Rice & fried noodles let's call it like this
I heard that this dish was called "Turkish rice". And our friends the Turks cooked like that. And I cook it in the microwave.
Gypsy
I think how many countries there are so many names for this dish. In Israel I do not know what it is called. The author has this pilaf, if you read further, then
this standard plov dish is well known throughout the Mediterranean and the Middle East and beyond. Mixing rice with different types of pasta is nothing new - as if you've ever seen it in any restaurant or Lebanese eatery.

this option with herbs.

I didn’t add anything like that, no seasoning, because I cooked for the child.

Israeli variant with pine nuts

Another option is Mejadra, it is with lentils, pistachios, caramelized onions and parsley.

I watch similar recipes from the Israelites, they call this garnish rice noodles

I liked this simple dish, now I do it often. It is tasty to add vegetables, for example, frozen green peas \ I wish I could eat it \. Today I made with rice noodles, especially with rice chinese thin, long so, it turned out delicious, but the rice noodles did not want to grill, so it remained almost white.

How much water do you need to pour?
Gypsy

How much water do you need to pour?
Be guided by rice, that is, take the volume of noodles as the volume of rice. For example, if you have the volume of vermicelli + the volume of rice = 2 tbsp, then pour water until risky 2.
Elenka
Gypsy, thanks for the recipe! Today I cooked it for a side dish, I liked it and the homemade ones approved. Delicious and interesting. Spider web vermicelli fried on the stove (to make it faster), I took water from the ratio of 1.5 cups of dry products - 2 cups of water and it turned out just right. Neither noodles nor rice were overcooked.
Lika
As an option - instead of vermeshli stars
Rice & fried noodles
Asterisk / rice ratio 1: 3, water 2 tbsp for the whole mixture.
Gypsy
oh thanks, I didn't think of it myself, tomorrow I'll do it for my child

Am I confused instead of rice? or instead of vermesh?
tatulja12
1/3 stars, 2/3 rice. The same recipe, only stars instead of noodles. What if I'm lying? We must wait for the hostess. I began to think and also got confused. Or 1 part stars and 3 parts rice?
Gypsy
the proportions of rice / vermicelli are not important, it's a matter of taste
and then I did not make asterisks, but ringlets, vermicelli .. the child ate

Of course, instead of vermeshli. I apologize for confusing, I have already corrected everything.
For 1 part stars, 3 parts rice.

Thank you, I have flowers, I think they will do!
As soon as I cook it, I'll report it.

And I made vermicelli - 1 tbsp., Rice - 0.5 tbsp., Water - 2 tbsp. and ghee. It turned out delicious. Next time I'll try without rice.
solen

Good evening, dear. So I didn't know that rice with noodles is such a recipe.Thank you very much for enlightening! After all, in the fall in Turkey I was very offended by the cooks in the hotel, when I put myself some boiled rice and found noodles there too. And for a long time I wondered what had to be done so that they were in the same pan. Truly, live and learn.

And what is the multi mode? Did on "Pilaf" and heating for 30 minutes. - did not like. There was no looseness of rice, somehow everything was dull
Gypsy
the mode is ordinary * white rice *, but this is if you have just such a rice.

2 words, if off-top, will be removed: flowers: I also thought earlier - as possible combine cereals together? (we are not pigs, so in one trough?). Then I tried, on the advice, to add rice when cooking milk millet porridge, it turned out very tasty. Moreover, millet itself is rough, especially on the second day, and especially without milk. And rice, even if for cereals (the cut is so small), it gives such plasticity and tenderness and lack of ramming this millet .. Then I experimented and combined buckwheat with rice and buckwheat with pearl barley. Such porridge is boring. By the way, for baby food it is also recommended to combine cereals - 2 times more useful. So eclecticism is welcome not only in looks, but also in products.

solen so many people think. Now she asked her overage son - how do you like this dish - rice with noodles? He said that they cook it in the morning, when the vermicelli remains cold from dinner, they fried in a pan and add rice from lunch. Well gotta roll up our sleeves and show the cooking class fried vermicelli and rice

This is now, before everything was separate - oatmeal, rice, semolina.

So you need to take a different ratio of water-rice. Were the vermicelli fried in a pan or also in a cartoon?

