Veal at home

Ingredients

veal breast 1 kg
potatoes 0.5KG
onion (large) 1 PC
for the marinade:
dijon mustard 2 h l
natural yogurt (thick) 100 g
salt pepper taste
marjoram, thyme 0.5 h l
olive oil 2 tbsp
olive oil for frying
chicken or vegetable broth 500-700 ml
dry white wine 50 ml
butter 50 g

Cooking method

  • 1. Mix yoghurt with mustard, olive oil, dry herbs, salt and pepper. Grease pieces of meat with the resulting marinade and leave to marinate for 30 minutes. Then remove excess marinade from the pieces of meat with paper towels and quickly fry until golden brown.
  • 2. Cut the onion into half rings and lightly fry. Place it on the bottom of a deep baking dish and place the pieces of meat on top. Pour in boiling broth, wine, cover and place in an oven preheated to 180C for an hour.
  • 3. Peel the potatoes, cut into large wedges, salt and add to the meat. Pour in about a tablespoon of olive oil and add butter. Return to the oven for another thirty minutes.

Note

The result is a juicy, aromatic and satisfying dish that is not at all difficult to prepare.
