I have. But only still Soviet, old. Except how to bake waffles, it can do nothing. I read on another forum about a more modern model that can bake waffles and has a mold for baking nuts (well, those that are then filled with boiled condensed milk). Right here 🔗 such is mentioned.
Dentist
We have it since ancient times. She doesn't do anything other than waffles. Previously, they often baked a variety of waffles (recipes included), but for several years we have not even gotten it out. Probably played enough. Now more and more we are baking something more interesting.

Olga Mikhailyuk
A device for fans of waffles and children (I can't decide which category I belong to). Heavy and multifunctional does not differ - this is not a bread maker for you!

My two stayed at home (110 volts here). I baked all sorts of different waffles: "thick" - vanilla, with cheese and paprika (good for beer), banana, coffee, with spinach, etc. - and thin - with lemon, cinnamon, or vanilla - which I rolled hot with a horn and put ice cream, sorbets, sherbets, fruit salads in them. I also made thin ones with caraway seeds and cheese - to the broth. Recipes - from instructions and a brochure I bought a good one (German recipes, I somehow want to believe the Germans with their accuracy).

If you are on any diet, then the disadvantages are quite a lot of butter and sugar in waffles.

Once I read somewhere that the thick waffle maker can also be used to toast sandwiches, for example, with cheese and tomatoes

If you decide to take it, be sure to take it with adjustment and different heating levels - it is better to bake sweet waffles longer at a lower temperature so that they do not burn and bake well - I had to dry my own in the oven, well, I don’t like damp waffles! And not just waffles.
Elena Bo
I have waffle makers. One for thin waffles is Soviet. In it I bake thin crispy waffles, roll them up. And recently I bought a new toy - for thick Belgian waffles, stuffed nuts and stuffed cookies. But hands do not reach to test in any way.
Here's a new toy with three interchangeable panels.

And where did you buy your waffle iron, the one with nuts? In Moscow? And then I also want this ...
Zoychik
thanks everyone for the feedback

but such a waffle iron that both thin and thick baking does not exist? I want both, but I'm afraid that you can't fit all the devices in the kitchen
Elena Bo
Zoychik, there is no such thing.
And I bought my toy on the website 🔗
I fished all over the Internet, nowhere, although it appeared on the site. I called and found out. Then here 🔗 I clicked "inform about the appearance", they sent a letter that it appeared and I immediately ordered it. But it was on sale for two days, since a message came before it was delivered that they were gone. I even got nervous that they wouldn't bring it, but they did.
And it is called - Electric waffle iron efbe-Schott ZN 3 (this is to search in search engines where it is)
She was still in the world, but there is something incomprehensible. In the online store it was labeled "buy at a super-price." I called, they answer that there is no online store, but there is Mir in stores, but at a much higher price. And I'm not sure if you will come and there she is. At least I have never seen it.

Elena, what kind of manufacturer is this? like the Germans?

Elena, what kind of manufacturer is this? like the Germans?

On an Internet today I looked, I could find in Moscow only in two stores of the M-Video network 🔗 Nowhere else. It says Germany.
Elena Bo
Yes, Germany. It is not easy to buy, but you need to have patience and desire. I also searched for a long time.
Zoychik
but tell me, happy owners
I didn't really understand from the picture - can you bake it like a tartlet? otherwise my husband doesn't like waffles, and salads in tartlets - there will even be an argument
Elena Bo
Zoychik, these are halves of nuts. It is written that it can be used as tartlets, made from savory dough with savory fillings.
Zoychik
he will not agree on halves of nuts .. so they could not make normal molds!
Alexandra
Instead of tartlets, I make round eclairs (choux pastry), cut off the caps and fill them with several salads of different colors for one dish. Beauty and delicious!
Zoychik
I also did this before, but my husband loves sand cheese tartlets .. I have to buy

Duc can also serve waffles (cheese with paprika, for example) and salads. Or with dip sauces. Made with a blender from ... your favorite salads
Elena Bo
Well, finally I got to the waffle iron. What a miracle, I will report to you. Super! The temperature is not regulated and at first I was worried that they would burn. But! These are the Germans! Everything keeps the required temperature and the waffles are one to one. Pretty ones. We must now try the nuts and cookies.

