they go with a bang. And it is not difficult to clean it. If he didn't grind something, he took it out with his hand and threw it away, but with the bones from dates, the trouble is - the knives wedge and you have to tinker.
Miss Raspberry
I have an IN-SINK-ERATOR No. 65 food waste disposer, bought and installed in 2006. Satisfied to the snot
Such an assistant in the kitchen that there are simply no words, did not break even once, the instructions were written not to throw: thread, corn wrappers, paper, and iron. We didn't throw these objects, and everything else grinds like a mill and bones from fish and chicken, and even plastic shelves from lollipops, which children sometimes throw. And most importantly, it stopped smelling from the trash can.
There is one drawback: teaspoons fall into the hole there, the chopper does not break, and the spoons have to be thrown away, because they become lumpy.
I can't imagine life in the kitchen without him. He's very, very cool. I advise everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!

So I really want a food waste disposer, I stopped at these models: In Sink Erator Evolution 200 or In Sink Erator Evolution 100
My sink is cast with a countertop, the grinder store advises the Evolution 100 model, as it is lighter in weight. Why is the light one needed? Because kitchen workers warned that sinks integrated into the countertop might not support the weight of the shredder ...

I would like to hear the opinion of experienced users, thanks in advance for your advice
Miss Raspberry
Cvetaal, our sink is installed as follows: a hole was cut out in the countertop (3-5 cm thick), and a stainless steel sink was inserted into it, quite thick, which with a flange (also 2 to 5 cm wide (uneven in design)) lies on the countertop ... Such a design will withstand 50 kilograms without deformation for sure !! Chopper weight well 5-7 kg. Maybe you have something differently "integrated"? At least our sink in terms of volume holds 30-40 liters, this is 30-40 kg + the chopper hangs from the bottom and when the volume is completely filled with water, nothing bends!
Cvetaal
Miss Raspberry, thanks, yes, mine is different, here is my sink:

Food waste disposer

The weight of the grinders I have chosen is 8 and 11 kg, the kitchen workers said that during work they could pull out
my sink, here's such a horror story, the grinder seller offered me model 100, as the best option for this type of sink
Miss Raspberry
Cvetaal, yes, how it is there to be attached to the table top is not visible. By the way, if you can see the photo below. But it is obvious: your sink is the same in volume as ours, that is, the same 30-40 kg of water, respectively + - 5 kg will not play a role, probably ?! I think any shredder will do. And what exactly do the "kitchen workers" say?
Cvetaal
Miss Raspberry, what the kitchen workers said, I wrote in the previous edited post, and below the same is an artificial stone, it is cast with the entire tabletop, there are no seams or cracks
Miss Raspberry
CvetaalWell then, probably yes ... they are right. Your sink is not metal. Plus there will be vibration ...
Cvetaal
Miss Raspberry, Maria, does it vibrate strongly? The seller said that the 100 and 200 models have some kind of gizmo in the design, which seems to be supposed to dampen vibration

I have had the In Sink Erator for more than five years, it is attached to the ceramic sink in the countertop, and the weight does not prevent it from conscientiously performing its functions

There is no strong vibration, if you just lean your hand against the table top. But there is sound from work, but this is not fatal, since the erator works quickly and not for long

For me, the main thing is that it does not vibrate much, in general, everything is in thought, there is no garbage chute, the grinder is desperately needed, perhaps I will buy the hundredth model

So the erator still sits on the sink flush hole, attaches to it. And then what's the difference how the countertop with a sink is arranged: cast or built-in - maybe I don't understand why?

You also need to know that the erator has a much larger flush / outlet than a conventional sink. When I bought an erator, the sellers specially kind of it and selected a sink with a wide outlet
Check this moment! Otherwise, what will you change later, the installed cast sink / countertop? Or take the erator to the store?

Your sink has a support - a table top, so it is not afraid of any loads.

CvetaalAs Admin said, the vibration doesn't feel strong, but the noise is yes.
The advice was born to you: take your here this "light" model and do not "bother" and "the wolves are safe and the sheep are fed". When we bought the seller said - take more powerful (more expensive), this type does not grind anything. Ours is very much like grinds. When we make jam in whole plates with a slide, we threw apricot pits - at the moment !! Just plug your ears unforgettable. Earlier, even the courage was "what would you put in such a thing ??" , he ground everything.

So I want ... and this particular company, but I don't know which model to take. I do not need a very large one and without a pneumatic button, or with it, I don’t know (((in the States I used different ones and somehow did not pay attention to how best. It's just that I already have a kitchen and the MCH during the installation of the PMM, for which there was no place and had to redo 2 bedside tables, was not happy, ... but it’s not my fault that he doesn’t know how to use anything other than the microwave, and so he ordered the kitchen. and I love technology))))

Good day. I first heard about the shredder from the designers when they were designing the kitchen. Our designer really likes him, but she said that one of their acquaintances washed dishes with them, and did not know about the chopper, his fork began to go into it, he began to take it out and injured his hand. Of course, I gave it up right away. Now the kitchen is still in preparation and can be planned. I read at the beginning of the topic that it is safe, but what is the security? I have children aged 5 to 9 years old, if they wash the dishes, are they in any danger if they are carelessly used?
Admin
There is no problem to take out any item from the grinder, just reach inside. How do you propose to wash it from plaque and dirt inside it? So you will wash: with handles, a sponge inside

And then, when working with him, he is at rest, does not rotate - so you can safely climb inside.

