Banica with feta cheese and spinach

Ingredients

Dough 1 pack
Brynza 400 g
Egg 1 PC
Fat kefir 150 ml
Soda At the tip of a knife
Rust oil for lubrication 120 ml
Oil drain 20 g
Fresh spinach 2 bundles

Cooking method

  • This is a very quick version of the ready-made filo dough. We sell thin, unleavened dough in the Ramstore chain of stores. It is also called borek dough. I also made from purchased unleavened puff pastry, rolling it out very thinly.
  • Grate cheese, add egg and kefir and stir well. Add chopped spinach and baking soda and stir. Spread the dough (the whole pack) in a pile on the table. Line a baking dish with baking paper. Grease the top sheet of dough from the stack with vegetable oil, fold in half and put on the bottom of the mold. Repeat. Grease the next sheet with vegetable oil, lay out the filling in a path on one side of the sheet:
  • Banica with feta cheese and spinach
  • Roll up with a tube and spread in a spiral shape, starting from the edges:
  • Banica with feta cheese and spinach
  • When the whole form is filled, cover the banitsa with two missed and folded sheets of dough, grease the top with vegetable oil, bend the edges inward and distribute the butter over the surface:
  • Banica with feta cheese and spinach
  • Bake at 160 degrees with convection for 30 minutes. Here's what happens:
  • Banica with feta cheese and spinach

Time for preparing:

20 min cooking and 30 min baking

Note

I made puff pastry in AF. She rolled out a large sheet, rolled it with the filling into a tube and then into a snail. Baked in AF without bedding.

Tell me: how many grams of dough is a pack? I have 250 gr filo
Babushka
Elena, if we sell dough, then 300 gr. You can take any amount. Depends on the form you fill out.

Thank you!

Today I bought this dough. In a pack of 800 grams. I cooked in the princess pizza oven on a spinach-free Teflon rug. It took 1/3 of the pack.

Thank you. Very simple, fast and of course very tasty! I don't like spinach made with green onions. I somehow forgot to take a picture yesterday (I will still do it and I will fix it with other fillings), it was wonderfully fluffy ... But, there was a piece in the fridge Banica with feta cheese and spinach

Thanks for the recipe! I really like to cook such a banitsa. Moreover, this recipe is universal, I cook from filo dough, and from puff pastry, from ready-made pita bread. It always turns out very tasty and fast. I always have dough in the freezer for this.
My troubles - I grease the layers of dough with melted butter + filling. And I pour a ready-made and full baking sheet with blanks on top: eggs + sour cream.

Elena, thanks for such a wonderful photo! Very nice and delicious! Bravo!

Taya, this is delicious! Thank you! Drooling straight! I also cook banitsa with different fillings and from different doughs. And from the filo dough, I have several recipes for grilling. It makes life very easy, unfortunately, filo is rarely imported here.