NOT-A, they will not be removed, but referred to the topic of cooking porridge

Rice & fried noodles
So I tried. For my taste, you can lay down a whole cup of noodles and fry them harder.
BUT the main thing is that children EAT!
HELP! I went to give out thanks ...
Gypsy

Girls, and in what mode do you fry noodles in CF? Already 25 minutes on the Baking mode, but little sense. Last time I cooked in a rice cooker, so just make sure that it doesn't burn
And then what mode do you put on: Buckwheat? Pilaf?
RybkA
And on what mode can you fry besides Baking? Today I cooked fried noodles with rice, but I just suffered. I fried for 30 minutes on Pastry, the vermicelli practically did not change color, and even in the bargain, it stuck together, which had never happened before.
Then I switched to Grechka, I thought it would be faster there, but it turned out, on the contrary, everything calmed down completely.
In general, today I am upset ...
Luysia
Baking has the highest temperature (I read somewhere that 180 degrees)
RybkA
180 *? There was barely a rustle there. In a rice cooker, only have time to wave a spoon so that it doesn't burn ...
Can the lid be open during frying or should it be closed?
Luysia
You cannot open the lid only in automatic modes (Buckwheat, Pilaf, Milk porridge), otherwise the program will fail.

And on others it is possible (Baking, Stewing, Steaming).

We have little practice, but I studied theory conscientiously!

RybkA
So maybe it is better to fry on Steam?
Luysia

So maybe it is better to fry on Steam?

The temperature there is only 100 degrees for boiling water.
Lika
RybkA , fry the vermicelli in a pan. Firstly, the multi coverage will not suffer, and secondly, it is much faster and everything will be as it should.

In the Baking mode when frying, not baking, you can open the lid. But remember that it also heats up, there is a heating element in it - be careful !!!!
Gypsy
I'm frying on * steaming *
RybkA
Lika, I already realized that the Baking program is rather weak for such things. Honestly, I was upset. Next time I will either be in a rice cooker, if I do at least 1 tbsp. or fry the vermicelli in a skillet.

Yes? I'll try this too ...
Luysia
I cooked such a side dish today!

I took 1 cup of cobweb noodles, 1 cup of rice and 3 cups of water.

Fried vermicelli in a frying pan in butter (1 tbsp. l. with a slide) to Brown color... It is very fast, literally a few minutes.

Then I added rice, water and salt. Buckwheat mode.

Sorry for almost repeating the original recipe, but this is for those who cooked and failed. Try it!

Gypsy, Thank you! I just put it a second time (for my husband's lunch tomorrow).
And a little bonus - steam cutlets in the basket at the same time are obtained too.
svet_ik
That's interesting, I will definitely try! Moreover, my smallest of all the side dishes "Rodina will sell" for rice and pasta !!!
Luysia
I cook this side dish regularly now, once a week for sure!

When frying vermicelli, it is imperative to stir it constantly and butter
no regrets.
nakapustina
I also decided to cook today, based on the Luysia recipe.
I just fried noodles at once in a cartoon. First, I put the baking for 20 minutes, warmed up the oil well with the lid open, fried the noodles until golden brown, then added rice, fried everything together, added a little pizza seasoning (I like it, I add it where I need it and I don’t need it), salt and pour boiling water. Then she turned off the cartoon from the socket, turned on the "buckwheat" mode.
We have already tried it with my mother (she is 87 years old, very capricious in food), we liked it.
A little undersalted, but this is my illness (or oversalted or undersalted), my husband will try later.
Gypsy and Luysia, thanks for the recipe! There is no limit to perfection

nakapustina, try to fry the vermicelli in a pan and not until golden brown, but until brown. It will not be 20 minutes, but much faster and tastier for my taste.
nakapustina
Thank you, I will definitely try. It's just that my Teflon frying pan was occupied, for another I only bake pancakes and pancakes, and the cast iron pan is so big and heavy, I thought it would need to be washed ...
Thanks again. I will repeat
RybkA
In my cartoon, the vermicelli does not want to fry at all, one torment. And in the rice cooker, it's a nice thing, because it's brown. So now, if necessary in small volumes, I fry in a pan.
shuska
Girls, something didn't work out for me
More precisely, the rice was not cooked for the Buckwheat program. I opened it after the signal, and there was a rather dry mass. Macaroni stars like nothing, but the rice is undercooked. Rice took "Zhmenka" for sushi. Maybe he is to blame? As a result, I added a little more water and put another Buckwheat cycle. After the signal, I received more cooked rice, but still harsh. Probably all the same the rice didn't fit. But I am also embarrassed by the fact that you boil everything on one cycle Buckwheat, and I had to double the cooking time. I'm already nervous that something is wrong with the cartoon ...:
RybkA
shuska The sushi rice is usually soaked. In general, this is good rice, I often take it for sushi.
