Apple candy in a Panasonic multicooker

Ingredients

Apples
Sugar
Nuts

Cooking method

  • We take the apples, wash them, peel them, remove the cores, grind them in a blender in puree. Place the puree in the MV saucepan. Remove the valve. I put "Baking" for 65 minutes, it was enough for me, but I had only 1 kg. peeled apples. Stir this puree periodically with a silicone spatula. You can add any chopped nuts to the applesauce, I add orange peels, fried in a dry pan and chopped into small crumbs in a blender. The finished puree should thicken, the liquid should evaporate. Next, spread the resulting puree on a sheet of baking paper and leave for 3-4 days at room temperature. A properly dried pastille should not stick to your teeth. Roll the finished pastille into a roll, cut into "rings" and store in a dry place. I store in a jar at room temperature.
  • P.S. If necessary, you can add sugar to the puree, the amount will depend entirely on your taste, I like it without sugar at all, it turns out a very pleasant sweet and sour taste.

Note

Oh, and delicious marshmallow turns out!

Cubic
Oh, how interesting ... but won't it stick to the paper?
Crochet
Cubic
Nope, it will not stick, properly dried pastila itself lags behind the paper without assistance. One has only to pry on one edge, and then she herself. I'm in the process of making marshmallows, most of all I like to roll it into a roll ...
Still very tasty marshmallow is obtained from pears, apricots and plums! This is from what I have tried ...
Cubic
I wonder what you can replace in this recipe with a multicooker?
Hairpin
A pressure cooker?

I thought for a long time before answering your question, try to take a saucepan, I think it should do ...
P.S. I used to always cook in a saucepan, everything would have been fine, only it was constantly burning to the bottom, how often I did not try to stir ... But I probably had a "wrong" saucepan ...
Suslya
Krosh, this is a masterpiece !!! I sit and swallow saliva, my mother bought me such marshmallow as a child, when we lived in Kazan. If you can do it in a saucepan, then I will definitely try, otherwise you can buy a cartoon, honestly
And if in a saucepan, then how much to cook? also 65 min?
Crochet
Suslya
So I cooked it all my adult life in a saucepan, and with the advent of MV I completely spoiled ... Just in a saucepan, the boiling mass needs to be stirred all the time so that it does not burn, although it is also necessary in MV, but less often. The cooking time will depend on the juiciness of the fruit; the juicier the fruit, the longer the moisture will evaporate. In about an hour, maybe a drop more, you need to look at the consistency, how it will look like marmalade, so it's done!

Girls, check out this recipe:

https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=4637.0

Very similar cooking technology, only the marmalade dries much faster! I do the same with apples. Can be cooked with or without sugar.

A pressure cooker?

Hairpin, I think not - the water will not evaporate ... if you only set several baking cycles in a row, you need to think about it ..

I would also love to do it in an electric dryer, only I don't have it ... so I get out as best I can ...

Girls, can you dry in the oven? degrees at 50-60?

For the oven, see here: 🔗
There the recipe is given just for drying pastilles in the oven.

Crumble, can you make plum marshmallow ??? Overripe plums can fit ??? or only "elastic", and from grapes you can make marshmallow ???
Crochet
Iskra
Oh, plum marshmallow is generally a song! Any plum will do (including overripe). But I won't say about grapes - I haven't tried it ... but something tells me that nothing good will come of it, although I may be wrong ...
Iskra
Crochet.
From grapes noverno will definitely not work, because it turns out to be completely liquid.

Crochet, thank you for the marshmallow recipe, very tasty!

P.S. Made in a saucepan from apples "stale" and therefore not very juicy. It was ready in 20 minutes (I also made 1 kg of peeled apples), if I cooked for an hour, I probably would have to lick the saucepan!
Tosha
Thank you . Made from apples with plums, dried in a dryer. They brought such yummy food to my husband from Iran, they dry it on the roofs. And where can you use this marshmallow?