Nda ... I am sincerely happy for you ... but we just have to lick our lips intensively, console ourselves with the fact that we consume less oil and torment the bread maker ... Well, there are no 110 volts
Elena Bo
I remember earlier (even with the scoop) we had such a unit that switched to 220 and 110 volts. Thrown away as unnecessary. Maybe they are still doing?
Olga Mikhailyuk
So it's not that there are no waffle irons at all. There is. And such, hearts. The point is that you want to be takuuuu

Girls who are interested in such a waffle iron appeared here 🔗... Today I looked through my links that I saved when I was looking for a waffle iron. Previously, there was no price (it was not on sale), but now the price is worth it. Maybe there really is?
Elena Bo
I tried to bake cookies today. I put chocolate paste in the middle and folded it in pairs. Somewhere in the middle of the process, it dawned on me that the figures have a front and a back. So I glued half of it wrong. Stupid
🔗 🔗
Dentist
Very nice and very appetizing.
So I realized that these are cookies, identical to nuts, with condensed milk. But when, I make nuts in a special frying pan (on the stove), oil pours from the frying pan and all this flows onto the stove, then I wash it for half a day. And what about this in the waffle iron?
Elena Bo
Everything in the waffle iron is clean, because you don't need to grease it with oil.The panels, when cool, can be removed and washed with a sponge under the tap, or you can simply wipe it off (that's exactly what I did). And the cookies are like nuts (there is also such a form) and the dough is the same for them. It's just that they are cute, the children should like it (only we don't have little ones, we play ourselves).
And make waffles faster.
Lola
Elena Bo Lena, how I envy white envy! I searched all the shops - I could not find it. Thank you so much for the reference. I will wait for delivery messages.
Me too, like Dentist there was a kind of frying pan from which fat was constantly poured onto the stove. Brrrrr. One hassle. There, too, you do not need to lubricate anything, just the fat was released during cooking - from the dough.
Elena Bo
Lola, I know. She herself has such a hazel-tree lying around (it's a pity to throw it away). By the way, nobody needs it? I will give!
But why did the fat flow from that all the time? Doesn't it flow from this?
Maybe because you don't need to turn it over?

Elena Bo
Yes, only in Russia.
But there is an official website of the supplier. Look here 🔗... Maybe they are sending out?
Anastasia
And for the time being, I decided to stop at another model that can bake waffles, but at the same time it is also a grill and a sandwich maker, because I thought that this is still a more profitable option, since bread of a square section goes there once, like we have from bread makers and such a thing will still be more in demand with us. I liked the solidity of the device, while I was looking at the pictures, I was sure that the body of the device was made of plastic. It turned out to be metal, which gives hope for the durability of the work. Replacement plates (there are a total of 6 pieces, 2 for each function) are also solid, heavy, coated with a non-stick coating, dishwasher safe. Expanding When cooking, I plates at a fairly significant distance, that is, you can put rather thick pieces of meat or other products between them. In general, this is a Philips Cucina HD2430 model.
Here is such a device
Waffle maker, hazelnut

Immediately after purchase, it was tested for cooking a la shawarma dish. First, on the grill plates, one by one I fried the onion in half rings, the tomato rings, pieces of chicken and brisket. All this was loaded in layers as it was cooked on pita bread. Lettuce was torn there (in pita bread), herbs-spices and mayonnaise and grated cheese were added. All of this is wrapped up and put back on the grill to warm up and get a beautiful striped pattern on the surface. It turned out delicious. I didn't have time to take a picture. In the end, I was pleased with the purchase.
I managed to photograph the waffles

How long does it take to cook?

If you asked me about the aphelons, then 40 minutes for 10 pieces, they are lush and baked for a long time. It would have been possible to add t of baking - then less time would have been spent.

Thank you! And how much do sandwiches take?

Thank you! And how long do sandwiches take?

I just cooked sandwiches for myself - they were ready quickly - waited until the plates were warmed up - did not even wait until the end was heated and the light went out and put the sandwiches there, though not a very complex design - cheese + brisket. I smeared the pieces of bread with butter a little bit completely outside so that they would brown, otherwise they would become crunchy, but remained pale in color, and as soon as I smeared a drop with butter, they would immediately brown.

Oh, and I'm apparently sick with these things ...I have both Anastasia and Elena and also for the tubes. For nuts I ordered on an Internet in M-Video, they sent it after 2 weeks, they periodically appear there. And in Filipsovskaya I like to make boutiques and grilled eggplant zucchini and then in boutiques with cheese ... but this is not about waffle makers ...

I really liked Elena Bo's waffle iron, but I still have a Soviet-era electric waffle iron in good condition, which bakes thin crunchy waffles and I'm sorry to throw it away. If I figure out where to put a new one, I will definitely buy it.

