Applesauce Sissy

Ingredients

Apples
Lemon juice
Water
Sugar

Cooking method

  • Peel the apples, cut and fold in a saucepan, sprinkle with lemon juice for color. If sour, add sugar. Pour a little water (so as not to even cover the apples) and simmer until they turn into mashed potatoes (at the end, you can knead the remaining pieces). Arrange in jars, if sterilized, it may not stand in the refrigerator.

Note

"sissy" - she seemed to be with cream ..

I know this recipe, it's very tasty.

Delicious!

I tried to close the baby sissy in 3 ways, and in my opinion the following is more suitable:
CHILD sissy
3kg. apples
2 glasses of water
sugar to taste
We clean and cut the apples without pits and centers, fill in with 2 glasses of water and boil for 15 minutes. Wipe quickly through a sieve and lay out in sterilized jars, cover with a sterilized lid and sterilize in water in a saucepan 0.5 l-15 min, 1 l-20 min. Amazing color, consistency like purchased puree in baby food. Yes, and as much sugar as you like (it is added to mashed puree)

You have found the exact proportions for making mashed potatoes, I will definitely write them down

The essence of the recipe is the same, but I sprinkle the apples with lemon juice so that they do not darken.

I propose to make this discussion a separate post, now I will write Crochetwhen she comes back will put things in order here, otherwise we are very far away from apple jam

APPLESAUCE - very tender, made from any apples that need to be processed quickly

Applesauce Sissy

Made in a pressure cooker (Unit):

Peel the apples, cut and put in a saucepan.

Sprinkle with lemon juice (so as not to darken), fill with water so that the water does not cover them. You can add a little sugar to taste.

Close the lid and soar under pressure for 15 minutes, I did it on the "porridge"Apples become completely soft: now they must either be wiped through a sieve and heated again, or in a hurry: just knead, which I did.

Everything, put in jars and leave under a towel until it cools.

If you add sour cream or cream when serving, then there will be a real "Sissy"

Class! I would make this sissy with cream from any homemade jams and preserves before serving

And which didn’t come before

From "boiled" apples I cook mashed potatoes a little differently. I love applesauce It tastes one to one like the same puree in half-liter jars

Peel the apples, cut into pieces / grate. In a saucepan with a thick bottom under the apples, pour a little water - just so that it doesn't start burning right away. Put on medium heat, stir occasionally. The apples will spill over into the puree. Add sugar to the puree, boil for a few more minutes and pour into sterilized jars for seaming or a screw cap, turn over. Since there are few apples and I cook only 2-4 jars, I store them in the refrigerator.

not everything is boiled - either with a crush or a blender. it's impossible to make me wipe through a sieve))) sugar 200 g per 1-1.3 kg of apples))))

Just yesterday, almost today, I was taking apart my culinary and recipe heaps, came across my recipe for "Sissies", made it for 2 years, my husband is crazy about her
How could I forget about him? We need to improve immediately, although they are expensive this year, apples ...
I have a recipe like this
Steam 5 kg of peeled and chopped apples and rub through a colander, add 100 g of sugar and bring to a boil, add 1 can of condensed milk and boil again. Arrange in banks and roll up.
The puree turns out to be very tender and moderately sweet, and if you also blend it before using it, well, in general, NICE (

And this year I make applesauce from the leftovers after spilling freshly squeezed juice through cheesecloth. They squeezed out on Sadovaya and Neptune, they are very productive, but the juice comes with a lot of ready-made puree: for example, it turned out 18 liters of pure juice and 14 kg of puree. apples - Streyfling (autumn striped).
Boil this puree in jars, you can add sugar, and you don't need to do anything else.

Today is a very fruitful year for apples, I rummaged through the entire Internet, I thought, what else to cook from apples. And then I found it, I will cook "Nezhenka", I will try with condensed milk, as I want a creamy taste.

PS: After all, our site is a treasure trove of recipes! I looked everywhere, but here again I found what I needed

I make such a puree from the apples left after getting juice in a juicer. I just puree apples with a blender and into jars. I don't add sugar. And in winter, if you wish, you can add sugar, condensed milk. Juice production for the winter is waste-free.

The proportions are for this recipe.
5 kg. peeled apples (I have my own Antonovka)
100g. Sahara
1 can of condensed cream (Belarusian-made cream, I only forgot the manufacturer, but I plan to make another portion, I will buy more cream, and if interested, I will write to the manufacturer).
I not only brought it to a boil, but also boiled it a little, so that it was thicker. She let it cool, spun it with a blender, again on the stove, brought it to a boil, added sugar and cream, let it boil for another 5 minutes and began to put the boiling puree in sterile jars and close it with sterile lids.

Just be more careful with him, with this puree, spits, bastard, when boiling ...

Jars of 0.25.
I buy in the market "Gardener", there is such a tent, and it is called "Banks and Lids".
There is also a company in Balashikha, also called "Banks and Lids", they may be cheaper, but I bought these at 9 rubles per jar.

Delicious!! Thanks for the recipe!

I cooked it with condensed milk ... before, it was waste from a juicer, rubbed through a sieve, and without any additives - very tasty, but I stopped using the juicer and had to use a similar recipe: I just peeled and cut the apples, boiled, mashed, added condensed milk, mixed ... here - then, and there was an embarrassment
vaunted Rogachevskaya, corny, curled up ... and this is 6 months before the expiration date
I blend it again, boiled it, but small flakes remained ... this was the only Belarusian product that I still bought ...