I don’t even know what to say ... We have it and it is so wonderful at odds, or as an addition to a cup of tea, for example ...

Mine are carried like candy, but I thought I could roll it up in baked goods (mini rolls)
Can anyone get rid of?
Iskra

I rolled the plum marshmallow into rolls, then cut it thinly and sprinkled it with powdered sugar. We got home sweets. The household liked it.
And I cut the apple into slices, and sprinkled with powder and cocoa.
Katyushka
While reading everything I cast glances at a large basket full of apples, the conclusion - tomorrow I will do it. And regarding the use, the idea was born - cut into squares, put a nut there and roll it up in a bag, I think it will be delicious. If I do, I will definitely unsubscribe.

So I came across this topic with a recipe, and my husband said that his grandmother made him such a marshmallow from apples, twisted it in a meat grinder, and then smeared the gruel on polyethylene and put these trays on the roof under the hot Volgograd sun. Well, we decided that we would also try. They ground apples and plums into porridge with a blender, it was too lazy to cook, so they simply put baking paper on trays in an infrared dryer (Dachnik-4), poured the gruel into it, turned it on and waited. I was all afraid that because of my laziness (that I did not cook) something would be wrong. But nothing! We updated my husband's childhood memories - the pastille dried up to the desired condition in 18 hours. We rolled it into rolls without any problems. So you can do it without cooking.
Thank you so much for reminding me of such a quick and healthy recipe. Somehow it never occurred to us to harvest the fruit like that, but now our diet will be enriched with one more dish - there are even fewer sweets for children to buy.
Rezlina
mish, I also dry marshmallow in a summer resident Dried from apples, plums with apples, plums with bananas. I don't cook anything, I just pass it through a meat grinder. Delicious!
I cut into slices with a curly knife (the edges are wavy)
Girls, where do you store it? How long can such a marshmallow be stored?
mish
Rezlina,
I can't answer about storage, because the first experience and also really want to clarify this question for myself from the author of the topic. And tonight I dried out another portion of apple marshmallow (I just didn't wake up in the middle of the night, as usual, and didn't make the dryer quieter) and I got apple chips. The five-year-old son was delighted.

This way I got plum chips that were bitter ... had to be thrown away ...
And the apple was also dried to chips. Only if they lie down, then they still become soft. My daughter also loves chips, and I myself

Oh, and delicious marshmallow turns out!
Krosh, thanks for the recipe. My hands reached him today. The puree turned out to be 2, 2 kg. First I cooked it on Baking for 40 minutes, then it began to stick to the bottom and I moved it to Stewing. I added zest of lemon and almonds, I don't know if it works. And I really want it to work. If you see my post soon, then write what you think about Quenching? Will my candy boil down in this mode? Or am I too large? Thank you

I cooked on "Pastry", stirring occasionally, nothing stuck ... On "Stew" I think you can try, but I would pull out the valve, or did you do that? I think you will succeed! Good luck to you !

Krosh, thanks. I pulled out the valve, probably I have too much puree. I have already cooked on Pastry three times for 60 minutes, I left Stewing, it cooked well under that mode, it did not stick, but very slowly. Now I put everything on a baking sheet, put it in the oven, maybe it's ready, it darkened a little, but in consistency it looks like porridge, so I don't know if it's ready. Krosh, thanks for your prompt reply.

Krosh, I am accountable for my marshmallow. I transferred it from the multicooker to a baking sheet (this is after 3 times in the Baking mode), dried it a little, and then laid it on parchment. Now I'll wait to see if it hardens. I just thought that, perhaps, you can cover the drying trays with parchment (they are in my wire rack), spread with applesauce and set to dry. Maybe someone tried it, please respond. And yet not ready-made marshmallow is so tasty! I didn't add sugar, only ground lemon zest and chopped almonds.

