Ingredients

Rice flour 65 gr.
Wheat flour 3 tbsp. l. (no top)
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Vegetable oil 4 tbsp. l.
Butter (melted) 1 tbsp. l.
Milk 150 ml

Cooking method

  • If there is no rice flour, you can grind the rice and then sift (I did).
  • No starch is needed, it is present in rice flour.
  • I measure wheat flour in spoons, because I measured them in spoons, determining the required volume.
  • I really love rice pancakes, so I decided to try making rice waffles. I understood the following - it is important that the dough is watery, so that the waffles are thin, so that they are not rough.
  • I can’t say that the waffles made me especially happy, but for a change it’s very good.
  • We mix all the ingredients. We leave for 10 minutes - rice flour is hygroscopic, the dough will thicken slightly, even if at first it seemed too liquid. We bake in a waffle iron for thin waffles, spreading / pouring 1 tbsp on a mold. l. test.

  • The last photos show that the bottom is denser waffles, and the top is thinner. The upper ones turned out to be more fragile.

vitalareg, I also love rice pancakes more than others. There are three types of waffle irons: for thin waffles, "flowers" (medium thickness - for cookies), for Belgian waffles (the thickest). The best waffle makers are Cloer. I have a Cloer 271 for thin waffles.