I also have one. :) Can you tell me what recipe you make your crispy waffles?
Elena Bo
tanya1962, I also have a soviet waffle iron for thin waffles, but this one is completely different and the waffles taste a little cookies, tender, they remind. You can't even compare them.
Rigik
I add my admiration for this wonderful unit! I used to use a Soviet waffle iron, I really liked it, but I wanted something more interesting. Your waffle makers are what you need! Now I will look for everything. An extremely useful thing, especially when there are children (and I myself am very partial to sweets). Now I'm thinking about what next holiday to order her husband for (I don't want to wait for something until the New Year)
stadlen
I also join the owners of this waffle iron. I bought it recently, so I ask how do you bake cookies, or rather, how do you put in the dough so that there are no dough frills around the edges? : - \ The waffles came out great.
Elena Bo
stadlen
We need to get used to it. I put a tablespoon of dough (I just pour it into the middle). This is for flower-hearts for waffles. In nuts, in my opinion, a teaspoon (you need to remove the dough with another spoon, since it turns out thick). It is more difficult to get used to curly cookies, you have to stretch the dough along the figures, and then, after baking, cut off the excess edges.
It is also important that the waffle iron is straight without tilting. Even with a slight incline of the table, the dough slides to one edge.
I baked everything according to the recipes from the instructions (I wanted to check the attached recipes) - the waffles, cookies, and nuts are delicious.
stadlen
So I baked curly cookies today, on the second tab I figured out to lay down sausages. How do you cut the edges? So far, I also use recipes from the instructions, although there are not very many of them, so I will have to search on the Internet and share the successful ones.
Elena Bo
stadlen
I cut off the edges with a knife.
It is convenient for two to bake - one is directly engaged in baking, and the second is cutting the edges. Then I put these scraps in a bag, pound on it with a pusher, so that not very small crumbs are obtained and into their filling. Delicious!
I downloaded a bunch of recipes from the Internet, but I haven't tried it yet. I will work on it!
Bagel
I bought myself a waffle iron like Anastasia's .. multifunctional basic Philips with 3 sets of replaceable plates. I don't like it yet. Hot sandwiches - the bread has to be cut from all sides to ridiculous sizes, solid crust waste, and very plump sandwiches with a mass of filling cannot be done - the distance between the plates does not give .. The grill is very average, or does not heat up normally - despite the thermal indicator is turned off, it has time juice leaks out of the product, here is a somewhat plywood result .. Soft waffles according to the basic recipe from the book, did not like it, fresh pancakes, despite a bunch of syrup, jam and sour cream, did not make an impression on the home ones .. I will look for other recipes, by the way, if I have whom is the recipe for normal Belgian corrugations, please share ... so I'm mowing on a waffle iron with nuts, I'm afraid only my husband will drive in and there is nowhere to put ...

Bagel

It is a pity, of course, that something is not going well with this device.
I make sandwiches-I take homemade bread from a bread machine-square-somewhere here there was a recipe for bread for sandwiches. I don’t cut it off, and I don’t even cut it into triangles, but I just take the squares, put on one filling, pour the sauce, cover it with the second square and put it in the device. There, under the influence of hot plates and reliefs on them, they themselves are divided into triangles, and the edges are sealed. Even in the instructions it is written about this that the edges must be sealed, so I somehow do this from the very beginning. About the number of filling, I also cannot quite agree that it does not fit much, firstly, there is still a small margin of height because of the "vario-lok" lock - at least a bit, but the plates move apart in height, and secondly - molds for sandwiches from this Philips are the same with molds for sandwiches of electric sandwich makers from other companies, so whatever you take, it will seem that there is not enough filling. On the grill plates, I have made shish kebab many times on wooden skewers - the power is quite enough for this, only a lot of juice is released and it has to be drained so that the pieces are fried. I didn't really like the waffles either. For the rest, can you still get used to using it?
Found a link on the cookie forum 🔗 , how else can you use an electric sandwich maker, and judging by the reviews, many are satisfied with the device.

Bagel
Thank you very much, Anastasia, for the recipe, I will look for what pearl sugar is, I think it might be possible to replace it with cane sugar. As for the sandwiches, maybe I have more loaves, because my crusts do not physically fit into a sandwich mold, I have to cut 1-3 cm on each side, but as for the filling, well, yes .. I certainly go too far .. I usually have sandwiches not from bread with sausage, but from sausage with bread, it's a pity that the apparatus did not support me in this. Yes, the edges are sealed, it's convenient. And about the grill, the whole point is that the juice should not stand out on it, this is the whole point of frying, the juice is sealed inside .. in an ordinary grill pan, I have tefal, if it is thoroughly ignited, there is no juice at all , that is why it is inconvenient to fry toasts on it, they burn, so I think, I will repurpose the grill in the waffle iron for toasting ... there is no place for a separate toaster ... thanks again for the advice and the recipe.