Of course, you can dry the marshmallow in the dryer, it will be much faster (the girls wrote about this somewhere)! It's just that, in the absence of a dryer, and due to the presence of a disgusting oven (not even having a thermometer), I dry the pastille at room temperature ...

Krosh, I saw that they are drying in dryers (Dachnik-4), but I think that there is a flat surface, but I began to think about my own and realized that if it was lined with paper, then it was quite possible to dry it in it. So I will. Now such drying !!! This Dachnik-4 even has infrared radiation. Thank you, Krosh, for your support and tips. And your cat is just a miracle

Crochet, and I am about pasted from apricots. My apricots are not at all presentable and crumpled, and dark, in general, for jam / confiture the wrong style. Will such freaks be good for this case?
And how thin should you spread it on the parchment?
RybkA
I'm already dry ...
I smeared it as it happened, tried evenly, but still it came out thicker in the middle. It dries along the edges and turns into a newspaper in thickness Probably, I smeared it thinly ... I dry it at + 50 * C in the oven until I get bored, then I will increase it if that ...
Crochet
RybkA
Forgive me, my dear for not answering your question in time, missed for some reason ...I spread the mass as thinly as possible, so you did it right. Now the main thing is not to dry your marshmallow, otherwise it will start to break! The main thing is to stop in time!

So for the marshmallow this is what the doctor ordered! The same thing! Although I like to take a little punch for food, as for me they are the most delicious, overripe!

Explain, please, what I am doing wrong: today I smeared the pastille on the parchment, it is all absorbed into the paper and there is no hint that it will be scraped off. I have a stove with a fan (I don't remember how to call it correctly), in general, everything dries very quickly. Is the paper bad? And if it grows a little oiled. oil before spreading? Help please, I already have 5 liters of boiled puree at the ready. Maybe it doesn't dry out without sugar (I have added a little fructose).
Suslya
Innuuuus, I did everything to you with the marshmallow just as you said, boiled it, smeared it, dried it. It took 3 days, I was lying on the balcony, krasotischaaaa, and I didn't need a dryer, otherwise I cut out circles there with a hole in the middle ... and then I smeared it and no trouble. I shot great, I went straight toaaaa - I rolled it over here, turn it around .. turn it around .. turn it around again ... while taking a picture the little mustache gnawed on the edge, and asks - "Are you going to take pictures with the gnawed?" and gru - kaneshna .. well this gives the current beauty ... she was so happy that she already had to save the marshmallow for the photo shoot

Hello girls, can you make such a marshmallow from apple cake, what remains after squeezing the juice? Or is he too tight for the case? Maybe add a little juice to it?
Antonovka
Mariii,
Marin, I won't tell you about oil cake marshmallows - because I didn't. But last year I did this from the cake, it turned out awesome - it's a pity, this year there are no apples

Apple jelly
Mariii
Antonovkathanks for the hint. This year there are heaps of apples, so I'll use the link. Just lit up and make this marshmallow. Now I cook cherry plum for marshmallow, so who else would suggest what layer to smear?

Crochet, Inna thanks for the recipe! ...
And tell me, from last year's apple jelly with zhelfix such a mnyam will turn out?
Nobody eats me like shoe polish.
Crochet
Ksyusha, I find it difficult to answer, I didn't have to try ...

But to be honest, personally, I would have put the jelly on something else), it will be a pity, if as a result of some kind of chukhnya it turns out ...

Jelly is juice with sugar, right?

To prepare marshmallow, additional boiling will most likely be required ...

You can, of course, smear it on a sheet and dry it, but ... no, I definitely wouldn't ... but this is IMHO ...

Irgata
not in the subject, I will agree

Any apple preparation that is not eaten in its pure form is quickly consumed if you add it to yeast bread dough instead of sugar and as a thickener and sweetener when instantly cooking ketchup from store-bought tomato puree (paste). Here.

How this recipe passed me by Even though apples are expensive, but who knows, maybe you will have to make this marshmallow. Especially in my beloved Panaska