Children, that's what children are - you should always watch them. A small special grate is inserted into the drain hole, so the fork won't just get there, if only with cleaning the products.
Ananda
Admin, thanks for your reply. Apparently I just have a bad idea of him at work. That is, when you wash the dishes, he is at rest. And shredding has nothing to do with washing dishes, just when you need to shred something, then turn it on and put the waste in the drain hole?

Yes, at rest, like a normal sink. But when you need to grind the waste, we remove the mesh cover and pass the waste there, while turning on the work button, then turn it off.
Ananda
Now I already want it, I called the salon where our kitchen is, they said that they would only enter if we removed the trash bins (there seem to be two of them, they are attached to the panel). One disorder

Thank you for sending me here, now we sit and think which one to take ...
Should I take such a large and powerful ...

We have 75 model, since 2008. I got used to it very much, but I already broke (((((
Honey
I had a Bone Crusher for a year and broke down. A very convenient device for the home, though noisy.

The chopper is just a miracle thing !!!!
What a noisy it is yes !!!
And so I never regretted money for its purchase ...

Hi, I need help, who has already come across - chopped apple peelings, arranged a blockage. The water stays in the grinder and does not leave. Tomorrow a plumber will come in and disassemble the drain fittings, if there is a blockage. If not, as far as I understood from the instructions, you need to manually turn the chopper using a hex wrench. I don't have a key in the kit. Please see key size 8, 10 ..? InsinkErator Evolution 100 model, but this key is the same for everyone. Has anyone already encountered this, will I turn the key myself?
Logopen
I also have a Bonecrusher, the model seems to be 900. It has been working perfectly for two years as a clock. We can't get enough of it !!! I am especially happy after cooking fish and seafood))))
Nikita Lozovoy
also has a Bone Crusher. As for me, the grinder is an irreplaceable thing, since it was installed, I don’t know how we lived before it. model 910. powerful, chic. to be honest, I can't imagine how you can break it. but in general there is a guarantee for 5 years. you can install it yourself
Tatiana Glushchenko
Well, someone is in sink erator, someone is a bone crusher, someone is something else. As for me, they are different. Personally, I like the bone crusher better, it used to be in sink erator, model 65.As a result, I broke down. Then there was a move to another apartment, a bone crusher was installed, which turned out to be cheaper. Model BC 600. I was satisfied, it has been working without interruptions for 2.5 years.
Nathalte
After a certain number of years, please share your impressions. I fired up and buy myself, finally, but my eyes, as usual at the beginning of the selection, run up from the range of models and their prices.

I already wrote about mine above (first post):

Food waste disposer ISE M-75
The IN-SINK-ERATOR ISE M-75 food waste disposer is an electrical device that is installed directly on the kitchen sink instead of the standard drain fittings and is connected through the drain hole to the sewerage system.

Installed at the end of 2007, works flawlessly to this day
It is very easy to look after him. Occasionally "look" inside and check if there is something inside that should not be, that cannot be ground. And flush the system with something soapy. I do this every day when I wash the dishes with dishwashing detergent.

With the advent of the shredder, the problem of vegetable and food waste in the kitchen has disappeared, everything goes into the "mouth" of the erator, and at the moment it is completely devoured. And there is no rotting smell of rotting products in the kitchen, which is very important in the days of large-scale processing of products, vegetable preparations
Separate food waste, such as meat bones, fish scales and the like, I put in a tight bag, bandaged tightly, and sent to street containers. Soft, chicken bones, or small fruit bones, the erator can easily eat itself.

Now only dry rubbish goes to the trash can
Which is very important when separate collection of garbage into different bins begins to be applied everywhere
Admin
Today, the issue of waste separation becomes relevant, including food waste separation.

In order not to carry it to the garbage chute, or to the trash in containers, food waste (which always creates a lot of problems from stink-smell-rotting to domestic animals), you need to take care of solving the problem of how to avoid this. This is especially important in the time of summer harvesting, when you have to recycle a mountain of vegetables and fruits, and somewhere you need to put cleaning. Or in the days of preparation for the holidays.

As the author of the topic, I have already told about my way of solving the problem - I installed a "food waste disposer" in the kitchen sink back in 2007, which still serves me without problems. The only thing that had to be ordered was a pneumatic switch, which began to be naughty only this year.

I offer you an overview of waste shredders:
